- Just north of Anvil is a small farm called Whitmond Farm. Go there and speak with Maeva the Buxom. She will ask you to retrieve a family heirloom, a magical mace named Rockshatter, which her husband, Bjalfi the Contemptible, smuggled out of their house before leaving her. He was last seen heading for the ruins of Fort Strand to join the marauder gang there.

weird quest. just went clearing marauders for their leveled armor and got this mace after the usual murder spree. and then there was this dwemer shaped weapon still on the body that had a name. huh. maevas farm is at least an address to make endurance potions.
nothing against the undead cave near alawens camp (the marksman master trainer) though. what an exploration that was.

The mace is a great zero-weight enchanted item for early game

You can also not kill her and keep the weightless Rockshatter for free. It cannot be taken off you as a quest item so you will always be armed with an excellent weapon regardless of quest

Either I don't remember this quest or it's one of those very rare things that I didn't know existed!
(Also a question: would you consider doing a glitch video? Scroll duping, sonic horses, Skull of Corruption duplication, etc. The jank is what makes this game so memorable, being able to achieve almost anything on the 360 really made it stand out)

Are you able to retrieve the mace without killing Bjalfi? Does it affect the dialogue when reporting back to Maeva?
You can with Disintegrate, I believe & no. She doesn't recognise him as alive

Apparently a remaster is in the making, or is at least planned to release according to FTC documents released when Bethesda was sold to Microsoft. It's not a remake, but it'll look better.
I'd rather not wait around for 50 years while Bethesda makes a bug riddled mess.
