Notice how many songs from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s have influenced the modern rock scene. Years later they are still very catchy, with unmistakable choruses and bases. Very nice
Not surprised by #1. November Rain was, of all the music videoes made BEFORE youtube, the first one to reach 1B views on YT. Also, that video is iconic. So, as someone who grew up in the 80s, the top 3 would be GNR - Nirvana - Linkin Park in that order.
"Is it more stunning (November Rain) than Nirvana" Yes, it is, there's a reason why it got the most views. When that double album came out it was the biggest song played on the radio. G N R were already huge with their previous album and Sweet Child, Welcome to the Jungle (and the rest of the album is also great), but when that double album came out with November Rain they became legends in their own time.
@@metoo7557 Linkin Park is bigger than that too. They are more influential band even before his death, GnR isn't even more influential than Nirvana. Linkin Park sold 100+ million copies in the world of pop and hip-hop + internet
The one thing you have to consider when watching "most viewed" videos is that "Baby Shark" has 13 billion views by itself, eclipsing a good chunk of this list by itself and far surpassing #1. Views doesn't equal best or best-selling or most popular. Also, newer content is going to be viewed more as UA-cam didn't exist until 2005, so older music wasn't even represented until it was posted, and at that rate views are probably spread out amongst many various posts of it at least until an "official" version was posted. Having said that, it was an enjoyable watch.
Most played on every iphone on the planet does not mean best or those played by those in the know. 'polls' are interesting coz you don't know what you'll get, but let's keep our senses.
for bands like linkin park ,system of a down , to have so many views just shows how much they crossed over to mainstream audiences surprised something like MCR black parade was not featured ,great reactions !
Hey Bisscute! Hi from Mongolia🇲🇳 - Right now on UA-cam Smells like a teen spirit has 1,779,502,653 views 🥉 - November rain has 2,119,223,180 views🥈 - Numb has 2,146,733,189 views 🥇 - So i like this placements :)
I actually just suggested that Extreme song "More Than Words" to you in the comments to your last Van Halen reaction. The lead singer of Extreme, Gary Cherone, ended up taking over as lead singer in the third version of Van Halen, which wasn't too successful, but that song, "More Than Words" is a great one!
The fact that November Rain is longer than both of your other choices and it's still number 1, should answer your own question. That, in itself, says not everything, but enough about how iconic is not just this music video and song but also how big Gun's and Roses were and still are.
Honestly I prefer Sweet Child O' Mine than November Rain. I'm kind of wondering why people like November Rain so much even though apparently Axl's voice in it doesn't sound as good as in Child. Guess they simply like the orchestra
@@blackman5867, I am a huge GnR fan. November Rain is my fav. GnR song of all time. The orchestra is not the reason for me. I love seeing & hearing Axl on the piano both in GnR's albums, videos, as well as Live concerts, I love his vocal range (I love his range in all GnR songs, but November Rain is special for me in the way Axl showcases his range), and while SCOM is also an awesome song, November Rain is more emotional song for me. I would never wonder why others prefer SCOM, or any other GnR song, because at the end of the day, I love GnR, no matter what & no matter which of their songs people may prefer. GnR are great. If I had a choice regarding the song version, I prefer this one: ua-cam.com/video/iOflIhelV8g/v-deo.html Putting aside my fav. song, in regards to GnR's videos, I think Garden of Eden video is their best. It is funny & a lot of fun :)
1. Pink Floyd - Time 2. Deep Purple - Burn 3. Led Zeppelin - In my time of dying 4. Rolling Stones - Can’t you hear me knocking 5. Yes - Roundabout Best up and coming: The Warning - Disciple
These are the top 3 songs from my point of view 1: November Rain (Great emotion Solo from the old skool rock band) 2: Smell Like Teen Spirit (Great Riff) 3: Numb (Nu-Rock Sounds) Maybe this song was chosen from a personal point of view or maybe the owner of this account is an 80's rock fans, I think.. 😁😁
Interesting. In these top views I don't recall seeing anything by early rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Thin Lizzy, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Synyrd, or even Nightwish. In any best bands contest, these would be in the mix.
I would think it has a lot to do with age demographics. The majority of people who regularly view UA-cam content are mid 20's to mid 30's. Granted, most of the people who listen to any of these top groups are likely to be older, but I would guess that the older the age groups, the less they are regularly watching any kind of UA-cam content, and so most of the fans for older groups like Zeppelin and Sabbath, Priest, etc., they are probably here the least. P.S. It's probably also worth mentioning that many of the older groups don't have "official" videos for most of their releases, or only relatively poorly produced ones if they do, stuff that never made it to MTV or got a lot of play on VH1, and so there isn't one particular video to base these kind of viewer statistics off of. They would have to find a way of doing aggregate counts of every video version of a song....
You should consider that a number of these songs that are recently released will hit their peak of popularity while UA-cam was around. Compare that to bands you said or even Jimi Hendrix, Heart, and Pink Floyd that had their heyday way before UA-cam was even a thing so there is a disadvantage there.
It's NOTHING to do with "best", it's 100% down to views* - I wouldn't call some of the tracks "rock", though, more "pop" or "metal". There are many of my personal favourites that didn't make the cut, such as BANDMAID! - www.youtube.com/@BANDMAID/featured *Two big factors of which are how long the M/V has been on youtube, and the numbers of people who checked out their music on YT.
OMG you NEED to check out Extreme - More Than Words. You will love it. And I honestly agreed with the top 3 as presented, but personally, if it was a matter of preference, Smells Like Teen Spirit wouldn't have even been a top 10 for me lol.
Hello Miss Bisscute !!! Warmest Regards for An Amazing New Year 🎊🎇🌄🌅. May it Be A Happy & Healthy one got you !!! As always the like button 🔘 has been Illuminated 😁👍👍😎🤗
Not an axl fan but certainly well deserved. The look of disappointment on your face was priceless. Definitely should check out more than words. Maybe not a reaction but you'll enjoy the song.
If you understand how well-constructed the MV and the song structure is, November Rain is no doubt #1. You just do not get it lmao. Numb got insane lyrics and vocals for sure, but compared to November Rain, it is not on the same level. Smells like Teen Spirit is one of the most iconic songs ever, but it essentially consists of the same riff throughout the song. The top3 rankings got it right.
I recognised 64/100. I guess I don't know as much about music as I thought I did 🤦♂ Top 3 would be... 1. Sweet Child O' Mine 2. Bryan Adams 3. Bryan Adams (obviously) Hello Biss's Mum 👋🥰
As a drummer for 30 years I knew every song on this chart. Some I agree with. Some are missing. But this is one perspective. I do believe they were all great choices. Happy new year beautiful. Look forward to your choices for next year.
So, 100 mini (re-)reactions...very nice. And one of the things that kept going through my mind is this: there are DJs that put on 80's/90's nights...and I can't help but wonder how much our Miss Bisscute would absolutely lose her mind at one of these events for all of the familiar music. It would be fun to see...and I'm pretty sure that Biss would be smiling (and dancing) the entire night.
None of those 3 would be my top 3 but I agree with statistics. This is not quality but popularity contest, and GnR are the last big rock era band and that is their most mainstream popular song. It fits.
You've probably already been suggested these songs but here you go. The first song I knew of a few bars that would play this song as the last song of the night letting you know they were closing. Semisonic - Closing Time Journey - Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) New Radicals - You Get What You Give Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue Santana - Maria Maria Paramore - Misery Business Those were mainly rock but if you want something else here are some 90s R&B & Hip Hop K-Ci & JoJo - All My Life TLC - No Scrubs Fugees - Killing Me Softly With His Song Blackstreet - No Diggity
This list is not about anybody's preference it's about the most views & i can understand why November Rain had the most views . I remember all the hype on all the music channels about this song before it even came out , most music channels did a 10 day countdown to the songs launch on their networks and millions of fans would tune in on the day of release .
Well, she obviously knows that, since she made that exact point at the end of the vid, but she still asked for viewers preferences. Personally, I like a few Linkin Park songs alright, but for my own top favorites list, Linkin Park wouldn't have made it to the top 3. ;)
NOVEMBER RAIN deserves to be #1. If you don't agree with that, you're f$#@ing crazy lol. I've been listening to music for 45 years, heard a LOT of music, and I would put this #1 for sure. The guitar solos in this song are iconic, and beautiful lyrics. Thanks for the fun reaction. Happy holidays and keep smiling🎄👍🙂
@@CarlosHuiskens Have your own opinion, but the only thing that matters is NOT what others say, but what you yourself say. I say it's #1. I don't care if you disagree, cause it makes absolutely no difference to me in my life. If you like something else, go ahead and make a comment about it. That's what this space is for on UA-cam. I used it for my comment and I'm quite happy about it. 🤪
Oh, also. The one with the saxophone that you responded to. Rod Stewart, is pretty old school rock star, who is a Brit that came out of that scene in the 60s, and was with a band called Faces, but they died out in the 70s, he went solo an became more pop, leaned into the disco during the 70s, then more pop in the 80s and 90s, but always survived. Great unique voice and lots of good songs. Out of all the stuff you still don't know yet, he honestly wouldn't have been someone I would've thought of to be at the top of my list to suggest to you, but not because he doesn't deserve it, and others have reacted to him plenty. There's lots of classic Rod Stewart for you to check out, but I don't know what that specific song or performance was, or why it was so popular. There's probably better stuff of his to check out. "Forever Young" is a favorite from the late 80s, maybe even early 90s, where the video was shot at a popular place to shoot on the edge of my home town. "Rhythm Of My Heart" is another good on from that time. "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" and "Hot Legs" are some classics from the disco era. "Maggie May" is a super classic song of his. "Young Turks" is a great one.
Biss, "Say it with me..." Us, Biss I can't roll my R's like that.🤣 Hard to believe it takes 1.3 BILLION+ views to get in the top 10. Also, I'm with you on the top 3. I think G&R at #1 is because it has been out for a LONG time.
Well, hete we go Biss.😁😁😁 Here is the list for the 2nd video of the songs I remember and enjoyed: 1.) Bryan Adams - Please Forgive Me 2.) Guns N' Roses - Paradise City 3.) Toto - Africa 4.) Survivor - Eye of the Tiger 5.) Hoobastank - The Reason 6.) No Doubt - Don't Speak 7.) Bon Jovi - Livin' on a Prayer 8.) The Police - Every Breath You Take 9.) Europe - The Final Countdown 10.) Metallica - Nothing Else Matters 11.) Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine 12.) Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody 13.) Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit Well, there it is (if you can't tell, I am old, so I have not heard a lot of new stuff/new age music).👍👍👍 I rather enjoy this type of content, please keep gping!!!💜💜💜
1 - November Rain, 2 - Smells Like Teen Spirit, 3 - Numb ... I think alot will HEAVILY depend on your age though! I was born in 1986, my Dad is a HUGE Guns n Roses fan, so I grew up listening to it, and November Rain is HIS favourite song. It became my favourite song too. Smells Like Teen Spirit came out in 1991 and my cousin (who was born in 1980) and I am very close with was a HUGE Nirvana fan and we'd hang out together and listen to music, so that song again is a memory of happy times plus exposure. Numb came out in September 2003 (the album Meteora in March 2003) and honestly I didnt have a great deal of exposure to it. None of my friends were into Linkin Park early on, nor was I, we were all more Slipknot, Metallica etc. and in 2003 Metallica brought out St. Anger (less said the better), Avenged Sevenfold released Waking The Fallen, Trivium released Ember to Inferno, Children of Bodom released Hate Crew Deathroll and so on, so Linkin Park weren't on our radar at the time. So I was quite late to Linkin Park and only really listened to any of their stuff after they did Collision Course with Jay-Z and that was around 2005 I think
Hey Bisscute, thank you for your reactions and all. Love your genuine reactions all the time, especially we do like the same songs and instruments etc. There were many songs in this top 100 that do belong in it (wrong order, we agree on that). But there are songs missing that belong in any top 100. For example, Terry Reid's Seed of Memory, Scorpions's Still loving you, Ich bin in dir from Böhse Onkelz or Tom Petty's Last Dance with Mary Jane. I don't even think The Offspring was on there with either Self Esteem or Pretty Fly. .... keep up those good reading videos. I enjoy watching them. Happy New Year to you und Guten Rutsch!
I'm surprised Sound of Silence by Disturbed isn't on there, I just looked and it has 959 million views. My top 3 bands are Linkin Park, System of a Down, Nightwish.
And out of those 3 top options, I'd go with 1: Nirvana, 2: Linkin Park, 3: guns n roses. Had it been any other great song from Linkin Park, they'd be first. Maybe... Hit the floor?
Loved the video and your reaction to seeing what's on the list of the Top 100 most viewed Rock Songs on UA-cam, it was a very interesting video, I never knew that this list was a thing lol, there was a f**k load of bands and songs I've never heard of, there was at least some bands that I've deffently heard of but never got round to listening to them (or more ike I just forgot to lol), there was at only a small hand full of bands on the list that I've deffently listened to eg like Paramore, Disturbed, Smash Mouth and Green Day.
At the time of this writing Numb has surpased November Rain with around 30 million more views. I'd also say that Linkin Park is the overal winner of the list with two songs in the top 5 and a total of 5 songs in the top 100. But I will admit that it's a bit crazy that Linkin Park's Castle of Glass, New Divide and What I've Done have more views compared to some of their earlier songs such as Crawling or Breaking the Habit.
For my personal taste the top3 with these songs would be in this order: 1 - November Rain. 2 - Smells Like Teen Spirit. 3 - Numb That being said... Linkin Park is my favorite band. In the End would easily be the top1 if it were in the place of Numb.
November Rain is due to the medium of video. Of the top 3, that November Rain video is one of the best ever made. The song is good too, but the video is epic with Slash on the piano.
Bei mir... 1. Smells like a teen spirit, 2. Numb, 3. Bohemian Rhapsody und Paradise City irgendwo auf dem 38. Platz!!! Man merkt doch schon, das UA-cam stark auf den US Markt ausgelegt war in der Anfangszeit. Deshalb haben Guns and Roses soviel Views. 🤷🏼♂️😉
Taking the top 5 in it's totality. If if were to organize it the way i like it. It would be, 5 Linkin park numb. 4 Linkin park in the end 3 Nirvana smells like teen spirit 2 Guns n Roses november rain. and 1 Queen bohemian rhapsody. This is based on what i consider the most important songs in that order of the songs in the top five. But I know it's not based on that. But this is my take.
9:53 ofc it is, november rain is a masterpiece! All the instruments involved, the lyrics, the story, the video and ofc slash's iconic guitar solo!
If not the top 1 guitar solo ever made, it is definitely on top 3
November Rain is in the top 2, for me, and it ain't at number 2@@PapelisCoC

2) GNR - November Rain
3) Linkin Park - Numb
I don't know if Queen had the most appearances on the top 100 list, but they had to be pretty close. So awesome.
As one that came of age in the 1980's for me number 1 will always and forever be Guns and Roses, "November Rain".
'
Despite being born in the early 80's I was never a huge Guns and Roses fan. Much rather AC/DC. That one came as a shock to me, too.
Biss, you have to do a reaction to no. 47 Extreme “More Than Words.” A beautiful song, their voices harmonize perfectly together.
This top again showed how much people in West love "snotly" music more. XDD
November rain by guns n roses really booming at that time... Many awards they got😊
Yeah that one ran on mtv in the nineties like crazy
The violin part of Bittersweet symphony was taken from the Rolling Stones song -The Last Time from 1965 which was taken from an old blues song.
I am 75 and I recognized both the band and song of 14 of the 50. Which is not surprising since I listen to little music after 1986.
1: Guns and Roses
2: Nirvana
3: Linkin Park
I'd recommend Gun n' Roses -patience and don't cry. And those are the only songs that Axle rarely screams.

It fits.
Mark my words, The Warning WILL be on this list, it's not a question of why, it's a question of when.
You've probably already been suggested these songs but here you go. The first song I knew of a few bars that would play this song as the last song of the night letting you know they were closing.
Semisonic - Closing Time
Journey - Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)
New Radicals - You Get What You Give
Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue
Santana - Maria Maria
Paramore - Misery Business
Those were mainly rock but if you want something else here are some 90s R&B & Hip Hop
K-Ci & JoJo - All My Life
TLC - No Scrubs
Fugees - Killing Me Softly With His Song
Blackstreet - No Diggity
Thanks for the suggestions ❤️
Don’t cry was always my favourite guns n roses song growing up, you should give it a listen, more somber and emotional than their most famous tracks
So people aren't allowed to have personal preferences?
@@CarlosHuiskens Have your own opinion, but the only thing that matters is NOT what others say, but what you yourself say. I say it's #1. I don't care if you disagree, cause it makes absolutely no difference to me in my life. If you like something else, go ahead and make a comment about it. That's what this space is for on UA-cam. I used it for my comment and I'm quite happy about it. 🤪
Just think how many of these songs you would have missed if you hadnt started this channel 2 years ago. 2nd anniversary in 2 days. Oh how time flies
Of course November Rain No.1,
Such a great melody, the best guitar solo melody ever, the build up.
Just a super masterpiece!!
This was so much fun Biss.
Biss, "Say it with me..." Us, Biss I can't roll my R's like that.🤣 Hard to believe it takes 1.3 BILLION+ views to get in the top 10. Also, I'm with you on the top 3. I think G&R at #1 is because it has been out for a LONG time.
Well, hete we go Biss.😁😁😁
Here is the list for the 2nd video of the songs I remember and enjoyed:
1.) Bryan Adams - Please Forgive Me
2.) Guns N' Roses - Paradise City
3.) Toto - Africa
4.) Survivor - Eye of the Tiger
5.) Hoobastank - The Reason
6.) No Doubt - Don't Speak
7.) Bon Jovi - Livin' on a Prayer
8.) The Police - Every Breath You Take
9.) Europe - The Final Countdown
10.) Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
11.) Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine
12.) Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
13.) Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Well, there it is (if you can't tell, I am old, so I have not heard a lot of new stuff/new age music).👍👍👍
I rather enjoy this type of content, please keep gping!!!💜💜💜
November rain is just a masterpiece :D Love your reactions!
And out of those 3 top options, I'd go with 1: Nirvana, 2: Linkin Park, 3: guns n roses. Had it been any other great song from Linkin Park, they'd be first. Maybe... Hit the floor?
1.Bohemian raphsody
2.November rain
3.Wind of change
Thanks for your pick ❤️
A childhood friend of mine is in the front row of the ‘Living on a Prayer’ video
November Rain it's what got me into learning to play guitar so... I can't be objective about it. It's my favorite song ever.
I may not agree with this list because there are songs missing, but you make me forget that. You are a beautiful sweetheart!
For my personal taste the top3 with these songs would be in this order: 1 - November Rain. 2 - Smells Like Teen Spirit. 3 - Numb
That being said... Linkin Park is my favorite band. In the End would easily be the top1 if it were in the place of Numb.
Thanks ❤️
Patience and Don't Cry are the two best songs Guns and Roses ever did.
November Rain is due to the medium of video. Of the top 3, that November Rain video is one of the best ever made. The song is good too, but the video is epic with Slash on the piano.
there are many songs left to react, nice songs BISS😘
Bei mir... 1. Smells like a teen spirit, 2. Numb, 3. Bohemian Rhapsody und Paradise City irgendwo auf dem 38. Platz!!! Man merkt doch schon, das UA-cam stark auf den US Markt ausgelegt war in der Anfangszeit. Deshalb haben Guns and Roses soviel Views. 🤷🏼♂️😉
As for now, these are the top views rock and metal songs in YT. Next years ranking will hit different. =)
I like when Biss goes into dance mode.......🙂
Hey Biss, liked your confusion at the end...
Numb > Smells Like Team Spirit > November Rain
Check this :D
Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know?
Arctic Monkeys - One For The Road
Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm
1. Pink Floyd 2.Iron Maiden 3. Metallica
I felt like just a chance to list down so many good songs, So good ,
Taking the top 5 in it's totality.
