      Thanks always my friend! Did you know you can also do this on your A1? Performance will be a little worse, but it's possible!

    Did you try fluid motion frames with spacewarp from VD? On top of each other I bet the performance is insane.

      Unfortunately I did not for this video; I tried AFMF on my desktop a few months back and wasn't impressed with the performance, but you've inspired me to try again! I'll probably go ahead and do then and report on a later FG/AFMF video. Thanks for your comment!

      OOH, do let me know how that works out! I'm wondering how well it'll work with an index that also needs to communicate with the base stations. Thanks so much for your comment and kind words!

    Nice video! I too tried to use my Go + Virtual Desktop + Pico/Quest but everytime I connect to the Go my resolution is super low that the view is pretty pixelated. DId you experience this too or have an idea how to fix it? On my gaming laptop everything is sharp and I use same VD settings on both!

      Thanks so much for your detailed comment!
      I did initially have some really grainy textures (mostly in the Steam Home environment) but this was largely due to that double wi-fi connection I believe. When I moved the Go closer to my router, and then I was also closer to my Go, I was able to capture the footage in the video. I'm guessing if you use a USB-C hub with ethernet port you should have much better success, alternatively there may be some settings in Virtual Desktop that aren't playing nice.
      Do you know what quality settings, bandwidth, and if SSW is on in VD?

    • @gamers-generation
      @gamers-generation  Місяць тому +1

      Hi there, thanks so much for your kind words! I'll be honest, I didn't know ETS2 had a VR mode (I had to look it up). Based on the specs, I'd assume it should run pretty decently since the Go is basically above recommended specs, even though VR is often more demanding.

    Do you think a rift s would work?

    • @gamers-generation
      @gamers-generation  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for your question! Unfortunately I don't have a Rift S so I can't confirm, but I would assume it COULD work, as long as you have some adapters or hubs to bridge between the headset and the handheld, since only some handhelds (usually the Chinese ones) have USB-A ports on them.

    Ill be honest. Only reason i was curious if the legion go could handle the quest 2 is to use the quest 2 like a second screen instead of buying the legion glasses.

    • @gamers-generation
      @gamers-generation  3 місяці тому

      @ProjectFraz So technically it can do that, either using steam link or virtual desktop, but you'd still need a keyboard because typing would be painful. Unfortunately I no longer own a Quest 2 so I can't test if new spatial features are available.
      But the glasses are a different use case. I don't have the Legion Glasses but check out my other XE glasses reviews as the Legion Glasses use the same display technology and what you want might be more in line with Viture's desktop app.

      @@gamers-generation honestly the same titles. I’m currently gaming on a 2018 or so MacBook Pro running Bootcamp with an RX580 eGPU - it’s spotty at best with VR and I want to know if titles like Half-Life Alyx and Legendary Tales can work well with a legion go and a moderate/older GPU. I like the idea of having a single system I can take with me and play handheld. Then slap on a dock for actual VR grunt while at home.

    • @gamers-generation
      @gamers-generation  6 місяців тому

      @@jefgirdler7232 Ahhh I got you, so you're running through TB3/TB4 enclosure I assume? So I published a video (has no views hahahha) ua-cam.com/video/6ua3clJyprQ/v-deo.html
      Which shows the ROG Ally with the proprietary eGPU, and HL:Alyx worked quite well as well as the other titles I tried out. Now there will be some tradeoffs with USB4 bandwidth limitations and the Go, but thankfully the Go isn't your only handheld option (it really does do it all though)!

    I am using a quest 2. I have an rog ally and was able to run rumble vr on 40-60fps. Now, I seem the have trouble running the oculus software past the amd card. It detects it and says the graphics card is unable to run vr but I know it can very well. Is there a way to get past this?

    • @gamers-generation
      @gamers-generation  9 місяців тому

      Thanks for your comment! Just to clarify, do you mean the Oculus desktop app? Unless you're specifically playing games from that storefront/app, you don't need to use that app. As in, you should be able to play your SteamVR games without it installed through either SteamLink (on the Quest) or Virtudal Desktop, on the ROG Ally.
      Have you updated your Ally drivers or tried force updating the drivers?
