Incredible! This Meshuggah level of music is One Of A kind, with capitals. Hundreds of bands have tried to copy their style without being able to capture the Real Essence. Pure Genuineness.

@@reezlaw Same, singles didn't do much to me either, although I liked the sound. But I was very pleasantly surprised how atmospheric the whole album was - very reminiscent of "Catch 33" and, oddly enough, of Morbid Angel's "Gateways to Annihilation". Superheavy, dark, warm and cozy :^)
I set this as my alarm through Spotify. There's a small delay between the vibration and the song itself and everytime I hear the phone vibrate I rockeт out of bed to turn it off before I bring the building down. 10/10 sleep conditioning

No disrespect to any other metal bands because I love them all, but this is by far my favorite metal album. Period. Ligature Marks is my favorite so far. So many other bands struggle to maintain their initial sound. Meshuggah succeeds where others simply cannot. What an amazing video too. Love these guys.
Ik there two different genres but what about korn, there new album was amazing imo, it was pretty surreal looking back on there old music and then hearing the new musics evolution
@@DisLikedLoverOnTheMoon15 Why on earth would you put MESHUGGAH and Korn on the same conversation
Hey, they aren’t on the same level as Meshuggah, but Korn is also a really good band
Seen them for the first time in Dublin Ireland a couple of days ago.... they're So much heavier live...one of the best shows i was ever at...they opened with broken cog....I absolutely love them.
Was there losing my shit in the best way
Opened with Broken Cog at the show I went to. It was unreal.
Song is so fucking good, love atmospheric meshuggah
Same... more ominous sound to me than outright heavy meshugga, somehow makes it scarier
Agreed. I'd love to hear them do more of this style. Fukin monstrous!!

Hundreds of bands try - but no one, literally NO ONE. Does it - Like MESHUGGAH!
I like my sound being similar. I wouldn't want to copy meshuggah. They are their own. Just as much as I want to be my own.
@@therichardnogginproject9012 Exactly that, there are FANTASTIC bands who are influenced but have their own sounds

I've been avoiding listening to the advance tracks they put out beyond a cursory listen to bits and pieces. You really need to listen to a full album front to back to get the big picture.Took the day off from work so I can buy the album and immerse myself in the great world of Meshuggah.Been a long wait for new material.
And man was it worth the wait
Dude I was having the same issue with the newest deftones album. I'm a huge deftones fan they're like my 3rd favorite band ever behind meshuggah and fear factory, but the deftones release in my opinion were kinda weak songs. Then after listening to the entire album thr singles released made way more sense and it became my favorite deftones album. Hoping that happens here for meshuggah
I didn't listen to anything prior the final release! What a experience!
i listened to the whole thing on repeat today without looking at tracks. It all flows really well and it was hard forr me to recognize where in the album i was until this song came back. enjoying it a ton
It’s a great album love it
I've just seen them live in France 2 hours ago.. Damn what a band
That breakdown in the middle certainly made my eyes tear up. So beautifully rhythmic!
Dude I started shaking, I almost couldn't contain myself. Such a fucking sick breakdown.
Dude I know. Was blasting it on my stereo and was getting all teary and intense. Amazing track in general
They know just where to put the break down for maximum impact, it's brutal
😭😭😭❤❤❤
I love this album. Fucking insane rhythms.
I agree!!! I was worrying the last 2 days that it was going to be a letdown because what people were saying, but thankfully my gut was right all along! Flawless album 🔥 this by the way is my favourite track.

Inside. Watching the core
of whatever we had left of our lives
The multiplications divide
We drink to quench the thirst to come
With the bones that we left the trap was sprung
Blind ancient and malevolent. Cosmos divides
The truth is we never ever had truth in sight
We spat on this purpose
We ate of whatever was left
The chasm beneath us will open and swallow the rest
Me the broken cog
You seem to not have understood
Knives out. Strings set in motion
You act like you’re surprised
Pre-emptive strike. Ruin. Chaos. Focus

I love you :)
Yes!!!!!
Would love to hear it, but fuck apple music.
Thank you!
I dig the visuals, I don’t think Meshuggha is capable of writing a bad song. They all kick major ass.🤘🔥
A quick read through the comments and I can tell everyone is floating on the same wave of emotion that ties us all together. Volume at 11, goosebumps, heads bobbing, air drumsticks just fucking thundering! God I want to see and feel this shake my chest live immediately!
If still there is time, there will be Meshuggah!
I like when there's a growling whisper in their songs, it's like the calm before the storm.
Incredible! This Meshuggah level of music is One Of A kind, with capitals. Hundreds of bands have tried to copy their style without being able to capture the Real Essence. Pure Genuineness.

Most metal bands song making process: guitar player says I have a cool riff, put drums and bass to it.
Meshuggah's method: guys, I saw this really complex algebraic formula the other day, it sounded like this....
I've been jamming this one and Ligature Marks ALL DAY!!!!
Phantoms too. Scratch that, more like the whole album lol
dude this whole album is a masterpiece
Apenas vi que publicaron el álbum Ligature Marks fue la primera que busqué. Dios!!! Qué delicia de riffs!!
*They move below* is where I've got to. Can't wait to listen to the rest.
My 2 favourites
Best album since obZen. Awesome stuff.
I think TVSOR is better than Obzen tbh, but yea this is an amazing album. Definitely in my top 3 Meshuggah albums and goes without saying in top 3 of all albums, because all three are Meshuggah albums xD
Saw them in Worcester back in September. By far the best metal show I've ever seen.
These people have managed to shake off all human aggression and brutality from within and have come to create pure movement of thought and energy. Like ancient martial art masters, creating their own movements with unique intent. This simply is, beauty of existence. ❤
It's like they attract aggression and use its momentum to redirect it into awe and appreciation
Some of their older lyrics from DEI, for instance, had a sociopolitical bent to them, expressed angrily.
they peaked at Obzen. except for the clean songs(which sounded like Animals as Leaders)this album was underwhelming for me. they need Fredrik Thordendal back
@@mattdubya1037 While your opinion is dog shit, you are entitled to it
@@mattdubya1037 Fredrick did some lead work on the album apparently, but I agree with you.
For me, this is the first album that meshuggah made where THEIR sound is influenced by others rather than forging a new path before others.
10 minute djent instrumental, that felt typical and meshuggah should never/has never felt typical before.
I like the album, but it doesn't reach the levels that others are hyping it up to be, for me.
Meshuggah and opeth were the bands that made me able to tolerate growling vocals. And I'm damn glad they did. Imagine not being able to enjoy this?
I can't deal with Opeth. There's absolutely nothing I like :(

Wow, stunning, incredible and beautiful video!!
This album hits so hard. I think the ending of Phantoms is maybe my favourite Meshuggah section ever. Eargasms aplenty.
I feel sad and devastated remembering our fallen brothers and sisters in metal especially over these 2 years might never be able to experience this masterpiece
Meshuggah are demons, you cannot convince me otherwise. I LOVE IT
this album is some of Meshuggah's best work yet
You think? I'm trying to familiarize with the snare sound.

This is by far 1 of the very best music videos I have ever scene. I love all the TOOL vids. This definitely compares.

L'introduction la plus violente de tout les temps, Meshuggah est le groupe parfait pour battre l'acier en fusion ☠️🎆
This song draws me back almost every day.
I set this as my alarm through Spotify.
There's a small delay between the vibration and the song itself and everytime I hear the phone vibrate I rockeт out of bed to turn it off before I bring the building down. 10/10 sleep conditioning
The guy from Tools Parabola took some acids again.
Have been listening to Meshuggah since 2006. Saw them live in 2012. Their music has aged so well. This is no ordinary metal music.
There's nothing more powerful than this band.
they are in a class of their own, the band is in their 50s and still make kick ass music
There is a very fearsome, terrifying, staggeringly massive power you're forgetting to acknowledge.

This level can never be matched.
Didnt like this song at a first listen but now its my favorite ever. Its a masterpiece of simplicity
This song has really grown on me since it came out. It's so unique compared to much of their other material, I'd often skip past it to get to Abysmal Eye, but now it's one of my favorites. Chaos! Focus!
You mean "Ligature Marks" by Meshuggah
4:25 hearing Jens scream after whispering up until that point gets me pumped. Then the whispering at the end makes it even harder.
Tomas is the one who's whispering, not Jens.

No disrespect to any other metal bands because I love them all, but this is by far my favorite metal album. Period. Ligature Marks is my favorite so far. The drums are in and out of time and come back around like they're going to collapse and then explode again. Like the big bang and the big crunch are fighting for cosmic supremacy/annihilation. Unbelievable.
Mine is Satyricon, Meshuggah, and Gojira
I love how the drums and guitar oscillate on and off beat, it takes musical skill to do that.
I would say Meshuggah, Vildhjarta, Animals as Leaders
