In the kit, DJM should do something about the sway bar link fitting. If you’re going to pay that much for an install and go, you shouldn’t have to fabricate stuff. Seems like an easy enough part to fab and include in the $850 kit.🤷🏻
You got a video on how to do the rear from what I understand it’s just getting the leaf springs underneath but don’t know where the shackles go and if there’s any thing else to it as well
came out good 👍 I was checking your install out I have A 69 F250 I just did the dream beams on it , they don't make them for my application but from 65-72 the king pin was the same on a 100 and 250 so I was able to use them . I'm also surprised DJM offered the flip brackets there usually big on spring hangers I used a flip kit from another co . not much changed from 69 to your year just advanced a little .
@@icsivan I'm hoping it's going to ride better it had very long coil springs factory cuz they really promoted that twin I-beam in the early 60s that car like ride works like a truck drives like a car idea the suspension is pretty much done I just did a lot of other things at the same time so I need to do some wiring for a gear vendor that I installed so now it's going to be a four-speed automatic C6 so hopefully it'll ride good I got four and a half inches out of it I put c20 front coil springs which were 84 wire diameter the stock spongy springs were only 69 inch thickness. So the front combined with the c20 coil spring that I cut a coil and a half off I got four and a half inches out of it and in the rear I did a flip like you did but it gave me 6 in.
Great video. I have a 93 flareside I have all the parts to do the 3-4 drop. After looking at yours I may go 3-5. Did you have to change any of the shocks? I'm too old to do the work myself so I am paying for the labor. Is there anything you wish you would have done different? Do you notice any difference in the ride? I like the look but am doing this to get in and out easier too.
Yes you will need shorter shocks. Not extremely crucial, but it will matter for ride quality. As for ride quality, it didn’t change much. Only when I go over big bumps do I notice a huge difference. I would also check out the bell tech setup. I hear that one is pretty good.

Great video. I can't seem to get the bolt at 11:50 out. Smacked it with a dead blow 20+ times and couldn't get it to move. Any idea what I'm missing..?
For anyone who might run into this problem in the future. I ended up getting one side off by putting a 25in breaker bar on the bolt to get it spinning, than I was able to smack it out with a dead blow. The other side I had to use a big 1/2in drive impact for a few minutes because the breaker bar wouldn't do the trick. Once it's spinning it will come out.

Not at all. Not necessary with this kit. I do believe if you want to go lower than 5” you might have to.
Looks good man. I’ve heard some bad things about djm wondered if you’ve had any issues since? Thinking about running the same kit on my 92 flareside.
I’ve had no issues since I installed, the only negative in my end was the placement of the sway bar. As for the belltech kit, it’s a 2” and 4” drop. Not as much as the DJM.
@@icsivan ahh okay i see. Yeah I like the idea of the beams retaining the springs and stock suspension geometry. Thanks for the input and making the vid, we appreciate it. Will definitely be doing this to mine soon. Thanks man, good luck with that good lookin truck!
Would it fit a 4x4
Not sure, I would check with the website. DJM Suspension
Don't get the DJM shocks they suck. I got QA1 TS516 model shocks. No more bouncing or tires rubbing on my 17x11 wheels
Where did you get your shocks/struts from ?
Shocks are from Oreillys and springs are OEM
What part number for the oreillys shocks
Any rubbing issues in the front?
None
@@icsivan nice👍
And we're you able to do an alignment
Stock shocks, but go to the auto parts store they have different heights for these trucks. I got the shortest ones they offered for this year F-150. Yes I did the alignment. Wasn’t bad at all.
What motor do you have and is it an automatic
4.9 and it’s a stick shift. Planning on swapping at 351w soon though with a manual transmission
is the front bumper full steel or ???
Yes, the bumper is made of steel.
I've had this kit on order for six months now and still nothing
Yeah, I had to wait almost a month, but they also said it was on back order.
@@icsivan did you order straight from them
@@CCAutoWorks I did.
What tire size are you running?
235/75R15 in the front and 265/70r15 in the rear.
