VIDEO CORRECTION PLEASE READ! So I've been informed that the fake verification bot cannot raid other servers! However, the bot still can join specific servers for you. The bot can only make you join a server if the fake verification bot is on the target server. What this means is that these scammers will add their fake verification bot to a server that they want to add more members to. Another thing is that these bots can re-add you to a server that you leave. So it's just extremely annoying. This also would mean that this scam has a pretty low chance of getting you banned compared to what was presented in the video. You can still get banned though. If the scammer makes you join a server and Discord takes down that server for botting, you could have your account taken down as well. This is why I tell people to leave the scam server because Discord loves catching people in the crossfire. I am sorry for the misinformation and I hope to improve the accuracy of the videos so that they are a better reference and educational tool.
Funny thing about the bot forcing you to join servers, found one once that would rejoin you to their server each time you left. Pretty freaky, also great content
I keep my allow direct messages from server members on and keep it on do not scan because I am always already pretty ready for anyone messaging me, I just don't click links and ask my friend if he actually sent that link before clicking it. I also keep my server dms on because sometimes people just wanna ask for help and I want to help them :D
Also: If they really hate you, they can make a server, turn it into a scam server, then make you the owner of it. When discord cracks down on the server, they only ban the owner. Really shady
Ok, I feel like I should correct you on a few things as i’ve been on discord since 2017, and i’m also a developer who’s also very familiar with how discord bots operate. 1. There are legit verification bots that require you to go to there own site and complete a captcha, and return back to discord. These type of verification bots are not the normal type though, they are usually there to restore you into server if it’s nuked. Now, this is similar to what these people are doing, except they are just abusing the TOS. Now, verification bots that actually restore members, are not against the TOS, as long as it’s specifically noted in the bots TOS, and in the message that they verify you, then everything will be fine. 2. No, that verification message is not a web hook. Sadly, early developer/verified bot developer accounts are quite cheap, and they own verified bots under them. They then just change the name. That is a verified bot with a new name. I hope I cleared some things up, have a great day!
theres no legit verification bots that require you to got to their own site, those bots are usually owned by data collection companies to farm data about discord users
I knew about stuff like this for quite a long time, i did a little test on an alt account to check how many servers stuff like this will get you to join, the answer is: there are so many that i reached the server limit pretty quickly, there's probably hundreds. Many of those have the verification things and a lot are also nitro scams, they tell you to join some servers to "claim your nitro", then you get messages with "giveaway" server invites from bots and some of those even do the same thing as the verification, it tells you to press a link so it can join servers for you. Some servers were also some 18+ things, really weird stuff. Although good news for people that did fall for this scam, my alt account didn't get deleted or anything, so the chance of your account being deleted is pretty low.
great video! "verified" marks dont show up on webhooks, even from verified bots. it will just say "bot" (not verified). MEE6 has a feature where you can make it say embedded messages in whatever channel you want
Thanks bro Because i was joining servers automatically and i was Thinking why it is happening And you solved it and i deautorized It and now I am ok thanks bro so much❣️🎊
It's hilarious how many ways there are to exploit Discord users. There must be over a hundred! That's what you get when you design a platform with so much bloat in it: applications, bots, bots having access to your account (wtf?), embeds, all these dumb fancy features. Want to make Discord more secure? Cut out all the features it has. Btw, great video, very interesting.
omg, this happened to me just last month. so basically, one of my friends got hacked, and he sent me a dm, and it was a normal "hey". he said he made a discord server and wanted me to join. These hackers were smart, it looked unfinished and little to no members were shown. I get a dm from "Mee6 Verification". I was skeptical because mee6 doesn't have verification... but it was my "friend" and they were normal they weren't acting strange. It didn't work so I dmed my "friend" and went to bed. The next morning... im in 2 nsfw servers that ping me 9999 times during the night. I instantly start to panic, had my account got hacked, had my account's token got stolen, had a bot got compromised??? I change my password and remove billing info, the usual but then I left to get, think it would be over. and boy was I wrong... I had gotten forced to join server after server until I finally delisted every single bot. What a hellish couple of days

@@Fr_g not my point, most people who fall for this would probably faint if you tell them their ip or location, they most definitely don’t know they can just reset it
A few days earlier I scanned a qr code for verifying myself in a discord server and my discord account was hacked and it sent every one of my friends an invite link to an adult discord server where you also have to scan a qr code to verify yourself. Lesson well learned. I'm never scanning a qr code to verify myself ever again.
One time I fell for a discord nitro scam by this giveaway bot in my dms (already a big no-no), And I didn’t even read the things he can do on your account when you authorize ( why didnt i read them 🤦♂️🤦♂️), but anyways, i was joining random servers without me even joining them, next day discord banned me for a day, for joining servers faster than humanly possible (literally what they told me), now thanks to this guy i wont be falling for this no more. 😅😂
Some bots do make you click on links to verify (such as doublecounter) The reason they do this is because they read your IP, so that they know your not an alt account (Double counter bot creators can not check your IP) (Not sure about other bots tho)
Hello No text to speech, the owners of the server are some of my friends, i used to scam just like them but stopped since it was a waste of time. The AltDentifier bot actually does make you go to their website to verify. But it DMs you, so the message can't be faked by the server owner (otherwise the link would be sent in the server itself). Edit: The last part is wrong; apparently some verified bot devs are dumb enough to let you tell the bot to DM users custom messages.

I'm guessing ProBot has some sort of action that you can set in an admin panel for when users join to DM them something.

something very funny is that the link they send you to is a real website that allows you to code online, if you report the repl it'll get taken down really fast
2:38 Wow, they used Replit, which is a service (not limited to just Discord bots, you can code anything there) and the scammer was using it. I just uploaded something there.
If this has happened to you. Reset your password ASAP! They get your discord token and they can login to your account. When you reset your password the token will reset as well and the hackers can’t login anymore. Discord has said this them selves. I hope this helps y’all.
Bots can't raid random servers, the bot needs to have invite permissions on any server it wants to force users to join.
