when i lived in Plymouth I remember watching this train go past my window just before I'd go to sleep :^)
how was living in Plymouth? we are thinking about moving there from Birmingham
@@Anlin there's a lovely model railway shop near a roundabout you might see if you get there by bus ;]
Thank you for this video, Kuga! You may think you are just offering enjoyable travel videos, but over this past very busy, hectic year of mine you have given me tranquil, informative and humerous moments to just relax!
I'm a Scot who moved to the West Country for a long time, after all of your beautiful travels around Japan it was a little surreal to see Taunton out the window on one of your videos, and to hear the familiar whirring of the machine printing your ticket or the GWR recorded announcements that I could recite in my sleep. I was excited to see what you thought of Penzance and Cornwall! If you are ever back in the area I reccomend some of the walking routes and villages to the west, around the Land's End peninsula.
After vicariously enjoying the various regional station bentos and local food from around japan I was sorry to see you having to subsist on what looked like whsmith biscuits, but I'm glad you got to have some of the good porridge as well!
King Kuga, it was lovely to have you in our country again. I am glad you enjoyed your trip :-}
Kuga, your videos are so informative and relaxing. Thank you for showing Queen Victorias waiting room! Never knew it existed! Also, you should show your handsome face more often 😊😊😊 Thank you for a wonderful video!
The best part of your travel videos, mostly trains of course, is your subdued laid back personality. You are unique in a UA-cam world full of people who think they need to scream during their videos to get their point across. 🚄🚅🚆
I love Paddington station. I remember taking my mum to the 1st class lounge, she loved it.
wow that is a super nice train. And perhaps the quietest train I have ever seen. You must have felt at home.
That train seems incredibly quiet. Wow.
Thank you kuga beautiful trip love from Rockingham NC USA enjoy your videos 💕💕
Hi Kuga,
Thank you for your latest train excursion. You have fast become a favourite of mine with your superb camera work and the mood that you set.
Lovely trip.
Best Wishes,
Peter
Good to see you came down here to the south west! Hope you enjoyed your trip.
Thank you Kuga, it looked like a nice ride and such a contrast between London and Penzance, beautiful scenery.
I have seen 3 other videos of travelers doing this journey. Yours was the only one with pleasant weather in Penzance and the showers working. You got so lucky.
That is a really nice looking train interior, very sleek. Hope you had a great trip.
I enjoy watching your videos.. You do love that Boulder, Colorado shirt.. thank you, love watching your content
Like the analogy of paddington bear to the shibuya hachiko statue ❤
Loved this 😊 Paddington is my favourite London station and tho I've been in the 1st class lounge I was unaware of the Queen Victoria link 😮. Looked like a splendid new train, I'm glad you enjoyed the journey ❤
Nice to see you back kuga ❤❤❤❤
The West Highland Line (Glasgow to Oban or Mallaig) is incredible, and in Scotland/The UK.
Considered one of the most beautiful in Europe, so I hope you do check that out.
Wonderful. Wish I could go. Greetings from Canada.
The train is slick!
Thanx Kuga......another great video i thoroughly enjoyed! 👍👍
Love your videos thank you for sharing ❤
A travel with this typical britisch Understatement 😊and the porridge Looks good with honey ITS a great combination🎉and great that There is a lounge in the Main Station👍
I do love Paddington Bear ❤️❤️🐻
Thanks Kuga, nice trip with you :)
Very nice video, I like how the way you filmed they journey in the peaceful , quiet way let us to feel how the journey was.
By the way, the day your mobile phone showed you were on the train was my birthday, 20/8/2024..
Nice. I might try this myself one day, if I ever want to return to Cornwall.
Your captions never disappoint.
I hope you had a wonderful time
Beautiful station
Thank you Kuga. Very beautiful trip.
What a lovely trip
Excellent
You passed through my city (Plymouth) on your journey, Kuga! Glad you liked Penzance - it's my favourite town in Cornwall. Hope you enjoyed the scenery on your return journey - I never get tired of the views, no matter how many times I've travelled in Devon and Cornwall by train. The original GWR was nicknamed God's Wonderful Railway, and I suspect the landscape had a lot to do with that!
Thanks for sharing your travel
The Pirates of Penzance!!!
Awesome video
That train looked really nice!
Bro, like your videos very much.
So Good. I enjoy so much!
Stunning Landscape on arrival Britain is so beautiful. Interior looks good but the bed is way to narrow for me.Price for a single compartment was ok if you compare it to nightjet trains from ÖBB, Single is always more expensive if you dont book that long in advance.
Mmm Kuga-san, your opening sequence has 🇺🇸London, UK not 🇬🇧London, UK...
...but have you seen "Cardiff, Japan"? 😂
ahhh i love these train videos💖
To the „Pirates of Penzance“ 😂😂
Been on both, the GWR seems better to me though the Caledonian is hauled by a class 92 electric locomotive and the rooms are bigger in some coaches ,the first class lounge at Paddington is very good .the locomotive that took you to Penzance is a former Class 47 locomotive which was build between 1964 and 1968 refurbished into a Class 57 ,
Very nice.
English trains may not be as sophisticated or advanced like the Japanese trains but there’s a unique feeling and comfort when you rail travel in England.
This specific cabin was very nice indeed.
Thanks Kuga. Would look forward to your return to London.
👍👍
MINE! MINE! MINE!!!
"Save the best for last," The toilet? HaHa.
Love.from.india...
❤
You should get a red carpet from the waiting room to the train for £165.00 😂
I don't watch your videos super often, but it's nice to watch every once in a while. Watching this one while finishing up my lunch and enjoying my soda.
There are very few “average sized” humans. However, 50% are below average, and 50% are above average.
How did you have the lounge at london to yourself? And then seem to have the entire train also to yourself? Are you editing people out of the clips? Sorry not seen your videos before so not sure if this is normal for your other videos, I just find it hard to believe that this train and the lounge was that quiet ( it was very busy when I went )
Nice content kuga..i just remind you all that end of time is near prepared with do charity because you have obligation to God for you goodness in eternal life..
It will be the brainwashed fanatics of the Abrahamic religions that bring about the end of human existence
Kuga living the best life ?
That porridge doesn’t look like it is food.
@@StevenWalker-ns5ii It's better than it looks. Perfect to warm you up at the beginning of a cold day.
1:18 Penzance is a town it is civil parish and port in the Penwith district of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. Penzance is not a city 👍👍👍
I did this journey with my wife 3 years ago.
Good video but you had a 🇺🇸 In the captions at the beginning for London, UK and not a 🇬🇧 or a 🏴.
Is a cat 🐈 supposed to go in that litter box???
London USA? 0:44
Must be a slow train, i have drivin that in 4 and a half hours during rush hour.
165 quid for a 300 miles journey that's gonna take 8 hours? No thanks
That’s really expensive for such a short route. Better off just flying.
Did you have to buy a shower card with only 3 minutes of water?
Oh come now Kuga, I am British, it's not a beautiful sleeper, it is a 60 YEAR OLD carriage and train with a new carpet in it being sold to the captive British audience at an outrageously expensive price the bulk of its own population cannot afford with any regularity all to make a handful of wealthy people who live far away, richer than God can count. First group are a god awful company, and none of the rest are any better.
Our privatised railways are a complete and total failure so please don't let one pleasant trip colour anyone's overall opinion. We pay massive prices for overcrowded often old trains that also often stink of piss. If I got up and bought a 140mile train ticket to London right now, I could go to the airport and buy a ticket to fly to Italy for a lower price. That is the absurdity of our for profit privatised nightmare of a system.
but FREE hot chocolate! 🙄
Oh there you go, bringing class into it again.....
@@areareare9953 lol, "again" ?? do I know you? ... not to my knowledge.
Though in general, much of our problems in the UK and myriad other nations are down to class issues, namely the majority working class vs the minority capitalist class robbing them blind by corrupting their governments and media.
@@somethinginnocuousindahouse lol 🤣I would not be at all surprised to find out that the 50p plastic cup of hot chocolate is only available to first class travellers. British Value at its finest.
@@Nine-Signs absolutely! don't forget the 3 custard creams as well, really pushing the boat out, eh?
Any reports of any thefts from Amtrak sleeper cars? Meanwhile, all of Japan is so concerned with security even though the culture dictates otherwise.
Amtrak should be ashamed.
Or maybe you should vote for politicians who will fund Amtrak properly (and thereby raising taxes) if you want better rolling stock.
Emergency exit hammer? ...
To break the toughened double glazing in the windows in the event of an accident. Those old Mark III coaches are superbly robust.
Yeah, for safely smashing the window to get out if the train crashes/catches fire and the door is inaccessible
Why take the train if you can’t enjoy the scenery???
To get from A to B. Next question.
It’s not FREE STUFF!!! IT’S INCLUDED WITH THE FARE!!! If it was FREE, then people would be able to come onboard during the stops and get it!!!
