I'm a Scot who moved to the West Country for a long time, after all of your beautiful travels around Japan it was a little surreal to see Taunton out the window on one of your videos, and to hear the familiar whirring of the machine printing your ticket or the GWR recorded announcements that I could recite in my sleep. I was excited to see what you thought of Penzance and Cornwall! If you are ever back in the area I reccomend some of the walking routes and villages to the west, around the Land's End peninsula.
After vicariously enjoying the various regional station bentos and local food from around japan I was sorry to see you having to subsist on what looked like whsmith biscuits, but I'm glad you got to have some of the good porridge as well!

The best part of your travel videos, mostly trains of course, is your subdued laid back personality. You are unique in a UA-cam world full of people who think they need to scream during their videos to get their point across. 🚄🚅🚆

You passed through my city (Plymouth) on your journey, Kuga! Glad you liked Penzance - it's my favourite town in Cornwall. Hope you enjoyed the scenery on your return journey - I never get tired of the views, no matter how many times I've travelled in Devon and Cornwall by train. The original GWR was nicknamed God's Wonderful Railway, and I suspect the landscape had a lot to do with that!

Oh come now Kuga, I am British, it's not a beautiful sleeper, it is a 60 YEAR OLD carriage and train with a new carpet in it being sold to the captive British audience at an outrageously expensive price the bulk of its own population cannot afford with any regularity all to make a handful of wealthy people who live far away, richer than God can count. First group are a god awful company, and none of the rest are any better.
Our privatised railways are a complete and total failure so please don't let one pleasant trip colour anyone's overall opinion. We pay massive prices for overcrowded often old trains that also often stink of piss. If I got up and bought a 140mile train ticket to London right now, I could go to the airport and buy a ticket to fly to Italy for a lower price. That is the absurdity of our for profit privatised nightmare of a system.
