I want to do a v8 swap in my ranger that is my dream but I want the ac to still work. Really dont know how to do it?? I guess a mountaineer or an Explorer supposed to work.

Man buddy I love your truck I just bought a 72 bumpside F100 it has the 351 Windsor C6 transmission solid truck has no rust that's rusted through on the entire truck except for just a small place at the bottom of the door these videos is what inspired me to find one of these and I finally did it's already running well I just got to get the linkage figured out in the transmission and put a paint job on it thanks for the videos have a blessed day...

My 2000 F150 5 speed with 270 Hp will smoke the tires. Once had my wife with me, i pulled a GT Mustang in 1st and 2nd, he was pissed. I get the same feeling shifting down into third and punching it- vrooom vroom, by the way- I'm 71!

He wanted me to enjoy the power and sound of it. All I really wanna do to it at this point is do a 4 barrel setup and a manual swap. I'd love to have trans like this kid Craig has in his truck, but I'd be happy with just a plain old 4 speed.

Just going by sound, It sounds like you have a gearing mismatch. In other words, it sounds like it's not long-legged enough for the engine. Causing it to over-rev. It sounds like it's hitting the top of what any certain gear can go. Which will cause it to lay flat. Mine pulls hard to 65 in 2 gear. And 95 in 3rd. And pull to about 110 in 4th. Mine is a 390 slightly warmed over with a top loader 4spd. (350 rear gear) Close to 4 thousand pounds. 65 Galaxie 500 Hardtop. You were shifting it pretty fast. But just going by sound, it sounded like it wanted the next gear even quicker than you shifted. It sounds like you're hitting sling a piston out stage really quickly. JMHO.

Ford belts always squeal just a little. Spray some Mother's Protectant or Areospace Protectant on them and they will stop squealing. The other option which might be out of your budget is a serpentine belt upgrade.

I know this sounds weird, but you should slip the clutch more when your shifting, and wait longer to let it out, your gonna tear the rear end out or shock that flywheel hard enough to shatter it.
Haha I drive my 03 Suzuki mini van the same way and always enjoy being in it. Just doing induction and exhaust so will be even better to hoon about in. I’m 52 and should know better!
Your at a good age in life and should enjoy it. As long as those pipes don't get you in trouble/LOL. I seemed to find cops when you couldn't find them in a real emergency. I like small blocks cause they are a lot easier to pull/plant in another car. I ran the devil out of mine as well My 352 interceptor engine was the fastest car without giving it a hand and my 63 1/2 with 427 was unreal for sure but you only live once

How the hell do you get away with that exhaust in Cali? Was just wonder really love the way the truck sounds!! Has a classic muscle sound! It’s a beast!
Put a highway gear in it and you might improve your mileage. ? maybe? Maybe not? Dont it have 351 heads so... it gonna suck more gas. Put the stock 302 heads on it and a two barrel it will improve gas mileage.
Others have already said this but you might consider a gear swap. Maybe 3.73 would help with mileage but still have low end grunt. Download the tremec app on your phone if you don't already have it. It has calculators for different gearing, rpm. Etc.
Been thinking about putting a T5 transmission in my 383 big block mopar but seems harder and more expensive than the smaller blocks, anyone have any info or have done this mod?

I have a smogged out 1974 351w in my 1970 mustang and it’s a complete turd but sounds awesome from the cam I put in it. But I need to get a 5speed like you to make it wayyy more fun the c4 is boring as heck.
I know the struggle of not being able to afford to daily a hot rod lol I drop an inline 6 in my 78 Nova so I can daily drive it all day long lol but only for for about 6-7 months of the year in Alberta Canada got an early spring this year so I finally get to drive it 😂😂

Pull the 4:10, switch it with the 3:50 ratio pull 120mph @ 4500rpm

I have a 1961 falcon with a 5.0 Roller I had it on A dyno and put 312 hp and 308 Torque to the wheel lot of work done to it

3:50 every ford truck has some pep to it but not the new v6 or the ranger but the 460 know how to do those good
Maybe valve float keeping it from reving high with power. I got a 360 AMC built up a little and would fall flat at 4500 rpm from the valve float.
