Repair Your Loose, Floppy, or Squeaky Honda Visor for Free!

Did your Honda sun visor stop folding up all the way to the roof, leaving it hanging down in your way every time you get in or out of the car? Does it squeak when you open it or bounce up and down when you hit a speed bump?
The Styrofoam and plastic structure inside this visor is trying to turn a metal position spring and the plastic fails after a few thousand cycles.
Honda sells the replacement parts (with the same internal structure) new for $170 to more than $400.
All you need to do is strengthen the visor material around the spring clip with two thin steel plates.
