It sounds fabulous! Sounds like a mid sixties 289 271HP, only meaner! You might want to look at Vise Grip Garage big block rebuild #2 installment where he gives very pointed instruction on setting valves with stud mount aluminum rockers with hydraulic radical cam. It looks to be fail safe, and something I would like to have known 50 years ago! Could have saved a lot of money.
When using those screw in head studs you should put the head on first then screw in the studs so as not to scrape the head on the threads of the studs and cause some aluminum shavings to possibly fall in the engine

greg ive been watching since you did the long tube headers, and drove it to high school
Hell yea bud! I needa cruise by and see this in person. Sounds absolutely insane.
Craig, go to Home Depot, menards, where ever you prefer and get a concrete mixing pan for draining fluids. Massive plastic pans that are very cheap (under $20) and work great. Love the videos man!
I love this truck have been following you for a long time it would look a lot tougher with a chrome bumper on the back to me. Good job man
Glad your back. The f-100 is looking and sounding good..
I had never seen those pictures of when you first got it man. Crazy to think of how many hours you've got into it but it just keeps getting better and better. Good work brother, keep inspiring people to go out and build their dream trucks
Sounds and looks supercool, great job! If you haven’t already, you might check out Richard Holdener’s UA-cam channel. He has some videos comparing single plane vs dual plane intakes on the dyno . When you decide to upgrade to a nicer intake you might find it to be faster with a dual plane. Thanks for the rust repair videos on the galaxies. I am working on a Bronco 2 with a rusted out top and your videos have helped me gather up the guts to start on it.
Murphy's law: the motor you beat on WANTING it to break won't- the high dollar one you put in and take very good care of will. Be prepared. Oh- I usually put cardboard underneath whatever drain pain I'm using because I know shit is going to spill ( "color outside the box").
Dude welcome back, that thing sounds sick!!
Watched to the end. Craig and other Galaxie fanatics keep me company on the treadmill.
Alright man finally! Been waiting for an update! Glad your getting the F100 back up and going!
Nice work. Come pretty far. That thing is a beast. .
Pretty soon you will have a collection that will make people jalous...the f100 and the galaxies..wow.
Glad your back try 15w40 t4 rotella oil I used it in my old 72 f250 it works great because as you said older engines have less tolerances thicker oil really helps but anyways it sounds really good
