I forgot how creepy his voice was. I own Web Of Fear on dvd and watching that, the Great Intellegence was definately chilling. What an amazing villain with the Yetis that he controls. Creepy as hell.
love that little nervous cough just before he goes in - Troughton was brilliant
Ordered my copy today on dvd just hope we get more animated stories
Did they not announce that the wheel in space was getting animated because on the dvd of the macra terror it shows ten minutes of footage from episode one
We are however getting Hartnell’s second season on Blu-ray sometime in the future it’s been confirmed and there is already box art. Just no release date
You can just hear the malice in his voice.
Awesome, just a pity they won't be animating anymore missing episodes. Or not for some time anyway.
The animation is truly sublime!
Pixar, eat your heart out!
You spelled subpar wrong. It looks like a guy in his basement in 2003 animated it.
@@cindydott452 we are witnessesing perfection
@@idontdovarioustasks look up "Helluva Boss" here on UA-cam, and see what Wonderful animation can be produced on a shoestring budget. Also check out "Bee and Puppycat" .
The BBC spent hundreds of thousands more, and produced garbage. I find it truly hysterical that people are calling this nonsense good animation. Wawa commercials have better animation.
@@cindydott452 I'll check it out
Is this the great intelligence from Matt smiths era?
Yes
Yes, appeared twice in the classic series along with The Web of Fear.
No it's the great intelligence from the second doctor era that returned in the 11th doctor era.
In the Name of The Doctor, it explained that the Great Intelligence jumped into the Doctor's time stream and went through all the Doctor's past lives in an attempt to kill him
This one was interesting and exciting to watcg
Did anyone else get chills after hearing that creepy voice 😖
No.
Totally
My Bluray copy just arrived, been waiting to see this episode since I first read about it as a kid, perhaps I'll watch Web Of Fear after ;)
Lovely stuff
It's so great to see the 11th Doctor fight the great intelligence ☺️
This is the 2nd Doctor
@@commenterjosh2428 he’s probably referring to the wonky limbs. They’re better than fury tho
@@commenterjosh2428 Really?
Matt Smith based his version of the Doctor on Patrick Troughton's version - scruffy boots, slightly too short trousers, slightly too large jackets, a love of hats, a slight air of detachment/bewilderment, pointing with both forefingers, that kind of thing. All characteristics of the Doctor's second incarnation. Also, Matt Smith saw an interview with Troughton, who said that he reckoned that three years was the right length of time to play the Doctor. Smith went with it.
Finished reading the target novelisation of this story only today! What a nice surprise!
It's the end (for more animated Lost Doctor Who Stories... for now)... but there is a moment has been prepared for...
There in a cold climate and yet Jamie doesn't feel it blowing up the kilt. Guess he isn't a true scotsman then
Ah take it yive niver been tae Scotland? Scottish men widnae be bothered by a wee breeze up the kilt. Ach, they're a hardy bunch up north! 😄

Ordered my copy one year ago. It was delivered to a stranger and lost.
Well it's available on DVD and Blu-ray now so you have another chance to get it again.
@@darkstardavros I know, I know. I will only have to pay it twice.
@@sabrinatirabassi3529 well as it's highly unlikely that you will get back the one you lost its going to have to be a case of buying another one. I had my entire Dr Who DVD collection taken, shall we say, by my ex partner. So yea. It looks like I will just have to buy the whole lot again. Which will be a lot of time, effort and money. Unfortunately.
@@sabrinatirabassi3529 If it was delivered to the wrong address can't you complain to whoever you ordered it from and either get a replacement free or get your money back?
Get a refund and order it again. If you do it now, steelbook is still available.
Do we know when it will go out in the States?
It’ll be out on December 6th.
@@DoctorDodge Thank you very much.
Did they mention the Master, and did the Doctor just say he was a friend?
It's not THE Master, they wouldn't appear until the Third Doctor's era.
@@ExplosiveCookie Ah, OK, I thought it was a little bit of foreshadowing 5 years too early.

I love how people keep pretending this is high quality animation. It looks like something one guy in his basement made, in 2003.
they're matching the time period of the show with the animation. so yes, it is high quality.
@@Acekatt Matching the time period of the show with atrocious animation? You are bending over backwards to justify the poor quality. Look what Disney was doing in that time period.
@@cindydott452 I and many others would rather have or own opinion and not be harassed about it thank you very much.
And yet it looks like nothing of the kind. If you must complain about things, at least get the basic facts correct first!
Well no one else is animating missing Doctor Who, so
How do these animations keep getting worse? The first animation we had back in 2006 is so far superior to this rubbish. That was 16 years ago!!
Well you forget this is six episodes and the invasion had only two part animated
@@Micheal945 not forgetting anything. There's no excuse for the quality drop with 16 years more technology at their disposal. It's embarrassing.
They don’t. Everything you wrote here is pure lies. Stop it.
@@DrWhoFanJ are you blind? Open your eyes and educate yourself. You think this rubbish comes close to something like The Moonbase or The Invasion? No, it doesn't. Anyone in the industry could happily point that out to you.
@@MegaTheExtremist No, I am not blind. That is how I can tell this is not rubbish. 🙄
