Nice vid I. Don't like 22 either but I've seen others get good stuff with 22 here I rual nc its lucky to find silver found a few and couple gold rings but I luv dectecting and my 800

All you have to do is hold the power button to factory reset. What do indian head pennies ring in as? I think they hit lower than regular pennies. Good video though. If it works for you and you like it that is all that matters. Good luck out there.
On those flat cans on 22, maybe raise the coil as you swing it and if it still rings clear at at about a foot+ from the ground, not a penny. Also press the pinpoint button and check the size of the object. A coin will be a shorter signal compared to a flat can. Some Indian Head pennies ring up in the zinc range. I know how we all hate digging up those crusty, deteriorating waste of time coins, but if we disc them out, we miss out on IHP's. You say a new penny on your video. I'm guessing it's a zinc penny. I'm new at this, but I have a guy that lost a 20 thousand dollar gold ring on the side of a road 15 years ago. What settings should I use to find this ring, and eliminating trash? I have an Equinox 600.
For 14 karat gold should be about 18

@@wiggymccrackin8240 If you are on FB, there is a Equinox 800 and 600 group. I asked them they had many numbers. If there is a small jewelry store in you area. Ask them if they have a 24K men's ring, (If they aren't busy) tell them you have a metal detector and you would like to see what number the ring would show on your detector. All they can say is, "No". You might explain what you are trying to find.
That would be the 20k setting:)

When you do a factory reset, do you have to reload your update?
No, the Update will still be there. You have to hook up your computer if you you want to go back to a previous version using Minelab software
Rich, I really like your settings and have copied them on my Eq 600 but members of a forum I belong to posed a criticism saying that the high level of discrimination will suppress good targets (silver coins) which may be located near the notched out zones! Have you experienced this? Would really like your views on this. Cheers

Have you tested this with some older coins? The numbers may be off? If that is the case you would only be digging modern clad coins.

@@RichRodgersOnline I can see this coming in handy if say your at a park or tot lot and you keep hitting on pull tabs at a certain number. you could go in and notch that number out. I like that idea. I've been researching the nox and I think I'm going to get one to replace my tesoro deleon.
This will cause you to miss older silver and deeper coins as their vdis are different in ground and at depth than they are in an air test

Hey do you have trouble with your pinpointer on your 600
You will miss a lot of gold rings with that discrimination
also silver coins
So what setting is the best for rings and gold
but you rejected the Indian cent and 3 cent silver and I think the 3 cent nickel.
I mean by it being way off from the item
You just hold the power button to reset the 800 and 600 you don't not need to hold both
