    I saw both Octopussy and Never Say Never Again in 1983. Both movies had gorgeous looking women and both had nice songs. It was a nice treat for Bond fans to see two great movies in a span of 5 months.

      Isn't it ironic? 2(!) Bond films in 1983 alone! But nowadays we have to wait 4 or 6 years for one movie! Pathetic...

      @jamiegagg3974 Moore and Connery were good friends of that generation. The media whipped it up into some kind of titanic battle between the two stars, but actually they just discussed who wanted to do which film. Connery didn't want to work with cubby again

    "Well, to be perfectly honest...there WAS this girl in Philadelphia..." Okay, this was a good but definitely not the best Bond movie, but man, there were some great James Bond one-liners in it.

      +grayfoxfive That I really have to agree with! Actually I totally almost (hehe) forgot I ever uploaded this... good old times man. Bond's multiple liners there were quickly interrupted with "LIAR, SHUT UP & WRITE!!!!" by Fatima Blush :-)
      The overal humor was greater in this bond movie than most others too. Although others may have been better I always loved this underrated bond movie as one of the best! Remember the part in the local gym and he got into a fight with that oversized heavyweight muscle-man!? "Heavy Mr. Bond!?" Gtggehgbehgbggrrrrr.... hehehe.

      She’s the most entertaining actor in this film by far, always chewing the scenery, having a ball and just hamming it up, and also being drop-dead gorgeous yet seductive cunning and completely venomous a real proto-Onatopp in verve & vigour. Love Barbara Carrera in this movie, its radiant how much fun she’s having making the film, and she makes one of the most memorable Bond henchmen/villains for it. After she dies its all downhill.

    Sean Connery says he'll never make another James Bond movie, and maybe I believe him. But the fact that he made this one, so many years later, is one of those small show-business miracles that never happen. There was never a Beatles reunion. Bob Dylan and Joan Baez don't appear on the same stage anymore. But here, by God, is Sean Connery as Sir James Bond. Good work, 007. - Roger Ebert.

    kudos to the stunt performers . seeing as the car is french i would say remy jullienne is the car driver as he did in most bonds of this era , i don't know who the motorcyclist was . could be one of many stunt men

    Fabulous action sequence! One of the best, in one of the best Bond films. Loved it! And Sean Connery looked great!
    This film contained terrific action scenes. All a vast improvement over Connery’s previous outing, which included: drowning an enemy in mud, getting outsmarted by stereotypical gay killers, a stupid car chase through Vegas, and getting tossed around by two Amazons!

    Ugh. The music is so damn horrible. I heard the film was going to be re-scored for a special laserdisc edition that never came to be.

    • @kuribayashi84
      @kuribayashi84 7 років тому +3

      Yeah, replace most of the music and give this Film a proper Gunbarrel-Opening and a title sequence for the song and it would be much better.
      edit: and replace the Lani Hall-Song with the unused one performed by Phyllis Hyman. I like that one much more.

    • @ricardocantoral7672
      @ricardocantoral7672 7 років тому

      Schwatvogel The Hyman song is better but I was never too crazy about it. In general, 1983 was not a good year for Bond songs. All Time High is among the worst Bond songs ever.

    • @kuribayashi84
      @kuribayashi84 7 років тому

      Of the three songs, the one by Hyman is the only one that actually sounds like a real Bond-Song. Probably not one of the best, but better than either the Lani Hall-one or 'All time High'

      Pity, this film desperately needs rescoring - some of Marvin Hamlisch's The spy who loved me score would have suited this film - less disco as this wouldve been 1983 , but some of more thrilling action packed segments of that earlier bond film.

    Michel Legrand played it like it's another version of The Thomas Crown Affair, which is why the scene felt so wrong.
    And as for Barbara Carrera, she's overhamming as Fatima. Not elegant as Luciana Paluzzi's Fiona Volpe.
