now let's get it rid of the unfair rating system
Craig Herbert What makes you think its unfair?
Craig Herbert I'm tired of obsessing over my ratings
Don't even worry about it. Ratings mean nothing! As long as you're above a 4.6, you'll be fine. Less is more. The less you try, the higher your rating will be haha
I would love to be able to use the destination filter at the airport.
I just got the 2 emails today too.
I agree. A lot of the customers I pick up on Uber thought the tip was included in the fare. I don't correct them but I have been correcting friends, family, coworkers etc.
Also, with the tipping option in there, we will have to watch it on our tax time correct? The cash tips were nice from people who know about it because it can go unclaimed.
Laura B Yeah, we're going to have to pay taxes on the tips. There will always be something to complain about haha
I look forward to more videos.Keep it up!
also it would be nice to see what the driver rated be before i leave a tip
This is the way to go. So as far as customers getting used to not tipping, how will that play out? Will they at least know that they can tip now or do we have to tell them to tip on the app after the trip? Maybe it's a good idea to still have tip signs just to keep it planted in their head.
Constantine, I saw a tip sign on a tour bus in Chicago. It read: ''Gratuity is an Important Part of our Income.''
Finally !
I'm not too excited at the prospect of $1.00 tip from some cheap ass Uber rider. $1.00 shouldn't even be a suggested tip amount. I'd be embarrassed giving a homeless person a dollar.
Cactus Rose hey, its better than nothing! It adds up at the end of the week
RideShare Tips No worries. I let Uber know my thoughts on this so when they use my idea you'll get a little more than better than nothing.
The main problem is drivers don't know how to activate tipping option, can somebody show how to ?
Finally !!!!
not bad, better than nothing!!
Good video keep it up , I still won't drive for them again till they raise the cents per mile .
whats a quest bonus? is it in all markets? never heard of it
I drive in Cincinnati Ohio....what is a "Quest bonus"?
Uber Announces In-App Tipping, so what does it mean for us? Absolutely nothing! Uber has been
promoting no tipping for such a long time that they got almost every
rider used to not tipping, so they're not. Uber fucked us over again...
and what is this 70cents per mile bull shit fare here in Miami?
Good job
here's my take on tipping.... roughly 40% of my riders leave a rating so I'd imagine that a similar percentage will tip. avg tip likely $2 so not a lot
40% would be pretty good. Even if it's a dollar, still better than no tips at all, right?
Sheesh.. houston is 8 cents per min
Carl King thats horrible!
Uber PAX they will see the tipping only after they rate the driver most of the time they don't rate drivers even they will rate they probably won't Tipp because they use to.
WHAT! is this in Canada too? I didn't get the email............
Hopefully it comes to Canada soon! But for now, America is still #1 haha
Nathan Seyeau I doubt it.... we don't have lyft so uber doesn't have to compete for Canadian drivers
ugh fuck... lol it's suppose to come to Canada by the end of the year...I guess they wanna give Canadians a little more time to become desensitized .
Yes l will take $5 tip not 5 stars rating l don't need any stars rating B.S scamming and trash sweet talk
CITY FILTER
Lol the mustache
didnt they have tipping before. but as a passenger you had to select gratuity under payments by percentage and it would pay the same to all rides. i hadnt ridden with uber in a while and see that it is gone and was like hmm i wonder about tipping but seems seems s tupid to have to have cash and tip since its cashless so i just never tipped. im a great passenger and see my rating dropped to 4.86 i wonder if its because i never tip now?
truth betold for riders who don't tip regardless of how great they are I give them a 1 star and 5 stars if they tip no matter the amount they tip
thats pretty ridiculous. so you think you are entitled to tips then?
truth betold yes I provide a service just like a taxi, a barber, waiter etc..the tip option is now available through uber for the first time!
if you told your passengers that you feel entitled to tips how do you think they would view you? as deserving of them or not as deserving of them because of your attitude?
truth betold i have a 4.97 rating with over 300 5 star trips so my attitude is just fine. I do tell them about tipping subtly with a detailed tip sign in my back seat explaining tips are not included in fare(which uber has lied about and say they are) and tips not required but greatly appreciated. majority of people do not know they could tip. as a rider you are already getting the cheapest fare compared to a taxi, lyft, etc...dont be cheap, tip your uber driver for great service!
How many times has Uber told us A CHANGE WAS GOING TO MAKE US MORE MONEY.
Only IDIOT DRIVERS have been asking for this.
You Rock
