'Contusion' was written during live shows in the early 70s by the band. So impressive, several years later it was placed on Stevie's Magnum Opus, Songs In The Key Of Life!
Amazing live performance. Like how the guitarist changes his mind and turns off the Mutron effect at 14:19 and Mike Sembello loses his place on the Arp 2600 synth at 14:40 but manages to pick it up again!

Merci beaucoup….. for the extra info : ) Yep spotted Niecy, I think another member of Wonderlove’s backing vocalist’s was Shirley Brewer, years later her daughter Kimberly became one of Stevie’s backing singers.
I would be willing to bet that when the album was released his record company chose to play it safe by toning down what he " really "wanted to say....at the end of the day its his song and he can alter it any way he chooses.
@@mauricebrock4233 true, but that makes me wonder why. especially since Living For The City's city skit (from the longer version) says the N word, and not to mention that one song from music of my mind.
Any 70s stevie footage is golden treasure
Man. All In Love Is Fair is such a gorgeous song.

Thank you! Do you have by any chance a performance of Visions from this era? I can't seem to find one.
There is a live version from 74’ on spotify. Havent seen any film footage of it though 🤷🏻♂️
There is video footage of Stevie performing the song "Visions" from this era. it is the 1974 Musikladen show.
If I’m not mistaken there is a 9 minute live version of Visions for the Rainbow Theater concert from ‘74
