    On the controller that he is testing, high and low brake do not engage regenerative braking. They just cut the motor power. But on some controllers low brake engages regenerate and high brake engages battery powered braking (which uses battery power to reverse the motor). There may be tabs on the circuit board of the above controller - ABS, EBS when grounded that will engage regen or high braking- or bridging DS and X may engage regen (low)braking. It is hard to tell the difference with the motor on the bench as there is not enough momentum to see the difference between power cutoff, low braking and high braking.

    • @EVCustoms
      @EVCustoms  2 роки тому +3

      Correct.. video with EBS breaking will be on next video of Learning board, this video is only for High and Low brake...

      @@EVCustoms Does regenerative breaking is different from electronic breaking. From my hover scooter, I can see that when I press the break lever, I can feel huge breaking force coming from motor, I believe its electronic breaking. I am very sure my mechanical breaks not playing any roll here, as I have disconnected those mechanical friction breaks completely. As per the spec given by Hover, my scooter dont have regenerative breaking. So, I am curious to know does regenerative breaking and electronic breaking are two different things, for these controllers.

    You should find a way to mass produce your E-bike Mother Boards for Testing connections. To be able to take the parts and test what they know about the assembly is worth paying for. The Mother Board is an easy build that will ship well and save lives at the same time. Mother Board / Test board.... Same thing. This has huge potential. Too many people are making Home Made e-bikes and they don't know what they've got until it fails, or even worse. A good Testing Mother Board would keep us all safe. The big problem would be that people buy the wheels all ready spoked to the rim. A Stand for the Motor that's Vertical would need to be included or offered as an accessory. You could take an entire wheel with tires and do diagnostics with a simple heavy duty stand.
    Just something to think about. Love all your videos. Thanks for all that you do. You gave us all a gift.

    Hello, I bought an Esc that comes with accelerator pedal. It’s rated max 36 volts. I connected it to a 30volts lipo battery and connected two 775 motors. The accelerator works fine if I press it, but after a while it stops. The only way to make it work, is by turn off the ignition, and turning it on again while pressing the pedal just a little bit; like this works every time. I can’t figure out what the problem might be. I uploaded a video on Reddit if you want to see it.

    • @EVCustoms
      @EVCustoms  24 дні тому +1

      Break leavers with 3 wires need 5 volt power because they have magnetic sensor inside and they need power, So when you have three wires on your brake leaver, on red and black wires you must apply 5V power and from the white wire you will have signal output...

    you can also use the low brake for brake light, low brake use negative and high brake use positive.

    • @EVCustoms
      @EVCustoms  2 роки тому

      Yes you can do that only with isolated 5V signals like i said in the video, if you do that on controller with non isolated signals you will burn your controller, on this controllers if you measure signal with the positive wire for example 48V battery you will see high voltage about 43V, and if you pull your brake you will send this voltage direct to your MCU microcontroller.

I had a round 6-pin connector on it, which I cut off and there were 6 cables in it: red, blue, black, green, yellow and white. 1. The white cable is for the positive input (B), which I connected to the only 5 pin plug on the controller to a speed controller set with 48V to + 54.6V, 2. the blue cable (electric door lock) to the controller Switch on controller, 3. black (GND) on -, 4. on red (RX) 5. yellow (TX) and ! 6. a green cable (Hall Voltage)! All display cables! OK. I have white + blue controller switch on, black - and then green and yellow on the controller plug. There is an NFC card with 3 chips on the display that unlocks the display. Ok then I have the 6th cable Green cable on the display with 0.999V output the description says (Hall Voltage)! I extended the green cable and plugged it into the white 3-pin gas connector on the controller. And everything works and also day index finger gas with WLAN Signsl on it. Because the gas that was included is just a round 9 pin connector that is plugged together with the VSETT display and now the gas also works but in 1,2 and 3. Gsng alke 3 gears only full throttle and not alke 20 P settings with error 10! But I didn't connect the red from the display (RX) and yellow from the display (TX) with the yellow and green RX and TX cables from the controller 5-pin connector because if I do that, nothing works! And on the display for RX and TX there is a 4.5V output and 1x 3V - 3.3V output. What can I do to get the speedometer running? Please help! PLEASE!! You are a professional and the best on UA-cam!! Finally, I plugged the green display cable (Hall Voltage) into the 3-pin gas signal cable on the controller. And now the index finger gas that came with the display also works with a WiFi signal that always changes the colors all the time. That was a 9-pin round connector that was plugged together with the 9-pin round connector from the VSETT display. But is that true with the white 6th cable (Hall Voltage) it says and you have exactly 0.999V from the display output. And I simply plugged this almost 1 volt cable from the display output with the (Hall Voltage) label into the controller 3 pin gas signal cable and the gas that was included works! But the speedometer and kmh don't work when I give it full throttle! That has to be 50kmh and the engine is running at full throttle! But do I have to use the green cable from the display with the designation (Hall Voltage) and the US a 6th cable! But I don't have the 5-pin display connector on the controller. Is it true the way I did it: I measured the green display cable (Hall Voltage) with a multimeter and detected an output of DC 0.999V. Is that correct as I did it and plugged this (Hall Voltage) cable from the new large (VSETT display) into the 3-pin gas connector on the signal line? This means that the index finger gas now works, but without a round display, only the index finger gas lever with 2 arrows up and down underneath for the menu! Or do I have to connect the Hall voltage cable from the display somewhere else to a Hall sensor somewhere else? So that the kmh display works because I can go full throttle in all 3 gears, it's just full throttle but the kmh doesn't go up on the new VSETT display! And on the display the RX cable has an output of 4.5V -5V and the TX cable from the display has a 3-3.3V output! Is the volt output of RX + TX 3.3V and 4.5-5V normal?? Please help the speedometer work. Is it correct that the Hall voltage cable on the display with 0.999V output is measured and plugged into the 3-pin gas plug to the white signal cable? Or where do I have to connect it so that the speedometer works so that the kmh goes up. Because now when you accelerate, the speedometer remains at 0kmh. Please just do the Knh that runs up the kmh on the new large VSETT display. PLEASE can you help me, Mr. Professional? Kind regards 🙂

    my controller states "low brake" on the label but the brake cut off connector is 3 pin, so are only 2 pins being used?

    I just inherited a scooter and the brake wires are disconnected and hanging. Scooter works fine except no brakes. I have tried connecting the 3 cables all sorts of way. At one point the brake worked but the ride was very juddery. The thumb brake has three cables hanging red, black, yellow and there are 3 cables hanging from the handle bar red, black, green....Any help would be much appreciated. The scooter is a Schwinn eco

    Excellent video my friend!! Super useful! Is there a way to replace the low or high brake level with a switch? Maybe we could save room in the bike?
