  • Installing Extra Cargo Tie Down Points In The Bed Of My 2018 F150 - Here's How. I've wanted some better options for tying stuff down in the bed of my truck especially for when I'm hauling motorcycles. I think I found the perfect solution. I Installed some "box link" tie downs that install into the factory holes in the bed sides. This is how I installed mine on my 2018 F150 SuperCrew twin turbo 3.5L Eco Boost. I also show you some of the mods I've done to my lifted F150.

What a grand idea, many times I've wanted a midbed tie-down, thank you for posting, will have to see what's available for my truck/bed type.
Many thanks for all the ideas 🤗

I love those tiedown points. The Last Boks set up is also a great idea. Makes me think of how many times I put something in the back of the truck that only needs that much space, a 5 gallon bucket of paint or even groceries. I keep an old golf club in the back to reach in and pull stuff that always slides forward. Great ideas, Thanks for sharing!

Thanks man yah that divider is going to come in super handy. Once I put the tonneau cover on then lifted the truck, getting things that slid forward became a real pain. Not anymore. Like you said, a 5 gallon bucket or even groceries wont slide all over now. I love it! Thanks man @papatonysworkshop6584

For sure! We get heavy salt on roads in the winter. Every fall I blow almost a gallon of fluid film under it. And I even put it into the doors and rockers even though it has an aluminum body. Aluminum will corrode after a while do I don't take any chances. Bush cheaper than spending 60k on a new truck every 5 years lol

That is one fine truck Brandon! Im not allowed to own a Ford due to my younger daughters request. When she was 6yrs, while crossing the street was struck by an F150. Survived but having a traumatic brain injury and wheelchair bound. She is 29yrs now and will always be with her mom & me. That happened back in 2000. 7 yrs later my oldest daughter was in a life threatening car accident, and survived, then 10 yrs ago my son died in a car accident. We are a strong family because of God’s gracious mercy! Life things can happen to anyone, and the answer to get thru any circumstance is God!

I see you have a plastic box in the back to put stuff into and control movement.
I put 2 2x6's on top of each other in the wood containment slots. I put holes/slots in the top board to tie things to, to prevent rolling/moving. (Big welding cylinders, propane tanks, groceries, etc.)
Nobody uses those slots for what they are for (OK, I do, but no one else).
Try it - you may like it, for when the plastic tub just doesn't quite work.
PS I put struts on my tailgate also, big difference.

I've contemplated putting in a sprayed liner because I like the clean look but then I would just end up dropping this back in anyways so it wouldn't make sense. The bodies and bed on these are aluminum so im not sure how much abuse it could take before it dented.

I've owned Chevy my entire life. My 2002 rotted in half and I got bitter. I loved that truck. The seats were the most comfortable of any truck I've ever owned and the motor would have gone forever but the thing rotted out like crazy. GM really fried me. My father in law bought this truck brand new in 2018 as a lease. He drove it 26,000 miles of which 3,500 were mine going from Maine to Chicago on a family trip. When his lease was up I had the lease transfered into my name and bought out his lease. I paid 28k for the truck. We will never see these prices again so this truck will have to last my lifetime lol.
