Metallica 93 - The Unforgiven. The song is from 1991, nobody knew UA-cam at this time and Metallica sold around 125 Million Albums. Most of the songs on the list are much newer and the bands nowadays sell almost no physically Albums because all stream on YT or Spotify...

Jeez. People have gotten pretty carried away with what they call "music" and "rock". The list is 30% irrelevant non rock bullshit and 30% noise makers who get called "rock" because someone didn't know what else to call them.

I'd like to point out that it would be cool if rock music from other countries had been recognized more as well. And Japan is the best example of that, as it has a ton of great rock bands that are much more recent compaired to most of the ones shown in the compilation. If there was another Live Aid concert in the 21st century, Japan would be the country that would dominate every single rock concert I swear

Monster by Skillet def a hit of 2010. Curiously a christian rock band, they have a bunch of great songs. Decode is clearly more popular for its emo songs but had an evolution for more pinky pop songs but equally good ones. Actually im surprised that Panic! At the disco is not in the top, icon for emo-pop music. (I write sins not tragedies, emperor's new clothes, house of memories, king of the clouds, girls girls boys, mona lisa like pfff amount of great songs) and not as known of course buy three days grace, avenged sevenfold. So many emo great music.
There is just one key factor missing from Monster, but we will wait and see

Clearly now you have to do a reaction to Coldplay - Fix You
A couple of things to consider about ranking by UA-cam views:
1) Some songs have multiple copies, or live versions which water down the view count for any given video
2) Some songs were popular prior to UA-cam existing, so they don't have as many views as songs released after UA-cam was a thing
3) Some songs are popular with groups of people who don't use UA-cam as a place to listen to music
I'm not saying that view count doesn't matter, but there certainly is a bubble around it, with lots of very popular music sitting outside of this bubble.
That Coldplay song was "Fix You". Highly suggest you watch the live Sao Paulo version. It's emotional.

I would love for you to react to Los Jaivas, a Chilean rock band, innovative in the way of fusing rock and folk, and notable for its combination of psychedelic rock and progressive rock with Latin American folk instruments and rhythms. They have more than 60 years of experience and are still in force. They have played in Macchupichu, Antarctica among other places.
I ask you to react because I feel that everyone should know them, when singing in Spanish they do not have the diffusion that they should (in my opinion) and you and your channel can be a means for this.

With ALL the songs that are simply lyrics or album covers with lyrics, kind of disappointed how many "older" songs were left off the list. Not to mention the issue of having songs posted on multiple pages that ONLY have their "official channel" counted. So you know that something like "Hotel California" will have far more views overall than it is "credited for", especially consider how many of the outlets that get copyright strikes and have to take the song down, which then means that those views aren't counted.

Out of all those, there are only 2 that I don’t know. The first one was by Avril Lavigne, and the second was Bryan Adams Please Forgive Me. I have heard several songs from both of them, but not these particular ones.
Clone Hero is a great guitar hero-like game, the songs (aka charts) are made by people who play it, by fans, etc,... so there's no limit to which songs can be played or the version (censored, radio version, newer version, cover, live version, ... ) depending on the chart it can have the music video and/or the lyrics with it too
So, knew all the song.
However. And can't say anything about the list, because it just about total numbers.
However, I dont think all the songs on the list are "rock" songs. And based on that, the list can change, because songs that are rock might not have been counted. And songs that are not rock where.
But then again. There is no mathematical fact to what a rock song is. Very much a individual point of view. So I guess the person who made the list just went on the personal view on rock songs.
To be honest I thought this half of the list was mostly a load of unoriginal derivative crap. Maybe a half dozen good songs out of fifty. I expect they’ll get better as the countdown continues, though. Here goes …

I get the feeling the audiences for some of these songs don't overlap at all. They're using a very inclusive definition of "rock." Apparently someone thinks Avril Levigne is in the same genre as Led Zeppelin and Nirvana.

They are in the order they are in by numbers of views. There were songs behind those top 3 that I liked better but they were ranked by number. Guns and Roses song has been up and being viewed longer.

1. Cat Empire is an Australian band with a ska/reggae background but is an absolute dance party! Try live versions of Fishies, Better Than Gold, Still Young, or Steal the Light
2. Ozomatli is a Los Angeles latin infused hip hop dance party! Try studio versions from their 1st
album (green logo), After Party, or Saturday Night.
