      meshuggah has the ability to either make me energetic as hell, or fall asleep. it’s really interesting actually, i think it’s because while it is incredibly heavy, the rhythms are really mesmerizing and almost trance inducing. pretty cool stuff

    There’s something trance-like about that continuous riff throughout the song and the marriage it has with the drumming. I could just have that riff and drums playing in the background my entire day and I’d be happy.

    It's not just 'heaviest', this is one of the most evil songs I've ever heard.
    Metal is often too over-the-top to capture the menace and terror of real evil, but Meshuggah (especially their most recent output) captures it so well.

    This may sound cliché, but go see these guys live. It has been 3 years since I saw them live playing this as the last song of the set and I'm still blown away at what they can make you feel. It's been said over and over, but the wall of sound that hits you is real, you don't listen with your ears but with your chest, it's the best I can describe it, it is f-ing unbelievable. I may attend better or worse concerts in my life, but Meshuggah will always be on a category of its own. OMFG.

    One my favourite Meshuggah tracks, so surreal, trancey, energetic, happy and calming, all at the same time. At one concert, it sent me into a happy berserker state, tears streaming down my face.       Akhamesh I'm sorry, "Dark are the veils of death" is just not heavy enough. Omega Massif's "Aura" has a very discernable riff, however, it doesn't have a vocalist to ruin it's heaviness. And it was recorded in something that wasn't a garage. It metaphorically takes color away from your perception of the world and makes it hard for you to breathe.

      @@pancadeusus9227 I won't deny it. I always had a feeling that this song is about black hole, and you can observe similarity in the color spectrum used in this song and the color of the black hole we saw in the footage (they are quite different, but there are similarities)

      I like it sped up but if coarse the original in the truth. This might be my favorite song of all time and gays saying a lot. I listen to every genre and I love knowing all the artists h that appeal to me and histories of music and i love that a band that plays metal,the stuff that raised me, is still the best and most masterful band out there.

    deadass, no joke, while listening to this song, i was in such a trance that when i got out of it, the air felt so heavy and i could barely breathe like i was up in the mountains (im in florida). no joke. this song made it hard for me to BREATHE.

    i have followed Meshuggah quite a while now, and to me major credit and props needs to be given to these guitarist's and bass, to keep these off beat rhythm's and keep in time is just amazing to me. so freaking down tuned and heavy.
