excellent video, updating of drivers and bios are very well explained unlike in other videos. could you also make same for rog ally, it's currently projected so complicated to download and how to graphics and bios part. Most people get so confused and they don't update or dont buy the device itself.

That is awesome!!!! I take finding out the little details about a device seriously, so I’m glad you enjoyed it! Edit: there is a dinput mode that would work as a generic gamepad too! It’s legion button and Y I think, but its use case is much more limited.

I just bought Legion go this week. Any tips to make this run smooth? I have come from a console and need to get use to it otherwise I will be selling it. The battery is draining fast and I need to know how to install and update drivers. Also which are the best free pc games to download? Wish somebody would just do a basic run through of best settings for beginners on handheld and pc gaming. Such as optimised performance and enjoying the experience of playing games!

The one on the website? Yeah, I took this video a while ago so there is a January one out. They are also working on the fluid frame driver too so we should have another at some point soon
Has the battery life improved since launch? The last time i used one it was drawing nearly 8 watts average while idle; which is insane for such a small device. For reference a 15.6" samsung galaxy book 2 pro with an oled display and an intel 12th gen cpu sips 4 watts average at idle.
Are you referring to the website? If so the website has some drop down thing which makes it look like there is two rows with drivers but it’s really just the one
Is there a way to disable the L legion button launching/switching to legion space but still retain the shortcut key on the R legion button? I want to primarily use steam big picture mode however I like the integrated shortcut menu.

Disregard what he said in the video. Performance mode is going to give your gpu more power resulting in higher fps in most games. If you want some extra performance in demanding games at the cost of battery life you can select "custom" and set the tdp to 30 watts. If you do play at 30 I would recommend doing so plugged in.
I’m disappointed there’s no quick screenshot while playing a game. Don’t understand how to bring Xbox Bar up like on PC. And my Xbox controller has a snapshot button. 😢

hi i need help i just bought the legion go but in some games such as borderlands 2 im having like a Chaos in inputs if i press any thing like i pressed another button or the stick function differently
Power saving, I know it’s counter intuitive but it means more power to CPU and gpu! I run a modified power saving plan on mine that shaves off a little more power usage while maximizing fps
Don’t forget to tell people if they dont want the keyboard to pop up when pressing the L stick to go to steam and controller template and pick gamepad I had issue while playing a game and clicking it would bring the keyboard

I’m noticing i can download the drivers directly from the legion app in the GO. Is this the updated way to download the drivers? @@selectaguru these are the drivers Lenovo puts out based on AMD drivers. The Z1 extreme drivers need to be published by the manufacturer, but it’s possible to use the laptop version of the driver by side loading. You don’t need to do this though unless you have niche use cases. You can keep the tdp high if you are going to keep it plugged in. I like the power saving mode (the one showed in this video), seems to give a bit better fps!
Hi I’m trying to download the drivers manual and when I try to open the file it says the app you’re trying to install isn’t a Microsoft verified app 🤷♂️
Oh yeah I’ve run into that before, hang on I’ll post you a guide to fix that, it’s some security setting that makes you only able to download apps from Microsoft store
I'm loving my new legion go but there is one problem that I have to return it because of the right controller light suddenly broke after 3 days. I was hopeful it can be fix with simple recalibration but unfortunately its hardware defect which I read from other users via Reddit too.
After windows boots up are you getting the sound of something is being connected or disconnected from a usb port. For some reason I always gets those sounds right before I enter my pass code.
Im sorry but the tdp remark is very misleading. Power saving mode does not increase game performance. Higher tdp is almost always going to result in more performance up to the max of 30 watts. Os power mode however should be kept on efficiency for most gaming scenarios.
legion go should come out with a protection for the controller when they are detach kind like switch where you can slide something to cover. Hopefully someone comes out with it

@@switchunboxingsure! A cheap hub lets you plug in a charger, usb accessories, and an hdmi cable. Then it becomes a one cable solution for charging, usb stuff, and tv!

Hi I use some emulators for old games on my legion Go. I was wondering I don't like using the sticks I like using the control pad, I guess I'm old school .. do you know is it possible to switch using the control pad instead of the left knob for my movement up down left right? Thank you 0:17

I have a wireless xbox controller, how do I connect it. I've tried but the joycons on the legion go keep showing as active. I knw on my onexplayer you had to put it in desktop mode. Thanks

Hi there, I'm having this weird issue where the Go somehow syncs with my PC. I signed in using my Microsoft account when setting up the Go but explicitly stated that this is a new "PC". However, the Go's desktop now matches my PC's (it has all the clutter). Worse, it is synced, so any file I delete on the Go deletes it off my PC! How do I go about fixing this? Thanks in advance!
@@fitzgeraldlimisella4393 hey! This is a one drive sync thing… go check out your one drive settings and disable syncing stuff. Then only the stuff you copy and paste into the one drive folder will save there
@@fitzgeraldlimisella4393 menu and view button are for games. It’s the start and back button on the Xbox one controller. You can swap those with the Legion left and Legion right button in the Legion space app.

hey i got the legion go. some games for epic games i cant play. the right joy con is being a mouse. it is like this outside of games at well. its on at all times , yes fps is off. cant find any info on this. is there a way to stop the joy con from being a mouse while its connected? i dont care if its a mouse not connected and fps is on. the issue is its connected and being a mouse. even fi u disable the mouse pad this dosent affect the joy con in anyway. what do i do to turn this off?

Whenever I use the power saving mode my frames gets low but battery time gets better. Why does it work the opposite for you?

Go to settings -> Apps (on the left hand bar) -> advanced app settings -> there is a drop down that says “chose where to get apps” and select anywhere

Usb c hub! There are plenty of cheap options but the one I’m rocking is the JSAUX Omni case 2 pro with the magnetic steam deck stand

However, the Go's desktop now matches my PC's (it has all the clutter). Worse, it is synced, so any file I delete on the Go deletes it off my PC! How do I go about fixing this?

@@fitzgeraldlimisella4393 hey! This is a one drive sync thing… go check out your one drive settings and disable syncing stuff. Then only the stuff you copy and paste into the one drive folder will save there

@@fitzgeraldlimisella4393 menu and view button are for games. It’s the start and back button on the Xbox one controller. You can swap those with the Legion left and Legion right button in the Legion space app.
@@HandheldHardware ah I've been wondering about how to get that screen on your 1:53 mark. I thought you get that by pressing the Menu button, didn't realise it is just Legion Space. Mine looks totally different due to updates lol.. Well thanks again.. Again :)
hey i got the legion go. some games for epic games i cant play. the right joy con is being a mouse. it is like this outside of games at well. its on at all times , yes fps is off. cant find any info on this. is there a way to stop the joy con from being a mouse while its connected? i dont care if its a mouse not connected and fps is on. the issue is its connected and being a mouse. even fi u disable the mouse pad this dosent affect the joy con in anyway. what do i do to turn this off?
