My buddy used to own a fishing store. He hooked me up with some high end st. Croix rods and Daiwa reels. Really love those setups. After watching your video I might just have to take a peek at these other brands of rods. Useful information for sure.
Very informative, thanks! I have a St Croix triumph as well....awesome rod. Have you try out any JDM (Japan Domestic only} rods like Abu Garcia or the Major craft in ultralight? They are quite affordable and in price range as some TFO and even G. Loomis but more carbon content, better in the sensitivity department. I have a Major Craft and Abu mass beat serie rod and they are a blast to fish for panfish. Thanks again!

I just bought an ocea jigger from there SUPER cheap, and was looking at the rods! I haven't bought one of the rods yet but they look phenominal.... I'm def going to check out the major craft in ultra light I've never fished with those... I do like Abu Garcia rods and have fished with those, but always seem to gravitate towards the st Croix panfish series! I'm def gonna check out the major craft, though I love sorting out new fishing gear! Thanks so much for the shout out and suggestion! I really REALLY appreciate it! :)
Just ordered a TFO 764-1 from Amazon. I found out about these from Salt Strong, and was waiting for them to have stock again. Didn't know Amazon carried them for $10 more (but free shipping with Prime, so it all comes out even, probably), so thanks for the tip! My plan is to use this rod for inshore saltwater lure fishing, and also as a second bass and carp rod in the kayak. I take it from the 20% off you got that you are/were a Salt Strong member...

Yeah I love TFO rods... I own TFO surf rods, inshore rods, etc. The 7.6 mh is a great rod... and yes, I am a member of salt strong and the rod i discussed in the video was purchased through them. I really like those guys too. I live in the DC area, so I don't watch their UA-cam channel too much or use the community reporting page (although i should to be honest), but I love their tackle shop and use their weather and tides app ALL the time!!! That stuff they produced its worth it's weight in gold... plus they send me all sorts of free slam shady's hahaha really enjoy those guys! Glad to get to know a fellow member!!!! Basspro shops and Amazon do have some pretty good deals sometimes too... if your interested (not sure if the sale is still going on) but bass pro shop had a deal running for the Penn slammer iii for only 150 dollars.... normally 250 dollars... let me know if that helps Joe... thanks so much again for tuning in and for the comment.
