Phineas and Ferb premiered in “sneak preview” fashion on August 17, 2007 with Rollercoaster. Similar airings for Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror and It’s a Mud Mud Mud Mud World, until February 1, 2008 with Flop Starz and…Toy to the World, I think, which marked Phineas and Ferbuary, where an avalanche of new episodes marked regular premieres for the show

Well if Doof is an version of Rick, I'm certain he's the most healthiest version of Rick ever. And considering Doof's childhood that's saying something.
So a couple of things in terms of the show's history: The show actually ran from 2008 to 2015, not 2009. 2009 was when it started running on Disney XD, the Disney sister channel. It also officially has 222 episodes, not 133. Or 126 "half hours" if you look at it that way (which is dumb IMO but whatever). But yeah this was great :) Pretty much what I expected for someone that's never watched the show before. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. By the by according to one of the creators of the series the final fight scene (if I'm recalling correctly) consisted of SIXTEEN HUNDRED PAGES OF STORYBOARD.
12:59, that’s his characterization. Normally, he says one line an episode but here and there there are episodes where he says more. And yes, he’s British
Phineas and Ferb is my favorite cartoon of the 2000's, so it's nice to see it pop up on here. And this is one of my more favorite episodes of that show.
As a fan of Phineas and Ferb from the time it was still airing, SIR, YOU HAVE ACTIVATED MEMORIES I DIDN'T EVEN REMEMBERED I HAD! I remember this special! Man!!! It was SO fun to watch! Also yes, Ferb's side of the family is British, if my memory doesn't betray me he's a half-brother to Candace and Phineas? anyway, there's an episode or two that goes into them having fun in London, that's why I vaguely remember that. I adored the movies, all of them, even if my memories of them are hazy at best (except for the second dimension one. That movie was GREAT, "this was my favorite movie for some years" levels of great to me as a kid). Great review, great observations and great jokes, seeing people react to something I always enjoyed is so fun
Phineas and Ferb was such a good show. I especially loved the Night of the Living Pharmacist. It had cameos from everyone from George Romero to Simon Pegg and Nick Frost lampshading how ridiculous the whole situation was. "Wait if when i transform and my clothes become a labcoat wouldnt that mean my clothes would have to be part of me? This doesnt make any sense"
4:14 By the by, the closest Kingdom Hearts has ever gotten to crossing over with Marvel, is in KH3 where Sora and gang meet up with the Disney version of Big Hero 6. Calling it right now, if Thor ever shows up in KH, they'll put in a gag where Sora casually lifts Thor's hammer, and question why its so light.
Oh come now Linkara, I read comics BECAUSE of Atop the Fourth Wall. (Well that and amazing things like 'Into the Spider-Verse' making me want to read non-616 Peter Parker stories).
This being the first Disney marvel crossover makes sense, at the time, phineas and ferb was a mega hit, getting merch, games, multiple movies, a sort of spin off, and soon more episodes. Dan povenmire one of the show creators and voice of dr doofensmirtz, to this day is still an active member of Disney and still a member of the community that loves the show, the show is and was that popular, Dan also pulled a Simpsons and by accident, predicted the color of glow from chemicals that were discovered in platypus fur. It made so much sense not only back then, but even now, as people still go ballistic for the show, kinda like some of the Rick and morty fans, but with more brain cells

Having recently binged watched Phineas and Ferb, I can enjoy how this episode gave us antagonists who actually a threat while still being goofy, but not in a way that made them come off as inept. Also I loved how Monogram tried to look cool in front of Nick Fury.
@@dylansharp8471 No, I am an MCU fanboy actually. The comment was just referring to how P&F typically has villains who are so inept it's almost a stretch to call them villains.
8:39 Well you're right about the anti matter and matter explosion thing but this is the Hulk we're talking about, he emits radiation and has matter that no normal human being has so maybe antimatter + Hulk equals just punching him into a building Another thing is considering Antimatter is merely theoretical then there's no telling what it could really do
I check out this episode for the first time a few days ago upon hearing the premise, and only a bit later do I find out that Linkara has just reviewed it? Clearly, the Gods have been kind to me.
Linkara: Nimue, I know what we’re going to do today!! Hey… where’s Pollo… and where’s my hat?!!? Pollo sneaks away with Linkara‘s hat on. 🎶Do-be-do-be-do ba Do-be-do-be-do ba🎶 🎶POLLO!!!🎶
Okay, so I like Phineas and Ferb but I have some major issues with the crossover since it ignores some major things. Tony Stark has no powers so he could have simply used another piece of armor. IF Hulk lost his powers, he should have reverted to Bruce Banner. The Iron Man conundrum also apply to Thor since he's an Asgardian, so his powers could only be taken away through magical means (even without the hammer Thor is powerful). The only one that made sense was Spiderman. Funnily enough, there was an episode of Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes that had Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America lose their "powers" but it was more so that Tony was wearing his Mark one suit and Thor became mortal.
For me I was always bothered by the idea of why Venom was there to begin with, if they wanted to use a spidey villain in this special, fair enough, they could've used like maybe doc ock, vulture, electro, rhino, mysterio etc. but venom? His inclusion feels shoe horned in as he was in Spider-Man 3.
@@AlexSeverinski That's fair, I don't wanna sound like I'm trashing them since this really is 100% harmless. Its just be being pedantic to how the character actually works for me being a venom fan and all. Its just not for me, honestly I got more laughs from the Phineas and Ferb Star Wars crossover.
PC-The- Unicorn I’m a bit more lenient on Iron Man at least, because they explain that he’s basically locked inside the suit and can’t move. For a good amount of time, the other characters have to wheel him around on a furniture dolly
@@AlexSeverinski being fair with Hulk, there was a time during cartoons where for some reason made EVERYTHING in their power to avoid showing Banner. to the point that when Banner appeared in the Hulk cartoon of Agents of S.M.A.S.H., it was like looking at a unicorn.
I didn't know people other than avgn and the nostalgia critic still use this editorial style. It's grating for me, but I'm actually glad you are still here and have an audience. I hope your channel continues to grow.
13:40 Maybe Spider-Man's "sticking to stuff" power is also sticking Thor's helmet to his head? I know this cartoon was meant to be weird and daft, but I can't help thinking the swapped powers thing could've been handled differently. Like maybe Iron Man can't use Mjolnir due to the worthiness thing, but he gets Thor's Asgardian strength instead and accidentally breaks his armour because he doesn't know how to utilise an "inborn" power? And Hulk gets Iron Man's smarts, so he tries to build an Hulk-sized Iron Man suit but has to use junk and spare parts so it ends up looking stupid?
And Linkara has been introduced to the awesomeness of Phineas and Ferb! Any questions you'd have, sir - they're pretty much known to anyone who's watched the show. This thing has a LOT of callbacks. Perry had to wear a superhero disguise to keep his identity hidden from Phineas and Ferb, for example. They don't even know he's a secret agent.
I'd imagine UA-cam loves attacking Linkara's videos and it's stupid. I hope in some near future that problems gets resolved somehow Linkara. ALSO... YES... YES, YES, YES! Good video! I've enjoyed Phineas and Ferb A LOT... A lot, this was perfect.
I wonder if there'll be a Marvel crossover featuring Phineas and Ferb's sister show/spin-off from Season 2 onwards, Milo Murphy's Law. Starring Weird Al.
I actually love this show and I've seen pretty much all the episodes and this special, yeah this is a weird, but rather hilarious crossover, I saw it when it came on TV the first time. Oddly the only other Disney/Marvel crossover that immediately jumps to mind is the Spider-Man Cartoon being crossed over with the show Jessie for an episode... the live action show Jessie at that, never saw it honestly, no real comments to be made. Anyway, thank you for reviewing this and to whoever requested it.
The Jessie crossover was weird Jessie and those kids she looked after were in the museum of natural history on Halloween night and Spider-man ends up trapped in there with them when Morgan La Fey is unleashed and takes over the museum, also the kids originally had crappy homemade costumes on for Halloween but Morgan turned the costumes into actual costumes so the little girl was wearing an actual Doc Ock outfit with the tentacles moving around and everything and she turned that one kids pet lizard into a dragon I never saw Jessie so that episode just baffled me why they were concentrating in these random civilians until I recognised the name Jessie and remembered there was a show called Jessie airing on Disney XD so I just guessed that was where they were from
I like how Thor and Tony's argument about whether Tony can use the hammer is actually based on an actual conversation that happened when the crossover made. Also, it's weird that the show treats Spidey as if he has organic webshooters instead of actual mechanical ones. I don't remember if they outright say he can't shoot webs but the way he just starts shootin webs to test the return of his powers imply he uses organic webs. But I might also not remember if actually shot any webs while being powerless. Then again, without his superhuman strength, Peter's options with his webs are a bit more limited.
The device drained the power from Tony’s suit so it probably turned off Peter’s webshooters his webshootets were electric in the Ultimate Spider-man Cartoon as he got more advanced ones off of Nick Fury
Things like content ID are what make subscriptions so important, so you actually know when videos come out and can watch them the few minutes you have before they get removed.
Man Phineas and Ferb, I was so in love with that show when it was airing. Though I never saw this special, I must fix that because it looks like alot of fun. Great episode as always
"...a Kingdom Hearts-style adventure where Marvel heroes team up with Mickey and Donald to fight Doctor Doom or something." I would pay a crapton of money to see that.
Very cool and humorous review. I find myself rewatching this episode whenever it's on. Love the fact the times when the show is self aeare and ask the questions you happen to be thinking which makes it that much more funny. This episode is downright awesome.
1. With 4 major heroes unavailable, Fury and his team are probably busy keeping things together back home. Plus, this seemed like a good chance to start ties with a smaller spy team in case they need the help later on. 2. Well, Phineas does share his first name with a tech focused Marvel villain. 3. With all the various shenanigans he and his crew get into, plus any days they had to take off for 1 reason or another, chances are something had to get put off. And since the armor is a rework on a past project, I can see it being put off for a bit while they work on different stuff. After all, Linksano didn't care much for retreading past projects.
Both Isabella and Bufford wanting to go after Hulkjeet makes sense. In a few episodes it has been implied that Baljeet has a crush on her while she only has eyes for Phineas. Bufford on the other hand is Baljeet's best friend while also bullying him, at one point they had a song together about how the other person was like his least favorite brother. Also important Phineas never gets angry, this and the two movies were the the only times in the entire series where he ever gets mad. So it probably hit Candace hard
It's kind of amazing that Linkara thought so highly of this, given that a LOT of Phineas and Ferb's humor comes from messing with and making meta jokes about the conventions and format established in the early episodes in every way possible. He's missing a pretty hefty chunk of the jokes watching it as he did. Of course, this special had a lot of Marvel-based humor as well, so it seems that it worked out anyway.
Yeah, it's a fun laugh... but This crossover opens a HUGE number of plot holes within the show's Universe. If the Marvel Heroes and villains are real in this Universe, why does Phineas and Ferb's mother have such a hard time believing her boys do what Candice claims? For reference, she knows a Time traveling conquer exists, Gods, aliens like the kree and skrulls, a man able to manipulate gravity itself, a gamma radiated green monster who gets stronger the angrier he gets, among so many of the things the Avengers have handled, both separately and together and yet she never ONCE considered anything Candice says could hold a kernel of truth? Then there's SHIELD. Why have they not once contacted the boys or their parents about the countless ridiculous things they've done over the summer, at least a third of which could be considered on par with stuff the Avengers deal with? At the least you'd think Nick Fury would've talked to them about internships as SHIELD scientists.
Very good and funny review, good stuff. Also, I get comics to read every week. And the reason Perry wore a superhero costume is to hide his secret identity from Phineas and Ferb and their friends and family as if they find out he would have to leave for having his cover blown.
Yay! A hero-with-a-cool-hat, who used to fight an evil scientist trying to take over the world, is reviewing an episode of a tv-show which is partially about a hero-with-a-cool-hat who fights an evil scientist trying to take over the world! Also this show is very good at fast-pacing because they always have to stuff two intertwining storylines (about brothers making something and sister trying to tell on them and Perry stopping Dr.D) into each episode. I heard that while they were pitching the idea of the show, they were once turned down because the premise was considered too complicated for children, with too many things going on at once.
As a fan of the series, I thought this review was on point. Some good riffs and I agree with your points. There's certain corrections/extra info I can give, but nothing too major. I won't stand for the Horse in a bookcase slander though :P
18:10-18:19 "And... Four more bodies to add to Candace's murder count." At least it was supervillains this time. Hell, killing the *Masters of Evil* would definitely improve her street cred. XD Also, I'm not sure if you will continue looking at animated stuff but if you do, I hope you look at Spider-Man: the Animated Series at some point.

There’s a weirder crossover: Jessie, a live action Disney kidcom, with Ultimate Spider-Man. Wholly animated. Including the Jessie characters. It’s also a Halloween episode. And now, in Marvel Rising, we have stars of KC Undercover, Liv & Maddie, and Andi Mack voicing characters
the wost part is that that crossover was better than Megaforce
@@ianr.navahuber2195 Thats not really saying alot
@@TheBatbike sure. But I couldn't think of any other true bad Crossovers (only Crossovers that have problems but are good like the Spider-Verse cómic, or are SO quick, and are gags only that you cannot criticize it; like The Gravity Falls/Rick & Morty joke of the Pen) Just that cutaway gag where supposedly Quagmire killed the Simpsons and raped Marge (thank goodness They did a better episode later in the form of THE Simpsons Guy), or that "Crossover" where RPM Red is the only RPM ranger crossing over with Samurai; and maybe that powerpuff girls episode when The "Superfriends" (the ones from some short in Dexter's Laboratory) become sexist for no reason.
As soon as you said “First crossover since Disney bought Marvel” in your last video, I instantly thought of this.
Wasn't Club Penguin crossover first?
Too bad he had to cut it down so much for time and the platform’s copyright restrictions. I would’ve loved to have seen what he thought of the Giant Floating Baby Head
Is that one in this special? I don't remember it showing up here.
The baby head passes by MODOK during the Evil Buddies song, making MODOK confused.
Also the joke about them putting parking tickets on Thor's hammer.
7:05 Ironically for that joke, there's one episode where the O.W.C.A. think Phineas and Ferb might actually be supervillains working with Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram's intern Carl went undercover as a kid to see if their invention was evil.
It’s really funny that, considering how PnF is usually, Linkara’s joke lines from the opening number actually sound real.

In the MCU, Phineas and Ferb are responsible for making the infinity gauntlet 😂
Here is something funny. Spider-Man had a crossover with Jessie. What’s even funnier is that (among other crossovers) had a cameo by Mr.Mosby from Zach and Cody. And Sweet life of deck (a continuation of Zack and Cody) had a crossover with Wizards of Weaverly place. Endgame is the biggest crossover, Disney did it years ago.
Stan Lee: Agent P. I have a new assignment for you. Thanos is trying to get the Infinity gauntlet and wipe out the universe you must stop him. Excelsior!
You know, i'm nto sure who came up with the whole "secret agent platypus fights mad scientist" element of this show, but i'm glad they did. Also, they did crossovers with both Marvel AND Star Wars, and neither of them felt at all weird or tonally dissonant. That is called witchcraft. Also, every song from this show is a baller.

Linkara please don't worry about your show. I think you're doing a great job and believe it or not your show inspired me to go out and look for good comics like World War Hulk, and Batman Noel. Please never stop your show T-T
I'll be honest, I would love to see Ghost Rider and Red Skull meet. The amount of things Red would see when stared at by Ghost Rider would be insane…
Red Skull is basically super Hitler, so he would definitely be far above average to other super villains, in terms of sins he has committed.
Well if Doof is an version of Rick, I'm certain he's the most healthiest version of Rick ever. And considering Doof's childhood that's saying something.
So a couple of things in terms of the show's history:
The show actually ran from 2008 to 2015, not 2009. 2009 was when it started running on Disney XD, the Disney sister channel.

Of course Doofenshmirtz went after a hot dog vendor, it fit one of his many many many many backstories

“If you’re looking for a good show watch Dr Zone”
Oh, my gosh! Why hadn’t I thought of darkwing Duck when I initially watched this. They should’ve done that!
@@HeartlessSlayer Oh yeah, I honestly forgot that Venom was in this!

Legend Of The Fourth Wall: Linkara's Awakening.
Perry has poiseness spikes in his last legs
And Linkara has been introduced to the awesomeness of Phineas and Ferb!
Any questions you'd have, sir - they're pretty much known to anyone who's watched the show. This thing has a LOT of callbacks.
Perry had to wear a superhero disguise to keep his identity hidden from Phineas and Ferb, for example. They don't even know he's a secret agent.
I don't think he was confused on that more on why perry would ditch said gear

,++Sabrina Carpenter, ++MeKai Curtis, etc.
RuinQueenofOblivion that was me and you are welcome :)
The Jessie crossover was weird Jessie and those kids she looked after were in the museum of natural history on Halloween night and Spider-man ends up trapped in there with them when Morgan La Fey is unleashed and takes over the museum, also the kids originally had crappy homemade costumes on for Halloween but Morgan turned the costumes into actual costumes so the little girl was wearing an actual Doc Ock outfit with the tentacles moving around and everything and she turned that one kids pet lizard into a dragon I never saw Jessie so that episode just baffled me why they were concentrating in these random civilians until I recognised the name Jessie and remembered there was a show called Jessie airing on Disney XD so I just guessed that was where they were from
Wait...Spider-man crossed over with a tween sitcom?
@@KeybladeMasterAndy Yeah, don't ask me why, I don't know either.
Oh, there you are Linkara!
The Perry costume in the trash can might be a Spiderman reference from the times he just pitched his costume
Then again, without his superhuman strength, Peter's options with his webs are a bit more limited.
tha's true. epseically because, now that i remmebr, ltimate cartoon pete HAD mechanical webshooters
The device drained the power from Tony’s suit so it probably turned off Peter’s webshooters his webshootets were electric in the Ultimate Spider-man Cartoon as he got more advanced ones off of Nick Fury
@@mrcritical6751 that might be. It ezmxplains why Thor couldn't do webs.

Man Phineas and Ferb, I was so in love with that show when it was airing. Though I never saw this special, I must fix that because it looks like alot of fun. Great episode as always
"...a Kingdom Hearts-style adventure where Marvel heroes team up with Mickey and Donald to fight Doctor Doom or something."
I would pay a crapton of money to see that.
Hey Linkara, I know what we're gonna watch today
18:44 i think the costume being ditched was a spider-man reference to the famous spider-man no more cover.
I've never seen Phineas and Ferb, but from this I've gotta say, I love the meta humor of it.
Gosh, your humor fits Phineas and Ferb so well.
I can tell I’ve been binging this show. My 2-year-old just started calling out “‘kara!” in time to the chorus even though he should be asleep. 😂
Phineas and Ferb is masterfully written and clever. Anyone who thinks that cartoons are only for kids must watch it.
I've been wating for this for years now. Happy it's finally here.
I heard that while they were pitching the idea of the show, they were once turned down because the premise was considered too complicated for children, with too many things going on at once.
there was a spiderman and jessie crossover too
As a fan of the series, I thought this review was on point. Some good riffs and I agree with your points. There's certain corrections/extra info I can give, but nothing too major.
I won't stand for the Horse in a bookcase slander though :P
