Was this another one of Ford's "better ideas"? I'm beyond frustrated by this Sync4a garbage. It's complicated, distracting, and takes a huge amount of research from various resources to learn it. There's no dedicated manual for sync 4a, other than what's on the screen, which is ridiculous. There is some basic information in the online owner manual for sync, but much of it is not accurate. It'll show you a screen, but it's different than what you have. It'll tell you to press a 'tile', but you don't see it on the screen and there's nothing telling you where that tile (or icon) is or how to get to it. Things like that. Ford's reasoning for not including a printed owner manual and a printed sync 4a manual is something to the effect of "you no longer have to worry about taking up space in the glove box with manuals". No Ford, it's about saving a few bucks.
One thing I can't quite figure out, just took delivery today. My new lightning is set to miles per hour in miles with the speedometer and display but in the GPS it is telling me how far things are in km And I can't seem to find a separate setting to adjust that to be miles. Any ideas?
I am a technologically advanced persona and have had my Lighting for a couple of weeks, messing with all these settings for a while. And, I learned a lot from this video. Thank you! (And thank you UA-cam for the 2.0 playback speed setting to save my time).
Ford allows a typical F150 power boost or Eco Boost audio upgrade from 8 speakers to 18 speakers for only $300 on a gas engine type. Would this upgrade be allowed on the Lightning?
I love these in depth videos. It helped make the sale when we bought our 2021 Ford Escape. Now my comment. Speed Sign Recognition. Driving in Illinois, or any place with a 'Truck Speed Limit', everytime it dropped the set speed to the Truck speed limit. and rolling down the Illinois interstate the TRUCK speed limit sign was 1 mile after the regular speed limit sign. It is good for construction sites but you have to drive your vehicle.
I think the one time charge limit is most useful when you want to charge to 100%. Otherwise, you charge to a max of 80 or 90%. This is something I wish Tesla had.
While I'll agree the video is well done as are all of your videos from TC TV - the absurdity of these giant IPad's thrown onto dashboards is out of hand. It's like a contest to see who can put the biggest, fluff riddled, TV screens in your face. From a design point alone it is absolutely ugly.
Reverse brake should be left off IMO. You have cameras, you can see what you're going to hit. If you leave it on, it won't allow you to snug up to bushes, which you need to do with such a big truck when parking. It's also really annoying when backing up and there might be some tree branches that you need to hug. I literally had to fight the thing to be able to back up in my driveway because some palms hang over a little.
Great question, all the new features would be great with my 2018 Raptor. i plan on adding in the Pro Power onboard, "after market if forced to" updating the 360*, front and rear cameras with the most current verisons as itshould be just a plug and go. Ford is so bad at providing upgrades for model changes which cost them a ton of money in extra revenio, its crazy how stupid corperate management is and just think about all the extra money with them providing a factory warrenty as an option.
I know it's not on this topic, but anyone found a way to shut off the voice prompts on these? I drive 5 mph stop and go a lot on unpaved roads opening and closing cattle gates and the seat beat reminder voice wont stop. I got rid of the dinger by following the manual, but the voice prompts remains.

I think the infotainment Center and the regular 150 Ford did a good job don't like the screen on the F-150 Lightning they gave it a Tesla touch Ford didn't need to go that route
"Auto" fan speed on Fords should be Really Low, Not quite so Low, and Low. This is not any different from gas F150's though. Just humorous. But Ford fan speed aside, OUTSTANDING video, many thanks! I just got my Lightning this week, and this showed me a ton more than I am too lazy to watch individual Ford manual videos for!
20:12 with headphones I may have had slight heart attack. But great video. I ordered a MME in Feb now really thinking about canceling getting a lightning!!! Great how to for beginners!!
Thanks for the tutorial. My truck is on the way. I was wondering if it collects video from the cameras and if you can download and save it in case of accident or vandalism.
I would like to remove both the Charging Port Door as well as the “For Show” Stationary Panel on the passenger side. I want to paint these then re-install them. Could you kindly point me in the direction of how to remove and re-install both of those panels?
I wish the Expedition with the 15” SYNC4A screen had some of these features. We don’t get drive modes, user profiles, trailer camera, trailer TPMS to name a few things that I would REALLY be interested in using.
Really helpful video, thank you for taking the time to do this, it really help to understand better all the settings in my new Lighting in California. Appreciated
8:09 I really dislike touch HVAC controls and would prefer buttons and knobs. Hopefully the regular 2024 F-150 does not use touch HVAC controls.
That’s my only pet peeve too, I just use the voice commands for them

Just wanted to give you props I usually don’t watch 1hr tutorials but this was great!! Very informative and not boring like others I’ve seen.
That's a nice control panel. But will ford do a update so you can watch UA-cam videos while in parked or charging?
"Without further adieu, I am six foot two."

helps with that southern drawl :D
The response time is very 2010ish

I'm picking up my new 24' Rapid Red Lightning Flash tomorrow!!! your video was a GREAT help!!! Thank you so much, it earned you a sub!!

I would love to place a Lightning order from you guys when the banks open back up.
Wow fantastic video. Very detailed now I really can't wait for my truck...

Thank You , but you didn't explain how to find charge stations highlighted on your map ?
GREAT WORK - many thanks !
Is there an easier way to turn off hvac other than hitting the fan icon 7 times or going i to a sub menu
I don't have the truck icon in upper left.
Did '23 model change?
Thanks - Your videos are the best. Q - Can I upgrade my 2018 F-150 to SYNC 4A?

Hi I do have since3 and it is connecting to a phone but not connecting to media .Do you know a fix for that .
Excellent video..... so much great information. Thank you.
Awesome informative video as always

Love the truck and features.
Guys be careful it's a telegram scam on here. don't accept no prizes if you receive that message
What you need I know you are not the host of this video bro how can I help you?
20:12 with headphones I may have had slight heart attack. But great video. I ordered a MME in Feb now really thinking about canceling getting a lightning!!! Great how to for beginners!!
How come the F150 Electric has the ventilated seats and the Mach-E doesn't?

can an aftermarket sound system be put in these EVs without it affecting range??
2-3 amps, subwoofers, bigger speakers.
I would like to know as well.
@@-Dwight-Schrute I'm thinking not. Those things draw tons of power.
@@michaelace4739 True but this truck has a standard 12V battery like all vehicles and that's what I power my current system with... so maybe ok?
@@-Dwight-Schrute so it charges as it goes? It has an alternator?
@@michaelace4739 has an inverter to step down the high voltage to 13 to 15 volts.
Ford Technology is an oxymoron
Great video! I can’t find anywhere how to master reset. Can you provide instructions?
A great video as usual
How come my sync 4 doesn't have that turn dial on the screen?
thats the cars design... not sync 4 design...
Perfect video to the point.
can you display android auto and how it looks on this ford lightning display?
Thank you Mitch
I love the fact you can change it to a manual tailgate… the electronic tailgate is one of my biggest pet peeves for some reason…
It seems that Ford did some excellent market research.
Great video. Up fully some of the option in the menu will be added to the Mach E. Ex the one time charging option.
Can you pause the video and check your 58 messages 😝
Brilliant tutorial which really shows how clever this car is.
Say it again, I forgot how tall Mitch was. He owes his listeners a chance to hear it at least once.
Merci Tank you
I have a built date the week of 8-8-2022. How long does it take to build and get to dealership
Takes about 4-5 weeks. One week for production. One to two weeks for inspection and one week for delivery 🙌
The console looks like a button monstrosity.
So is it in the Mach E or the 2022 Bronco & Bronco Sport ?
I wish the Expedition with the 15” SYNC4A screen had some of these features. We don’t get drive modes, user profiles, trailer camera, trailer TPMS to name a few things that I would REALLY be interested in using.
You can probably add those features via Forscan
Still loving those Nitto tires! 😎🍷🛻
Great job thank you
Thanks Great Video
Need help modifying my key
Good music choices!
What a ton of good info!
Excellent
Really helpful video, thank you for taking the time to do this, it really help to understand better all the settings in my new Lighting in California. Appreciated
Game changer as in the ugliest f150 ever made
