You inspire me so much. I am hopeful that despite all the setbacks in my life, I will make a comeback and the second half of my life will be so much better. ❤
I believe the rarity of that doll considering her eyes being that color was a win. There are so many people with different colored eyes, and to find a doll that replicates themselves is awesome
I had a white cat with one blue eye and one yellow eye. I think animals and people with two different color eyes are beautiful. It's a shame I no longer collect dolls or I would have bought her in a heartbeat.
Being a mom of the kid with heterochromia, I got all exited about the doll. Only my boy just turned 20 😜 so I’d bought her for myself, but I’m like 4.7k miles away. I’ve been enjoying your videos, Karen, they help me stay sane in the midst of the war. Yeah… thank you!
My mom had 9 children. We lived in the country in Michigan, and she made most of our clothes, and most of our Christmas gifts. She took old glass beer bottle boxes, that the lids were deep and stiff cardboard, and turned them on ends, and made a "wardrobe closet" for all the "barbie" clothes she made, covering the outside with contact paper. She even put a rail in the lids, to use as hanging rods. She made one for each of 4 girls she had at the time, who were old enough for Barbie dolls. I really wish I had that now! She is now a grandmother of almost 30 and great grandmother, still counting (my daughter is due at the beginning of September). She made the oldest 4 granddaughters beautiful Barbie clothes, and "quilts" for their beds, that have little fancy girls, dressed and labeled for the months of the year. It's so precious, I've never had my daughter, now 35, put it on her bed! Most of my family is not sentimental, so if they have something my mom made, they always say, "Give it to Lisa, she'll take it!". And I do! My twin sister was having a garage sale, and went to sell several beautiful things my mom, knitted, needlepointer, painted, sewed, etc.. I asked if I could have it, because there will be a time when my mom isn't here, and we'll never be able to replace those beautiful items she made, with love. My husband is also sentimental, so we've become hoarder, of sorts, of things we had from childhood, and things made with love. All four of my children are minimalists, so they didn't take anything with them when they left our house to live on their own. We don't have the heart to get rid of their things, so we've become savers of their childhood too. But when grandchildren come to visit, they LOVE going to our basement, to find toys to play with. I'm hoping my two sons have children, and will want their childhood toys, many of which, are now vintage. I believe it's so important to keep items made for you, by your mother or grandmother, because that well will be gone one day, when she graduates to her heavenly home!
Beautiful crochet throw - would recommend leaving the yarn without clipping because the buyer can then weave the tails into the squares to protect the integrity of the finished work. I have used the nail polish strips and they are great - so much cheaper than the salon. Love watching you in your great videos! I appreciate all of your work and thought that you put into these videos. Be blessed, dear Karen and Roger!

Oh God just turned 60, and am just as busy if not more than when I was 30 raising kids. I had never heard or thought 60 was the end of the road. 😮 what road?
@@valerienelson3296 Happy to know you are a busy lady. Remember, Karen has an audience that reaches many frontiers, people from many countries where not everyone thinks alike. You know when they make a mistake on a coin or a stamp, it becomes more valuable!! This beautiful doll might be a true valuable treasure!! It’s definitely a great find!
The doll makes me remember how I used to wear one green colored contact and one clear contact when I was in junior high. I wanted one blue eye and one green eye. 😄🤦♀️
The person who made the blanket was going to line the back. Your suppose to leave the yarn long enough to sew in the ends. I would put it local and explain that it will need a lining for the back or leave it off and people will understand what to do.
When you first showed the doll, I thought her face looked familiar. Then the more I looked at her, I became sure that I had once owned a doll with the same face. She was so pretty to me and had that gorgeous red/burnished copper hair. That was the reason I had purchased her. I have only one grandchild, and she has the same exact color of hair. My doll had both eyes the same color, almost a blue-green. She came with a teddy bear as well. I really did love that doll, and so did my beautiful granddaughter, who is now 25 years old. I had planned on giving it to her as she is a new bride and decorating their first apartment together. However, a few months ago, we were robbed, and the doll was stolen along with my washer, dryer, refrigerator, our bed, and many things from my granddaughter's childhood. But I love your channel and watch it all the time. I just wanted to let you know that I think there were more of the dolls made, and some with various changes, my doll had a yellow dress with smocking on the yoke. I do think the change in eye color will make her more valuable, and I also think she is worth quite a lot of money. She was the most expensive doll I had ever purchased.
Pauline Bjonness Jacobsen designed and sculpted dolls and sold them on QVC here in the UK as well as on her own website. She passed away in 2006. I have a few of her dolls, they are the nicest dolls I’ve ever seen.
I grew up Old Order Amish In Canada and going to school my one teacher had a brown eye and a light blue one as soon as I saw the dolls eyes my brain was trying to think what it is called when someone had two different colored eyes, I was drawing a complete blank, I hope and pray that a mother of a child with 2 different colored shades to the eyes or colored eyes finds this doll that would be so awesome for that child indeed. That teacher was the best teacher I ever had, years later many of her students still are impacted by her and her heart and kindness. I hope the right child gets this GORGEOUS doll it is so well made.
I LOVE Color Street. I started using them during lockdown. I feel they are more natural than gel manicures. Also, it's gotten to the point where I really don't like the manicure salons any more. I can do my nails while watching Lavender Clothesline. :)

I am a knitter and crocheter with decades of experience and I learned never to knot the yarn of a finished piece. I was taught to weave the loose ends into the back. The loose ends of your afghan may just need to be trimmed but not cut off completely. This is my experience, others might have a different finishing technique. I hope that was helpful.
My son is 31 and he played with GI Joe's too. I saved them all. I recently cleaned out my attic and gave him his stuff. He has the GI Joe helicopter and Jeep. He is saving the stuff for his boys who are 5 and 3. My son is my baby too.
I have to say Karen, your videos are so relaxing for me and I really enjoy your sense of humor. You’re really funny in a very dignified way. Plus, as a new seller I learn so much from you. Thank you!
Enjoy your videos! The afghan was absolutely gorgeous! As someone who crochets, I wanted to chime in to say that the extra strings of yarn should have been worked back into the afghan and not left like they were. It’s going to take a lot of work to correct the mistake.
Honestly, I have never seen so many loose yarn ends on the back of a finished afghan! It's almost like the maker was trying to use up all of her yarn scraps and remnants... I can't quite imagine why else there would be SO MANY loose ends! 😮
This video is fantastic! You covered something of everything that we are interested in.. i.e. picking, showing items, shipping and updates to your addition. Very, very well done, Karen.
I'm a crocheter, Karen. Don't clip those threads on the back. You'll be sorry. Even if knotted they can unravel and the whole thing is ruined. Whoever made this spent countless hours but they were not detailed in their work or they wouldn't have left those loose yarn threads on the back. The proper thing to do is weave those into the piece with a yarn needle. They took the lazy man's way out.
I to a crocheter have woven so many yarn strings into the body of the item. But, I can definitely understand her not doing it or him because it is such a large blankets that they probably just said I can't do anymore and that's it!
I am a crocheter and that blanket is beautiful! I think the person who made this is either in a nursing home and unable to crochet anymore or they passed away. She probably had a chest or closed full of crocheted items!! I personally weave in my ends as I go. I don’t want to have to weave my ends in when I finish! Ugh! Also, I do knit my ends. I leave a long end to weave in. I’m so afraid of them working their way out over time. 💝
The doll is a winner! One of my teacher co-workers has different colored eyes - and after working with him for 30 yrs., noone ever gives it a thought. That is a beautiful doll.
Hi Karen!!! I have 2 different colored eyes. I have a pretty green eye and a green and brown eye! The green is at the top and the brown is at the bottom! I was seen at a teaching ophthalmology department at a university years ago and was told that the brown is actually a freckle!! And I have freckles on the backside of that eye as well!! The doctor got so excited! LOL. He called in other ophthalmologists and students to look at my eye. He said it was rare and asked if he could take pictures to use in teaching!! I said sure and wound up being there for several hours so everyone could look at my eye and he could photograph it from every angle. What a fun day. I’ll never forget it! 😊😊😊
I believe this was a factory error with the eyes. These can be replaced and there is even a YT video on how to do it! I would just keep her the way she came and really play up on this flaw, sounds like a good auction item to me!
Love your videos, I could watch you every day. I've been watching from the beginning. So much that my husband knows your voice and your name, he'll say, "Are you watching Karen?". Congratulations on your wedding, you really did "go out and get what yours". How could your videos get any better? Do we love us some Roger? Yes, we do! He is just too cute and seeing the two of you together is priceless. Wishing you all good things, your loyal follower, Tina
So my aunt gave me a basket with that pendant in the center. It was a pine needle basket made by the seminole native Americans. And she bought it 40 years ago in Seminole Florida at the local historic site that was hosting a arts and crafts show. I think that is a Seminole basket and the GOAT of all time.
Karen, I love your channel. U picked up woderful finds. Can't wait to hear how the doll and wishing well does. Someone put some hard work into that well. If that doll came from the factory as it is, it might be very rare and quite valuable to collectors.
How will you be able to establish the doll's value, Karen? Do you ever put things on auction on eBay? I think determining what she is worth and how much you would take for her will be your next big hurdle! Can't wait to see her listed! 😊
Pauline Dolls does the 2 different color option on purpose. It a condition called "Heterochromia". Use that word in your listing. I attached the site I found about this in 2 previous posts and the posts disappeared!! My husband and I love you and Roger!!
Check the nape of the neck on the doll for Pauline's signature and doll # for authenticity. Pauline's doll's bring in big $. On another note, my mother was born with herterochromia. She has one green eye and one brown eye. She's so beautiful.
My mom and dad made lots of the safety pin Christmas trees after they retired. I think every family in our church plus all of our family members either bought one or were given one. They were beautiful! I still treasure to this day and bring it out at Christmas to remind me of my mom and dad who are both gone now.
You are beautiful and so are your hands! You have a very calm demeanor and I enjoy watching your videos. I'm a reseller as well and am learning a few things here and there from you.Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into your videos and I look forward to many more.
As usual your videos are fantastic but today was exceptional with everything that you showed us not only what you had purchased but what you were shipping out. Also, I absolutely love that Goodwill that you went to that had the 36 racks of hard goods. Once I get my items finally listed and sold I am thinking of making a trip by amtrack up to your neck of the woods and seeing what I can find as you have great pickings up there. BTW I love seeing the two of you working so well together and I hope you are still excited about being married and having someone to share your life with until you grow very old and are rocking on the front porch. Also, today is my 60th birthday and I never thought that I would ever be this old and on top of that you have given me and so many others the much needed inspiration to get my s*** together and try to make a go of it at my age. Thank you for everything that you do. BTW, since I have been watching you for so long I have watched every video that you have ever put out and I am starting to watch them all over again. Great job
Love the basket. As a basket maker, I was taught to spray or submerge my baskets to revitalize moisture. Love the jar for your laundry room. I used to have a small collection of safety pin artwork. You have been selecting nice pieces. 😊👍
No longer playing with dolls, but that doll is impressive. Her clothing is exquisite. Her eyes...who cares! Quality! My mom was an impressive doll maker also. Is that a PA thing?
❤ Being a mom of the kid with Heterochromia, I got all excited about the doll. Only my son just turned 20 😜 so I’d have bought it for myself. Unfortunately, I’m some 4.7k miles away. I’ve been enjoying your videos, Karen, they help me stay sane in the midst of the war, yeah… Thank you!
Fascinating story of your Mom. Didn't hear you mention she was a dollmaker! It's where you get your wonderful attention for details! Thanks for sharing. 😊 Sweet memory!
As a seasoned crocheter, I weave my end in. This crocheter did not. They may have intended to. Either way, do not cut them. They do not show so not use risking unraveling. Lovely find. Lucky you $20! Wow! I just finished a granny square cardigan and it took me over 75 hours. 😊 Love your channel. :-)
You got a great deal on the ColorStreet. I used to sell it and I love them. If your nails are shorter, you can get 2 manicures and a pedicure out of each pack . When you have leftovers, seal the packet with a flat iron to avoid allowing them to dry out. The glitters last the longest. Be sure not to put lotion on right before and up to 2 hrs after applying. Also they need to cure for up to 2 hrs so don’t wash dishes or take a shower. The best time is right before bed because they won’t get messed up during the night. Unlike regular nail polish. If there are any overlays… they are awesome and they also have a clear coat that will keep the manicure fresh longer. Enjoy!
Back in the 60”s I joined Junior Achievement while in high school. One of our projects was making a basket with beads and safety pins. This brought back memories for me 💜👍
Love Color Street! All polish will wear off but Color Street doesn’t “chip off” so it looks great longer. If you want it to last even longer, double layer the strips!
The doll is beautiful. You know my daddy, who passed when I was 12 and he was only 32, Had silverish grey eyes that changed to blue and back, Gorgeous.
I enjoy the variety of the videos, a little bit of everything. The items you buy are always interesting and great quality. Greetings from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦.
I don't think the doll's eyes were a mistake at the factory. It's too perfect & very high quality. I think someone custom ordered it to reflect her own eyes. It'll bring a lot of money but will take awhile for the right person to find it.
My GOODWILL (very smalltown ) got bought by a big city goodwill and WOW soooooo much inventory had started to pile in.. Now they shut down ,and can't wait til the GRAND RE OPENING ..
Your mother sounds like she is very talented and excellent at what she did with dolls and their clothes. She must had been very crafty and made beautiful dolls. Thanks for sharing that with us, I find that to be amazing.

Hi Karen! I am your BIGGEST fan in Hilliard, Ohio! I wanted to tell you that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Color Street Nail polish strips-they have finger AND toe nail strips, in every color/print imaginable! Great find for sure! I love using 2 different strips in the same color family for a uniquely me mani/pedi! Awesome find!
It's been awhile since I've watched your videos. I want education in reselling more than personal stuff. Now that you and Roger are settling, maybe I'll watch again. Thanks.
I can definitely see Karen with a 5 carat rock on her finger, moving her hand ever so slightly in the light so that the ring sparkles. 🤣😂 But reselling seems to be the perfect fit for her! Also, your son is very handsome!
Wow that afghan personally I would say it's un finished myself I'd sew a nice Pima white cotton flat sheet to the back and then do a simple tie off pattern to join the 2 together
My daughter was a consultant for the color street nail strips. They are very popular and quite expensive. She still sells them occasionally. She did well enough selling them and recruiting consultants that she earned an all paid cruise to Cozumel. She actually fell immediately after delivering some strips to a patron and broke both her ankles and her leg the week before Christmas 2021. It was a long hard 7 months before she could walk, several surgeries. She is doing well now, but of course, has some lasting affects from all the trauma of the fall and surgeries. They are very durable and you can actually get more than one application from a single strip. That was a good pick up, I would say.
@@fourrosethrifters No, she is doing much better, but it was a very long and depressing time for her. She still has to be very careful of the surface conditions that she walks on. She sure doesn’t want to have another break. For the most part, she is almost back to her former self. Thank you for your kind words.
I don't know how old your daughter is but I broke three bones in my left ankle December 31st 21 and to this day I am still in pain. I also have severe osteoporosis and have broken my left elbow my right wrist several vertebra and ribs. As I am by myself right now I am extremely careful about falling because my balance is not so great on top of everything else. It might be because of my age which today I just turned 68 years old, but I hope that she is not still in pain any longer and I'm sure that is hurt terribly bad especially when it happened and then after the surgery when she had to do rehab for I'm sure months and months. Just know that I am thinking about her and praying for a full recovery and no more pain.
@@peppiholliday4525 thank you for your kind words. She still has some discomfort, and most likely always will, but she is so happy to be able to walk again. She works full time, she is an RN, so she is very busy..we have Orthopaedics surgeons in our town, but they sent her immediately to the trauma center about 45 minutes away, they wouldn’t touch it where we live. It was that bad. She’s just so happy to be able to get out, work, and walk again, even if it’s at a slower pace.
You inspire me so much. I am hopeful that despite all the setbacks in my life, I will make a comeback and the second half of my life will be so much better. ❤

Enjoying the video mix of shopping, haul, home and shipping. Great job Karen! ❤
I think I used the fancy soap. What a gem!
The lamp shade is my favorite. It is exquisite!
My mother had a blue eye and gray eye…exactly like your doll. Just beautiful!
I really enjoyed watching you videos but I truly love watching you and roger together. Who doesn’t love a real love story🥰
Great job
The afghan is a grandmothers flower garden pattern. So pretty.
Your description of the doll's clothing is commendable!!!
😂 I do get excited for quality
I would have bought that doll in a second, for exactly the same reason!
You are beautiful in pink! It really compliments you! Great video, as always!😊
that afghan was intended to have a fabric backing. if you cut the yarn close to the knots some of them WILL untie.
Agreed! All the time I have been thinking of that fabulous floral 'Afghan' ~ I keep seeing in my mind's eye ~ a fabric backing! 💕
I think the doll could be mentioned as a rarity. It should fetch a premium and appeal to collectors.
I agree that the two different colored eyes makes it more valuable and sought after. It’s a Stunner !
Great video, I love how you put so much variety in one (shopping, hauling, tour of house, and pulling)...just awesome! Thanks Karen 😊❤
PS I so hope you find the perfect person to purchase the doll! She has the ability to change a little girls life! Fantastic!!
That quilt is everything!!
Hi both wooooo what a lot of room ,I wished I could go around their ,but wait I’m with you aren’t I ha lv Ann uk ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Enjoy!
My mother in law made dolls I have 3 of them. They are just beautiful.
Great find karen.
WOW- that KIMONO is GORGEOUS!!!!!!🤩🥰
Back in the 60”s I joined Junior Achievement while in high school. One of our projects was making a basket with beads and safety pins. This brought back memories for me 💜👍
Love Color Street! All polish will wear off but Color Street doesn’t “chip off” so it looks great longer. If you want it to last even longer, double layer the strips!
The doll is beautiful. You know my daddy, who passed when I was 12 and he was only 32,
Had silverish grey eyes that changed to blue and back, Gorgeous.
I think your right it was purposeful that she has two different colors.
I think the resin in the eyes has just changed colors. It does change over the years
Don't worry about the dolls eyes. David Bowie had that two color going on...😅
I would definitely purchase a doll with two different color eyes. I think it looks cool!
A booth?!!! Please do it!!! Im due for a new place to shop. Ty for another awesome vid 💕🌸
Yes to the idea of a Karen/Roger booth! How fun would that be!
The doll is Samantha and she's numbered on her neck. The one I found did not have two different colored eyes. Her insert says that she has blue eyes.
I adore your videos Karen...you have such a positive and inspiring attitude and this video with a bit of everything is a great format I think. Thankyou for sharing your life and knowledge.
Love from a fellow thrift store enthusiast in Tasmania, Australia
My daughter has two different color eyes! :) One Hazel and one green. love it!!
I would have grabbed those Dr. Seuss cards, too!! ❤
I love baskets to store and everything baskets are so nice
A booth? Yes!!!! I remember years ago when you were tossing the idea around too
I did get ready to open that one and the owner raised the price dramatically so I didn’t take it
@@lavenderclothesline That's a shame! I suspect its' because the owner knew you are Lavenderclothesline on UA-cam. I'm sure you will find some place else. Love your videos as always!
The doll is exquisite. The eyes are a bonus!
First of all, I love the clothes you wear. You always look great! That baby pink color on you is the bomb!! That is your color!! Love all of your videos and watch them over and over. Love you and Roger, ya'll were made for each other! Thank you for sharing with us! Keep them coming!!❤❤❤
That’s so sweet of you Rhonda! Thank you 💜
Looking so beautiful in that pretty pink.
That afghan is oh my god!
I hope that blanket ends up in an art museum 😍
Wish we had such large thrift stores!
@@LannieLordalthough I have always heard that size does matter. LOL
Nothing like waking up to Lavender Clothesline and Roger. I'm having my coffee with you. Good morning.
Good morning Karen!
Do you have a doll your Mom made ?
Would love ❤ to see one.
wow, your son looks like my son, you're doing a good job, that all is adorable, doesn't matter two different colour eyes ,all the best on your business,
p
If crochet they usually weave in those ends and then cut off any excess. If you cut them off and they're not woven in it could come unraveled.
Thanks so much! 💜💜
Oh my word, the dress looks like a pansy print. I made my granddaughter a dress from that same fabric many years ago.
I enjoyed this video.
It's been awhile since I've watched your videos. I want education in reselling more than personal stuff.
Now that you and Roger are settling, maybe I'll watch again. Thanks.
Karen, if you ever get tired of reselling consider working for QVC...you know how to sell!
That doll was sold on QVC. The Lancaster QVC outlet before the renovation had a doll department. I was obsessed back in the 90s.
❤ love the pink blouse you are wearing in the video ❤
I’m sorry your daughter was so injured, I hope she is not suffering all this time later!
I hope she feels better every day! 💜
I just wanted to say that you in that pink blouse and the pink airings you look stunning🥰🦋
