Fabricate the gate with a longer bottom rail (that the rack teeth will bolt to). Dig out the other end of the trunch to accommodate the gate in the open position if needed
Good morning Kenny, I have seen auto gates that use a rack/pinion system have the rack part extend out from the back of the gate by up to 40cm in order to have the motor (containing the pinion) recessed back from the driveway. Just a thought for you if you have the spare room at the end of the track.
Good morning Kenny, it's coming along nicely. For the gate, if you need the motor adjacent to the end of the fence can you extend the bottom half (below the fence height) far enough to catch the motor? Just a thought. Good to see the rains coming, for us it will help settle the dirt we trucked in last Christmas.
If you have not already got the gate organized, just get a longer "teeth section" sticking out to the motor ... or just make the whole gate wider. Your situation is not unusual, your gate guys should have done this many times before. You are way ahead of us now, first tiles went down in the bathroom yesterday, just started the ceiling today. I'm getting a bit fed up with all the delays because I know the builder has other jobs on the go at the same time.
Its the external gear spindle that opens and closes the gate right....so as long as you have the tooth bars in the right place you can open or close from any distance ...for some gates they just have an extra tooth bar extended off the end of the actual gate design so you can get that extra reach....you may have to order an extra one of pre-fab it....for you to do that you'll need to punch a hole in that very end part of where the gate backs up to account for the extension...and yeah...everyone already said this...lol...I'm sure you'll handle it!
The rack on the gate, if due to the position of the drive motor is back the rack would be a longer piece of steel on the gate so if, closed is say 1 meter added to the gate
You're running your house exclusively on your well right? I'm talking to a guy in CM that said he needed to go 85m deep and with all supplies included it came to 300k baht. What were your specs again and price? I remember way back when you told me but it didn't think it was so deep and pricey. Curious because I'm going to be making a well eventually and it may have to be deep too.
We drilled a 6" hole. Could have done 4-5 or 6. Smaller bores are cheaper, but i wanted a larger reservoir underground. Drilled 54m down. Our guy charged a flat rate to drill no matter how deep, then charged by the meter for the casing. Our casing was 12m, as far as he could push it down. Flat rate was 15000, plus 1000 for the casing. He guarenteed water for one year. Drill it deeper if needed.i have a video scheduled for the 20th that walks through everything above ground.
@@ParadiseNThailand 15,000 baht for a 54 meters? I seem to remember this now. We talked to one guy that said about 1000 baht per meter. I don't know how that guy got a 300k bill but yours seems way too cheap! I'm more confused now than ever. :)
Paradise is looking damn good. Another week and the green will be perfect!
Lol, thanks. Looking forward to the end!
Thanks Brandon!

Looks like your concrete work will finish before the big rains!
The night they left we had a big storm come through. I just smiled!
@@ParadiseNThailand Your smile muscles are for sure out of shape.🤣
They do a great job on the tiling
Agree 100%, i got lucky!

I had the tile guy wxtend the mounting are, so i think we are ok now.

Very nice. Love the tile. Enjoy your day.
Thank Steven, the guy is good. Lucky for me!
The auto gates I've seen have a small section on the back of the gate and that is lower than the gate the motor is connected to that section.
I had the tile guy extend the mounting area, so i think im ok now. I will buy the drive unit then build tha gate to fit it.
Good Morning Guys
Morning Dave. Sent you a question on Line. Take a look when you get bored!
Hi. How does a gutter installed on a flat roof work? Can you show in the next episode what it looks like from a bird's eye view. Have a nice day
Not flat. 3% slope. I dint have a ladder or a drone. But if i get the chance to get up there i will. Thank you for watching and commenting.
@10.42 I see you still have bird problems in this video.
You beat me to it!
In a coming video you will hear the end game for that guy!
morning guys
