Swimming... in a flash flood. That's got to be the funniest thing you've ever said, Simon. It's not the depth of the water, it's how fast it's flowing, and when 3ft of water wants to go somewhere, it will go there, and take your knees out as surely as a sledgehammer.
Having been swept away by various bodies of water, I can confirm. Each ended in injuries varying from mild lacerations to the palms of my hands and soles of my feet, to a two day coma and at least one period where my mortal and unconscious form chose not to breathe for about 6-8 minutes and was kept extant by means of a timely ambulance and the efforts of a Dutch tourist. So they told me at the hospital. That was a river and f-ck me they do not mess about. Got less of a beating from the Indian goddamn Ocean.
I got hit with a *really* tall wave on a beach once. While walking. I wasn't paying attention to a GIANT wave incoming. It might as well have been a train. I went FLYING! I went from walking to swimming instantly.
It's the same reason most horse trainers tell people they shouldnt try crossing running water while riding their horse, the horses skinny ankles can easily be swept out from under them while on slippery rocks by just inches of water.
The reason the whole thing went “whoosh” as soon as Karen opened the door was because by opening the door, Karen provided the fire with infinitely more oxygen.
Yeah, someone ought to have explained what a backdraft was. To her, in the article, in this video, all of that. People really ought to know about those.

People don't understand that depending on the state just preventing someone from leaving a car during an argument is considered kidnapping. As is holding someone down or grabbing them to keep them from leaving. I learned this from my husband who is a criminal defense attorney.
You do NOT mess around with flood waters. Just six inches of fast moving water can knock you off your feet. And even if you can stay upright, you are now moving about in water that is chock full of raw sewage, gas, motor oil and, who knows what chemicals from vehicles and buildings in the flood.
Simon an friends - It's not the swimming, that's the problem. It's what's in the water. The amount of debris just beneath the surface in rushing water can impale you, crush you and suck you under where you just end up in some sort of meat grinder type scenario. On top of that there's usually a ton of waste water added and so infections are bound to happen. It can seem like just an easy swim but you can't tell what's under the water. Lost a friend of mine who tried to swim to his dad a few blocks away. His body was found days later.
If the water is deep enough to leave the top of the car and upper part of the windows visible, you can still _easily_ drown. These days of automatic windows and tinted glass means you need to BREAK the windows. Get a window breaker tool. It's remarkably easy to use. Go to a junkyard and practice (obviously get permission). It could save your life and those of your loved ones.
I'd love a series like this from different countries. Find a specific area in different countries that have dumb people/criminals so us Americans can feel just a bit better about ourselves!!! 😂😂😂

I want to be offended as a dog owner, but it's just funny. And also true in a lot of cases. Although I have definitely heard stories of dogs heroically saving their owners, so it's definitely not universal.
10:52 as I climb the stairs to my double wide in Florida 🤣
Merry Christmas to the staff at Brain Blaze as well to the BBnation.
My grandma had an electrical fire that spread from the garage while she was sleeping, and guess who woke her up? The cat. Good jitty
People don't understand that depending on the state just preventing someone from leaving a car during an argument is considered kidnapping. As is holding someone down or grabbing them to keep them from leaving. I learned this from my husband who is a criminal defense attorney.
My favorite part of Friday 🙌🏻
Also a cat person! Cats rule, dogs drool!
Yay!! Team cat!!🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛
