Is the 2019 Cadillac CTS-V a BETTER performance sedan than the 2020 CT5-V?

  • The CTS-V will go down in history as one of the most power top performing midsize luxury sedans ever created. Under the hood is a 6.2L supercharged V8 that is pumping out 640HP & mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It's exterior features aerodynamic aides to help it reach 200MPH. On the inside you will find Recaro seats, a digital cockpit, and tons of room. Is the 2019 Cadillac CTS-V the BETTER performance sedan than the 2020 CT5-V?

I have a CTS-V coupe. Manual six, black on black on black. It's even got 5% tint. It literally looks like the bat mobile. And I smoke corvettes regularly, with a car seat in the back🤣

I agree the person who traded it in should have either gotten a regular CTS or went with the ATS-V if they didn’t want all that power.

I owned a G8 since they are pretty affordable. The GXP is really rare and has held its price amazing well over the years. Hard to find low mileage ones for under 25-30 grand

@@Willster7471 It is hard to find one, especially locally. I've been looking at Chevy SS's too, since they are essentially the same car. Sometimes you can find them for under 30k also. Of course, not too many of them were produced either.

Yes I'd say it is. The CTS-V is a brutal machine. The current CT5-V is now concurrent with the old CTS-V Sport. But the CT5- Super V will be even more vicious than the CTS-V.

@@RaitisRides True but my 2015 CTS V-Sport makes more hp than the CT5-V. The new "Blackwing" should be close to the CTS-V.

James Dyer Yess but realize your CTS-V Sport faster than the CT5-V. The CT5 is more efficiently engineered than the CTS. It may have less power but it has a 10-speed automatic transmission and AWD. Believe me, Cadillac knows what they’re doing. The CTS-V replacement will be brutal.
