    Question after transplanting mine in the ground outside the leaves started dry and fall what do i do should take it out and put it in a shaded area instead

      Oh. That will happen if the roots got damaged in the process. No need to remove it. Just keep it watered. It's a change of environment, so it will take some time to adjust. Give it time 😶❤❤

    I just found out about this fruit about a month or so ago here in Cuba, ate the fruit and kept the seeds. Do you think I'll be able to plant them in my country? Going back home in July. Won't there be a problem with them being dry?

    • @jeoff_rez73
      @jeoff_rez73  2 місяці тому

      The seeds will be too dry by then. Maybe what you could do is put the seeds in a ziplock bag with water and freeze them until ur ready to go home. Or mist the seeds now and then to keep them green until you're ready. Hopefully those methods will work. I wish you well

      Better yet, keep some of the apples in the cooler until you're ready. I think that is the better way to preserve the seeds.

    Just bought one of these seeds back home. When it grows, will I need another of its kind to make it grow fruit or will it do so on its own, provided it has good soil and lots of sun?

    • @jeoff_rez73
      @jeoff_rez73  2 місяці тому +1

      It doesn't need a companion. When it reaches like about 4 feet, you can start budding to encourage spreading. It loves sunlight and is one such plant that is drought and heat resistant. It can survive

      What you may find though, when it starts fruiting, if it's not getting rain, the fruits may be small. Otherwise you will get sizable fruits. Too much water will make them burst and not so sweet

    when you have it covered in the beginning phase, you still water it daily???? can I grow this in a pot, or do I have to trasnfer it to the yard self? how big does it get? how much space does it take? sorry for all the questions, just had my first fruit and I love it, so I will save the seed and try to re-grow it!!!!!

      Hey you have gr8 genuine questions that need answers. I will answer each question separately. So you will see several comments
      Do you water daily? No. Just when the soil is drying out. The cover also helps to generate and retain moisture

      These trees can grow very big so best to transfer to an open space. It also has the potential to spread once you cut the top off at a certain height

      You can plant the seed immediately after eating the fruit. Do not allow it to be dries out.

    Brought the seed from Jamaica grew well until the Florida crazy cold front where it stopped growing. Now it's dying brown, dried droopy leaves after transplanting noticed a clear see through worm in the soil. So disappointed.

      Omg Such a pity. If it can be removed and placed in a shaded area pls do so. I gope it does recover soon.

      It may h ave been that or maybe a lack of watering.

      Its a possibility the roots got damaged during transfer as well.
      It could also be a case where you dud not transfer the plant with the medium you planted it in.
      I'm not sure what that was but several factors could contribute to the loss.
      Pls share below your method od transferring your plant so i could possibly identify whay may have gone wrong

      @@jeoff_rez73 thanks. I put the bag it was in and placed it in the hold with the soil it came in. But it wasn't u fer a shade it was getting direct sun and I water it once a day. So I think it's the direct sun and once a day water for real. I placed a shade over it with some holes to have some light come in I will watch it to see of it revives 😓

      The extra stems slows down the growth process. Once those are removed then all energies will be channeled into thst single stem

    Hello Brother, I've been growing Apple from seed too,but planted in a container,it has been probably more than 4yrs now,the tree look healthy and is around 5 feet tall,and did some pruning in winter but hasn't flower or bear any fruit yet..I've recently repotted it and cut off several root hair...When can I expect some fruits..Btw I am from Northeast India,we had moderate and pleasant climate throughout the year..Do I need to wait a little bit longer or what could be wrong here..Any suggestion..??

    • @jeoff_rez73
      @jeoff_rez73  2 роки тому +3

      Dependent on the type of Apple.
      What about this apple they loves space for the roots to launch out for nutrients. Remember the roots are not fibrous.
      It should have startes flowering but due to the restrictions and the fact that you may have cut some roots it will take a while longer.
      I suggest you wait a while seen that you just up potted and the growth has been stunted as a resulf of cutting away some roots. This means it not strong enough to support new growth so you may not see new shoots until it is able to do so.

    • @jeoff_rez73
      @jeoff_rez73  2 роки тому +2

      If you have enough space outdoors you may want to put it in the ground directly. Only prune if necessary.
      Possibly a change of environment can so the trick.
      Tropical climate is perfect for it. ,
