Great work but any car other than a super charged shouldn't whine or make obsessive sounds if you can't hear your exhaust at all the car has an issue somewhere FYI
Was a Chevy guy when I was young , 25yrs later not a Chevy guy. My driveway is full of those vehicles I swore I'd never TOY ,,,,,,I mean buy.
A longer bearing shaft, long enough for a cir-clip to keep the gear in place? I wonder if that would eliminate the issue?
I have been building the 10R80 for 8 yrs now. Same as the 10L80E. Pump gear noise is very common.
The most common problem with the 10 speed is they exist.
Big trucks don't whine. 😂
lol
Yep and you know people are not going to care only when it brakes down then they will start to whine. They won't listen.
Brakes???
@@davidbryant3532 yep I fouled up. When it breaks down first go get Breakfast and then put the brakes on your wallet ectomy!
Chevy used to make the best trucks sad to see where they have fallen to
Thanks for the info.
I'm telling all my customers to try to buy pre 2015 and hold on to it.
Why can't they use allison or aisin transmissions? Literally, they care about profit over quality.
Ford will say the noise is normal for there version and do 15 software updates before fixing it
I have a 2014 gmc 5.3 6l80e torque converter fail at 180k had to get the transmission rebuilt all the way but the only thing so far work truck its been hauling skidsters since i buy it oem original lifters just take care of the oil life
Good show good advice
Center punch the gear around the lip were bearing sit so the bearing don't walk or free spin
Green locktite
Doesn’t it somehow bother you that in 1969 Americans put a man on the moon and 50 years later the top engineers in the country can’t make three gears run together with any amount of reliability.
Another award-winning design
My junkyard 5speed manual still holdin up perdy good
👍 You’ve sounded the Alarm.
On April Fool's Day 2022, I bought a first-gen Scion xB with 250K on the clock, and a 5spd. With 299K, the new clutch kit and seals waiting for some slippage, I feel pretty good that my $2500 did not go to waste. Sometimes, I think I might get something nicer/newer, but I need somebody else to take on the headaches.
Jeez, and I just put a deposit on a Duramax 1500 with their 10 speed transmission 😮
I love my 6 speed in my L8T gasser. And it’s not bad at 17mpg but I’m old and drive like miss Marge
Come on GM! They definitely did this on purpose.
Yup been seeing this at the dealership too
😢😢😢😢😢😢my new chevy
LOL!! Love the “Stop Driving it”.
How many miles on transmission when you start to notice problems
