- In this video, I install a 4 inch rear lowering kit in my 1976 Ford F-150. I had a lot of trouble fighting rivets and seized bolts, but I was able to get everything installed eventually!
I'd like to thank the UW Stout Auto Club for all their help.
Thanks for watching!
Joey

Dope! I'm just starting my 73
That was some sweet hold your tongue in just the right position action lmao
You shouldn't have tightened the bolts on the shackles or the front of the leaf untill the truck is sitting on the ground. Push down on the bumper then tighten everything up. Everything is in a bit of a bind when you tighten them without the weight of the truck on them and at the angle they will be sitting at when on the ground. FYI
Flip Em I retightened the bolts when the truck was on the ground, I just didn’t film it
I’m pretty sure what he’s saying is you should’ve left everything loose until it was on the ground and then tightened it, not tighten it twice
@@danfrederick3172 That's exactly what I meant 👍
I love those Milwaukee blades
How did u lower the front ?
Do you have some sort of drop in the front to get it to sit that low?
I have Crown Vic front suspension, with worn out struts
So what is the part # for the lowering kit you used? And from where?
if you havnt found a way to lower it more, if you dont plan on hauling anything heavy consider taking a leaf out of the leaf spring pack. softer ride and lower
I sold it
Did the eBay hangers line up with the holes from the old hangers or did you drill new holes. I didn't see you knock out bolts. Thanks, thinking out doing this. I did the shackles and got about the same drop as you.
I believe they did, can’t remember for sure
@@minnesotamotors Thanks for getting back to me. That frame is old school steel. It seems like drilling eight hole through that monster would be unforgettable. I don't want to do that.
We are so spoiled down here in the states that don't have to salt the roads. I have an 87 F350 that drug home for parts that is so clean underneath that it looks like its one year old.
What diameter bolts are those for the shackles and hangers
scotty t 9/16 x 4.5 inches
Hello....are you not going to do the mark 8 rear suspension swap?
Jerry Jones I’m not sure right now. I still would like to
Did you install the shocks?
ChickenLegMan No I decided not to mess with them
Id get yourself some Por15 and coat the rust on anything you plan on saving on that truck.
What's going on with that Impala??
Tacroll Fives It belongs to my car club
is that a 65 impala in the garage 🤔
Sshy shy Yep!
Why didn't you replace your bushings?
Good luck with that. If they aren't trash, I wouldn't create a whole different a×× whoopin with getting those out and new in.
Explorer springs are shorter
I think you didn’t get all 4 inches bro bc you put the shackles on the wrong whole
Hole ^***
Dude, you need more power tools.
