There are 2 types of people: Ones that like to go slow and steady, and ones that like being spontaneous and exciting.
Lifting weights is generally for the slow and steady folks, since it's easy for them to plan it out and see their progress. Calisthenics is for us spontaneous peeps since we need some element of excitement in our activities.

Amen, I lifted in a gym for 9 years before discovering the rings (I mean actually buying a pair and using em, thank you corona virus) and they changed my life. The workout is definetly more engaging and the strength building is guaranteed, it's impossible to half ass a ring workout the way you can half ass it in the gym if you're feeling "tired"! Also I love training outdoors on a nice sunny day, especially in the woods or on the beach! You can't do that shit in the stinky gyms full of ego lifters screaming their asses off during each rep lol, and also im Bulgarian, it's like my nature called me to do rings! Great video my guy!

Just got my wood rings few weeks ago from Rep Fitness, and man they're the BEST equipment that I ever bought for bodyweight training in the next level! My most favorites would be using them for push ups and especially dips. The instability when doing them is amazing as it really does force you to work much harder in balancing yourself to be still when doing proper reps. I feel way more contraction work on my chest for push ups and dips and I love how I am able to move my wrist freely to contract them hard. 10/10 anyone who's into bodyweight training or wanting to do something new to level up their calisthenics skills, gymnastic rings (mainly good quality wood material) are worth to get!

the sheer muscle control and active muscle contraction to achieve the stability necessary to move on the rings will improve your results immensely. When you use rings your whole body contracts to stabilize your movements, so not only the muscles you're actively working get benefits.

Bro first of all love the vids, started training with rings recently after seeing some vids of yours praising them, and I LOVE it too! 2nd of all what is this amazing style of chilled out sexy like music in every video of yours? do you have any sort of a playlist? or what do I type in the search bar when trying to find something of this sort? Big love.

Became a fan during lockdown, and transitioned to rings which I'm loving... One question I wondered if you could help with... I do one hour sessions of six exercises (5x10) with two minute breaks, progressing through difficulty. Push/pull days with a day off in-between. Does that sound like a good approach?

Rings are humbling AF. Ring dips are a huge jump from regular dips. Tao right though calistenics is a lot more fun than weights. Looks cooler, less people can do the skills (even strong people), you can demonstrate your strength anywhere. If you do a planche pushup you can drop to the ground and show people your strong anywhere, if you can bench 405 lbs you need a bench and weights to prove it

Yeah fuck weightlifting that's only for bodybuilders that compete or strongman, I think the normal people that do weightlifting doesn't know calisthenkcs at all! I mean how fun it can be and the great physique it can give to you

@@paquito4147 Yeah I used to lift weights, hurt my back, decided to try and build my core stronger with calistenics and decided that it was so challenging and fun and you can do it anywhere that I decided not to go back to weights.

Im super excited to start working out with rings. I noticed some straps that come with the rings have markings on them so you can keep them the same height. And Im noticing your straps dont have that. How important is it to have your rings the same height? Or is it ok if one of them is slightly off?

    • @danewirostek1903

Mine dont have markings. you can put a stick through both rings to see if they are balanced

Bro!!! I just got my rings yesterday, and I think I am in love with a piece of equipment for the first time ever. Question for you, though, do you still train with traditional weights? I still use traditional weights as a part of my training, but I would totally switch to just rings only if it were beneficial to do so. They are just not fun for me. Awesome vid!!
