- Uber and Lyft text their drivers almost every day trying to get more drivers on the road. This can get very annoying. Here is a very simple way to prevent this from happening.

That doesn't work for me. My phone provider doesn't allow me to send messages to numbers like that. Please, how do I put a stop the text messages? I have already deleted the application and I still get the texts. It is driving me insane.

I have never been a uber driver and I have been getting them and never even signed up to be an uber driver. I reply stop all the time but still get them.

I added an Uber ap to my android phone 6 months ago; in case I might need a taxi. Received 9 texts (SMS) yesterday @ 7:15 am, while driving to work. I deleted the ap once I got to work. I never text while driving. Then I sent them a text 89203, to STOP. Received a return text that Uber was disabled. Did not work. I received 19 texts, all at the same time with a "code", this morning. I asked an Uber driver at work if he knew anything about this. He claimed not. Received another 9 texts a few minutes ago. Again, I replied STOP. I've gone from being annoyed to downright angry. The FCC will be my next call.
End, works for Postmates as well.
lol.... btw, i think it's a law they have to unsubscribe you if you reply "stop" to any marketing text
Rideshare Genius didnt work for me :( i tried twice n followed THEIR guidelines twice about 'how to unsubscribe from ALL notifications' but nope im still getting texts from lyfr on a daily basis. so freaking irritating. n to think i was wondering y anyone wud sue them for such a minor issue 😟😫
STOP DOES NOT WORK FOR UBER. I'M ABOUT TO JUST CHANGE MY NUMBER. YOU CAN'T CONTACT THEM AND I'VE EVEN BLOCKED THE NUMBER AND IT STILL WON'T STOP....JEEEEZUS CHRIST THIS IS SO ANNOYING.
Uber doesn't listen, I've told them "stop" like 5 times, and I get the confirmation saying it's disabled. Then out of nowhere I get more texts regarding activation code, don't have Uber even on my phone, have never used the app. Wtf?!

I was getting them last month for a day telling me about an Uber code. I've gotten 20 in the past hour. I've tried STOP but it says something about Uber will stop.... Then another text comes...
