Imagine being a Bandit in Oblivion, worrying about the next time the Bandit Leader places you in a dungeon that keeps being cleared out. The day arrives for you to be stationed there. If someone enters or exits, you know it's none of you. But you hear it. The door opening. The sound of 400 pounds of armor stomping through the doorway. Ridding all of Tamriel of bandits. Why? Just to sell the armor he rips from your dead corpse. For a meme.
I remember wanting to be rich in Oblivion, so I bought the house in Skingrad and got the maid who would give you a free pie every time you spoke with her. I got my alchemy up to full so that I could create potions using one ingredient. I solicited hundreds of pies from this poor lady, made hundreds of potions and named them all viagra, and sold them to the local vendor for bank. The potions were too heavy of course but if you drop them all at once they drop as a single item which you could then hold telepathically in the same way you can move bodies around. I did this up until the door, picked them back up, became over-encumbered, went through the door, and dropped them again. I became the most successful viagra salesman known in the Elder Scrolls and retired soon after.
@@bmak3979 It was a while ago, but I'd imagine it would take about 4 or so hours to get the full million. Choosing the same dialogue options to receive the pie and sell your potions like 3 or 4 at a time for max profit takes ages. This is assuming you already have max alchemy and the house and maid.
Isn't the Skingrad house the one players should try to get first? Because the Orc guy you buy it from straight up walks off a bridge and dies during one of his NPC routines?
Adoring Fan just quietly watching the Hero kill everyone and act innocent in the "whodunnit" quest.. That's a true bro staying true to the mission at hand 🤣🤣

There's actually a better merchant to sell to who is available very early on if you have the Fighter's Stronghold addon (Battlehorn Castle). They're a Dark Elf that can be found in the Merchants Inn, which can be found in the Imperial City's Market District. The dude has 2,000 Gold and very quickly gains disposition with the player (meaning you don't actually need spells or a high Speechcraft / Personality to get the most out of them, I've had times where he was at max disposition, despite having not met him before on the character).
Quick tip, rather than enchanting feather on your armour, fortify strength instead. You get the same carry weight benefit plus your attacks also hit harder :)
Feather is slightly better carry weight over strength but strength does more damage with melee weapons so if you use melee weapons strength is a better enchantment.
@@drpureinsanity actually 🤓 the black soul gem ench feather 49 pts while black soul gem ench str 10 points and 1 str = 5 carry weight so str is better by 1 point
_aCtUaLlY_ you're incorrect. A grand soul will have feather 50 or fortify strength 10, so they're the same. And before you try to say "but melee damage" well your weapon damage is capped at 100, so going over 100 strength is pointless. Secondly feather increases run speed by decreasing the weight of worn items.

Restoration actually takes a really long time to level up compared to the other magic schools. Destruction is slow too, but Restoration is much slower than Alteration, Illusion, and Conjuration
He should have gone with acrobatics and just mashed jump under a low ceiling. That or use desintigrate armor on himself and then repair his own armor. That would train both destruction and armorer very quickly. You can also take sneak and do the trick were you pay the highway man and then mash the pickpocket button. You can also buy the prison cell for the vile lair and endlessly wail on the immortal prisoner to level blade/blunt/hand to hand.

Oblivion is still making a half assed attempt to be an RPG with a bit of actual depth, attempting to give the illusion of a better Morrowind, when in reality it's a watered down, more accessable version. Skyrim, on the other hand, isn't even trying...it's unashamedly an action title, with some RPG sprinkles on top. Sprinkles that mostly boil down to "you can kill enemies during dungeon runs in multiple different ways!!!" It's kinda sad really, when you stop to consider the larger context and fundamental implications.
@Count Vronsky I could give some leeway for Oblivion, considering the game is made with console in mind, you know, limited capabilites and all. Skyrim is meh, and Fallout 4, which made for the next gen console, just shows that Bethesda cares less about RPG elements.
I remember earning over a million gold in Oblivion back when it released in much the same way. Only I didnt use the potions. I just killed an unknowable number of bandits and sold their loot an equally unknowable number of times. It was a grind only a much younger me would have had the time and patience to undertake.
6:49 That music coming on sent me back like 15 years in the past. Idk why that credits song has been stuck in my head after all these years, but it hit me like a ton of bricks.
It's silly, but yet again.. finding it pretty neat to see your own name scrolling by when you was NOT expecting it. Oblivion is a fun game and was loads of fun watching someone play it. Hard to believe its been over 16 years now.

I was a lot, I mean a LOT lot older and couldn't play it on my old computer until 7 years ago when I could afford this middling laptop. Have played it for thousands of hours since. Best damn game ever.
14:32 no, its not peak efficiency. if we talk about vanilla game, Fathis Ules from the thieves guild has the most money - 1500 (2500), 300 more than any other merchant. if we talk about goty edition, merchants from dlc houses (vile lair, fighters stronghold, wizards tower) have even more - fantastic 2000 (3000) and a very low mercantile skill, which is very helpful at the start.
I loved your video featuring my favorite game ever. Thanks! Have thousands of hours in it but never thought to charm the merchants, lol. I spent many of those hours playing the speechcraft game with them instead. And using the Inn of Ill Omen guy to sell most stuff to since, other than my buddy the cat merchant in the Dark Brotherhood, the innkeeper gave me the best prices (without charming of course) and was the only merchant other than Thieves Guild fences that would buy all my stolen goods as well and for better prices. Also centrally located with fast travel bringing you right to his door. Anyway I loved the video and got a tip with the charm spell which I've never really used much before. Old dog, new tricks. I just spammed potions and took all the alchemy equipment from all the Mages Guild and sold it back to them as wel. My goal was to have enough money each level to pay for the 5 training sessions to help get Endurance and Strength up quickly then buy the Waterfront shack with the extra. But I never was using becoming a millionaire as a fun goal in the game. It just usually happened between maybe levels 15 to 20 when all the super expensive and enchanted armor started falling off people you kill in the game. I have found that enchanting armor with Strength instead of Feather lets you carry just as much more too but also makes your sword and other weapons blows more deadly as well. DB's Cruelty Heart and side quest for the Boots there add even more Strength as well as using enchanted rings you make.
I think I accidentally became a millionaire in this game with a friend from a glitch where someone who you can pickpocket or loot who had constantly regenerated gold.

Morrowind is super easy for this. Put Alchemy in major skills, go to Caldera, sell your starting gear to Creeper. Go across the street and buy the Ring of Aversion. Then go to Balmora, steal the Master alchemy set from Nalcarya, then go to Ajira in the Mages Guild and buy Scales and Kwama Cuttle until you're broke. Turn it all into potions, sell the potions to Creeper, rinse and repeat.
Ajira's stock is random usually but yeah I totally agre. You but 2 ingredients from her and sell those back to her and she now has double the supply after you start the next convo with her by not even moving. Keep doubling her supply into the hundreds or thousands quickly and make thousands of potions and use teleporter to take to Creeper as much as you can carry per load. And if your goal isn't just loot you can use the loot to train up endlessly until your are Superman cause there is no limit on training sessions per level like in Oblivion.
The economy is still recovering in fallout 3 so a thousand caps is actually a lot of money. a 1000 caps in fallout 3 is worth about 10k caps in fallout nv.
I love that adoring fan in oblivion is every1s favorite jester in skyrim. Also oblivion game and dlc are awesome and horse armor was hilarious. Also cursed mine just west of skingrad is best bandit cave. 12 to 15 .

Shivering Isles is the best DLC ever made for a game. Oblivion is the only game I've ever seen as a full complete game without DLC, since DLC has become "a thing" at least.
14:00 Several Merchants added in the official plug ins (Included if buying the game now) have a base gold amount of 2,000; so with high mercantile skill can get up to 3,000.
While the guards are dragging him off for murdering the fan. "You don't understand, he had 2 gold, and I only needed one more to become a millionaire."
Bethesda games need to bring that wild camera wrap around back in future games.. Man I've had so many jump scares of random people.. It's the best when you're on a rampage and a guard comes out of nowhere and the screen just teleports to him 🤣🤣
small tip to speed up the casting grind, add a touch spell of the same school to the self cast spell, the touch spells cast animation much faster than the self cast spell and it will still grant the xp of the self cast. also don't use the feather enchantment on armor, the fortify strength enchantment give the same benefits as well as melee bonuses.
I know in Morrowind that alchemy was supposed to be one of the best ways to make profits but I think you were on to something with charm and fortify skill via leveling and questing.
Morrowind is totally broken because of the (1) ingredient glitch and (2) unlimited training allowed at one level. Find two ingredients to combine at the same merchant and buy them, re-sell them to the merchant. Leave convo then start convo again and merch now has double those ingredients in stock. Rinse and repeat endlessly. Pretty soon they are carrying hundreds it not thousands of these two ingredients since every time it doubles. 5 to 10, 10 to 20, 20 to 40, 40 to 80 etc etc. Sp make tons of potions. Carry as many as you can to maybe the scamp in Caldera or anywhere even and leave the rest on the floor. Return, grab another batch, and repeat etc. You are a millionaire very easy and can skill up every single skill to 100 if you want without ever doing a single quest in the game.
Rockmilk Cave is my go-to for loot, it has bandits and marauders fighting each other so you can get light and heavy armor, plus if you finish the Mazoga the Orc quest you get extra money for black bows the bandits drop
I've played this game for years and know how to make this process way faster. Using the merchant that the Battlehorn castle DLC gets you, invest in the shop. You get to sell things for 3k a pop, and go to the fort that comes with the Mehrunes Razor DLC. There, you find tons of guys with Daedric and Ebony gear, and they respawn really fast. That is the best way to make money.
The best merchant is Nilphas Omellian who is inside the merchants in the imperial city merchants quarter as long as you have fighters stronghold installed. He has the exact same merchantile skill as Varel Morvayn but he has 2000 base gold. Daedric and glass gear starts spawning at lv 20. Lv 23 is when you can make the highest tier amber and madness weapons. LV 25 is when all leveled rewards in the base game cap. Lv 30 is when a few dlc weapons like dawnfang cap. Daedirc armor is actually bad to sell because it actually has a bad weight to gold ratio. A deadric cuirass weights 60 and can be sold at max for 3k so it's gold to weight ratio is 50:1. A glass cuirass weights 15 and is worth1800 which is a gold to weight ratio of 120: 1. The glass shield wights 6 and is worth 1000 gold for an impressive 166.66:1 ratio.
The Mass Effect music at the end made me remember how quickly you could become a millionaire in ME1 because you can pick up SO much loot and the economy is so broken in that game
Fort wooden hand for heavy and the abandoned mine for light armors, they are both simple and small and have a boss enemy of either type in both. I have spent more time in fort wooden hand in my years of playing oblivion than in some of the cities im sure
Dude, yes! Those locations are great for farming gold. And, if I'm not mistaken, Walker Camp respawns as well; pretty good gold to be made there for simply killing 2 Camonna Tong thugs and looting their stuff. Pretty sure one of the chests there also always contains some enchanted loot.
Two words: Rockmilk Cave Two more words: Marauder Dungeons Two MORE words: Oblivion Gates Hit those over and over, especially after Ebony and Daedric gear starts spawning. You'll get to a million in no time.
About as long as it takes to join the Mage's Guild, gain access to the main guildhall in the Imperial City, and exploit the absurd money-printer known as the enchanting font.
Oblivion is like Mr. Bone's wild ride, the overall 'goodness' really depends where you go. The bone zone w minotuars at lvl 3? Or a hidden stach of goodies at lvl 3?
Marauders and Vampires are the dungeon types with the best cash cow quality. There's a small vampire cave not far outside of Skingraad that has 2 boss level enemies. My go to money making dungeon.
alchemy is the best and fastest way to get mass money in oblivion, the most expensive house in the game has a servant that can give a single food item every time a dialogue choice is made that can be made into a cure disease potion (at alchemy 100 it only takes a single ingredient) that sells for a decent chunk.
The fastest still somewhat legit way to get to a million in Oblivion is probably summoning Liches, using a katana that does like 120 disintegrate weapon damage (and can be bought in one of the Market District shops) on them, so they drop their staff (almost all of which are worth in excess of 1200 gold), then rinse and repeat and sell. I was able to get about 50k in a matter of minutes and I'm sure you could get to a million in like 2 hours tops. (that is after you reach the necessary requirements, i.e. can cast Summon Lich spell (master level), have the aforementioned katana and I guess enough Welkynd stones so that you can repeat it quickly (the spell is mana expensive).
peepoTalkButFaster Good people, we have a winner! All hail the combatant from the Blue Team! Victor from the Blue Team, leave the Arena now and rest. You’ve earned it!
Restoration is the slowest skill to raise aside from athletics. I would have taken armorer as you can just create a desintigrate armor on self spell. Acrobatics is also super quick as you can just stand under a low ceiling and mash jump.
Ironically the corner of the door n the outside porch of his favorite armorer in Anvil is one of the best places if not the best to spam up Acrobatics. Set on auto run and mash your Jump button as fast as you can. I usually cast some 1 second spells while doing it too meaning I'm skilling up 3 skills at once. Granted spamming spells is quicker with shield raised which you can't do in this method but hey still why not add to your spell level some.
I did a run where I grinded my magic to get to level 25 with perfect stat upgrades and did all the sleep required quests to ensure I'd stay at level 25 Once I started playing I realized that armor was so valuable compared to everything else that there wasnt any point in collecting anything else to sell.

YEEEEESSSS OBLIVIONNNN seriously so happy i found you love these chaotic videos
I love that adoring fan in oblivion is every1s favorite jester in skyrim. Also oblivion game and dlc are awesome and horse armor was hilarious. Also cursed mine just west of skingrad is best bandit cave. 12 to 15 .
nice vid, that 'star' ref you put in here takes gonads, I'll give you that. Me myself can't just hear the start and not vibe out on the entire track, so I had to go give it another listen. Good thing I opened another tab for it so I could still see what I was doing after closing it :p Again, nice video!
9:13 all the death and the adoring fan is just happy to be there lol. Oblivion just has that charm that Skyrim cant replicate.
Shivering Isles is the best DLC ever made for a game. Oblivion is the only game I've ever seen as a full complete game without DLC, since DLC has become "a thing" at least.
14:00 Several Merchants added in the official plug ins (Included if buying the game now) have a base gold amount of 2,000; so with high mercantile skill can get up to 3,000.
came a long way from those outer world speedruns, that's when I first saw your content. lol
love the vids
Thanks Robert
The Mass Effect music at the end made me remember how quickly you could become a millionaire in ME1 because you can pick up SO much loot and the economy is so broken in that game
gotta love the Mass Effect Sad music playing in the background at the end.
New video and my day is already better
Fort wooden hand for heavy and the abandoned mine for light armors, they are both simple and small and have a boss enemy of either type in both. I have spent more time in fort wooden hand in my years of playing oblivion than in some of the cities im sure
Dude, yes! Those locations are great for farming gold.
And, if I'm not mistaken, Walker Camp respawns as well; pretty good gold to be made there for simply killing 2 Camonna Tong thugs and looting their stuff. Pretty sure one of the chests there also always contains some enchanted loot.
Mmm..when I heard Star start to play.. I dunno. Something just lit up inside of my heart.
Two words: Rockmilk Cave
Two more words: Marauder Dungeons
Two MORE words: Oblivion Gates
Hit those over and over, especially after Ebony and Daedric gear starts spawning. You'll get to a million in no time.
I think Jabo forgot that you can get the skeleton key super early which eliminates the need to ever buy lockpicks or learn how to play the minigame.
I really appreciate you used Young Scroll's "Star" when Adoring Fan approached you. I would have done that exact same thing.
10/10 thumbnail 10/10 video
We stan we stan the adoring fan, for there is no one who loves you more than this man
Don't you know this one simple trick?
*points at Dorian's coinpurse*
DORIAN! MY MAN! Hows it goin?
Dorian: Not this guy again.
I love these series, can you do Fallout 3 next? UwU
The vampire quest, has a final reward of 5k that you can redeem endlessly
Actually 10000 at level 30. 5000 is for levels 20 to 24.
About as long as it takes to join the Mage's Guild, gain access to the main guildhall in the Imperial City, and exploit the absurd money-printer known as the enchanting font.
Holy cow that intro music with the bells is fire
Oblivion is like Mr. Bone's wild ride, the overall 'goodness' really depends where you go. The bone zone w minotuars at lvl 3? Or a hidden stach of goodies at lvl 3?
13:14 - For armor I always like hitting up Fort Nikel because it spawns Bandits AND Marauders and they will fight each other
Bro I remember the 30+k guy running and having no idea what was going on but jabo screeching his head off and I was laughing because of it
Marauders and Vampires are the dungeon types with the best cash cow quality. There's a small vampire cave not far outside of Skingraad that has 2 boss level enemies. My go to money making dungeon.
"Chat, say hi to UA-cam."
Chat: "Technically he's a wyvern"
Nice use of the mass effect ending song at the end of the vid. A great song
**hellish being contorting into door**
"I like what I see"
Hell yes, been waiting for this 1
That Young Souls beat drop was iconic!
Fallout 4: selling basic necessity as a commodity
Skyrim: selling literal poison
Oblivion: arms dealer
There's something hilarious about hearing Two Worlds music in an Oblivion video
You just needed to cement your status as a monster with that finale, didn't you?
alchemy is the best and fastest way to get mass money in oblivion, the most expensive house in the game has a servant that can give a single food item every time a dialogue choice is made that can be made into a cure disease potion (at alchemy 100 it only takes a single ingredient) that sells for a decent chunk.
Oh man I just finished replaying Mass Effect 3 yesterday and than I hear Leaving Earth while you kill your biggest fan. That hit.. strangely
peepoTalkButFaster Good people, we have a winner! All hail the combatant from the Blue Team! Victor from the Blue Team, leave the Arena now and rest. You’ve earned it!
Good video Jabo. Nice work
That leona song at the beginning is so relaxing
The way your adoring fan was paralyzed then slowly died was horrifying. Worth the two gold though.
I did a run where I grinded my magic to get to level 25 with perfect stat upgrades and did all the sleep required quests to ensure I'd stay at level 25
Once I started playing I realized that armor was so valuable compared to everything else that there wasnt any point in collecting anything else to sell.
Banger Vid as always
Next you should try how long does it take to become a millionaire in ESO
You can just take the back door to fort Farragut and unlock the barrel without having to be in the dark brotherhood.
You conjuring whilst doing quests reminds me of runescape and using high alchemy everywhere!! hehe
