Master Ood bnar slept for thousands of years in Ossus, and when he woke up the first thing he did was save the life of people he didn't knew. He truly was one of the greatest jedi in history.
In my canon he survives that whole ordeal on ossus in 10 ABY thanks to Luke, Kam and My Fanon Jedi Master and becomes a member of the NJO and The New Jedi High Council and also becomes the next Kit Fisto and Obi-wan when it comes to lightsaber combat

Crystals technically have no color, affinity, or desires..
That’s why they’re pure in the force..
They will become corrupt when they fuse with the force user and create the color of the spirit of the Jedi or sith that wields it…

This one really gets you thinking, my thought on Master Bnar wielding a brown lightsaber and what it means to obtain/ have one is representative or maybe connected to the species. From what I gather about the force is it's all around, isn't Ood a species of nature? With his force connection being pretty direct and probably very sensitive or keen to all forces, both light and dark, but since his "nature" of being as naturally nurturing he isn't swayed by the knowledge he knows of the sith... like it's said of Master Bnar and the connection with that Saber it's unique as he is...
With that being said, maybe only the "one", Luke, or bloodline in today's series of star wars could posses it, or a species that have that force born connection to the light, no conflicts unless necessary and even the use of a deadly weapon like the brown crystal lightsaber is avoided!

Seems like Windu's purple and light orange of the gifted crystal mixed. The will to study the dark with control with the total intent of gaining understanding and wisdom and a heart pure enough not to be swayed to the dark by that knowledge.
I wondered if ood was part of the force sensitive trees on Jedi temple grounds across the galaxy.in new canon it seems most temples had one. It could be a nod to him.i remember the story leading up to ood bnar sacrificing himself and taking root when exar kun attacked and him protecting a bunch of ancient light sabers.i read all those books back in the day. I have to admit darkhorse comics made some banger stories.

Although in those comics they are referred to as Adegan crystals, not kaiburr. Actually, there are many different types of crystal referred to in these comics. But they never, ever call them kaiburr. That's a new term made up in the past few years. Previous writers put effort into their work.

The color "brown" is nothing but dark orange.
The whole idea of a "brown" lightsaber is impossible. Not just physically but to even display in say a show or movie.
If you are in a dark room and the saber is glowing, then by definition the thing is bright and is the brightest thing in the room. The so called darksaber is forced to have with accents inside of it so it makes sense (even then it is no longer a "lightsaber" like any of the others). The darksaber is also forced to have edges so there can be white accents.
The "brown" would look orange. There is no such thing as "brown" colored light. Orange is a frequency of the EM spectrum but "brown" is not. Magenta is a mix of blue and red but "brown" is just a dark orange.
I think the crystal in question is called brown because of the crystal itself, which is dark brown or amber in color, not the blade it generates itself.

The source says a brown BLADE. This would be IMPOSSIBLE to visually show on a TV show or a movie as lightsabers are light emitters and by definition bright. You could write this in a book or color a blade brown in comics or cartoons. However, trying to translate it to live action would be impossible. It would not be a light emitter. Tree trunks for example look brown even though they are orange in wavelength because they absorb a lot of light compared to their surroundings.
The "darksaber" gets away with stuff by giving the blade an edge then accenting that edge with with light. It's weird looking because it has to be.
I have a degree in physics, and I can do a simple Google search. You are not going to win this.
A brown blade would be impossible. Any light emitting blade with the frequency of brown light would appear to be orange.
The source also says this:

The color would not be brown but orange at that point. It is orange and as dim as possible. How close it looks to "brown" would also depend on the strength of the background lighting. Any remotely strong light emitter compared to background lighting could not look brown.
Without doubt I’m sure I can’t wield it. I’m with the the purple lightsaber. However, I do wonder whether aqui-Gon or yadle could wield them. Interesting debate this one

If i remember correctly you had to do the HK-47 raid to get the one you are talking about. but you are right, that was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, for sure...

If it bonds to the user forever I have 2 questions.... 1 - if it is still waiting to be bonded to someone and it is permanent how does anyone know that its permanent when, by that logic, if it is not bonded to anyone then it has never been bonded before so there's no evidence to prove that is the case and 2 - what happens when the "forever master" dies? I would not embed upon the brown crystal. I see myself as a “scholastic warrior”. I fight for those who cannot fight, while I also fight for those around me to be educated. My crystal would be 100% blue, or maybe have a slight green tinge. I don’t think the anger that I have built within me would make a match to the brown. While many would say that me acknowledging my inner darkness and putting it down would warrant me a purple blade, I think otherwise. Others are more deserving of such things. My ancestors were nobles. And we Polish noblemen had one common job: DEFEND OUR PEOPLE. So, I shall turn down the brown blade. Being blue like my ancestral coat of arms means more than enough.
