Dear Varsha, I need your help please : I have started working as IT engineer at a new company. The first couple month were seemed ok, then I started feeling that none of my coworkers are supporting me, basically everyone is turning off their teams messengers on me as I ask them for the stuff they need to provide me. I was assigned to 4-5 projects by my manager,(was told that our department is lacking resources) while I am still in onboarding process. There are no defined processes handling the projects, so everyone does his best to throw off tasks from their shoulders to somebody else (me, as a new guy who alwayse says 'yes'). It is my 4th month in the company and I already called sick, I wake up with nerve pains in my back and chest every morning, hating my life and what I am doing here. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression symptoms by my GP doctor. I can't open my laptop provided from the work, it feels disgusting. While working, I try to do every tasks diligently and perfectly, but its impossible at this company with my colleagues attitude. My manager is a former developer guy, who thinks I am a "good worker" and assignes all his tasks to me, saying " I see you more ahead the other colleagues" while the other colleagues don't do anything. Could you please let me know if the company I am working is "toxic" kind of company, or is it the problem with me ?

Thank you so much, I am in a lot of stress from my job working odd hours everyday. We have a small traditional business run by my aging father, which does not pay as much as my job, but he always wanted me to get a job just because my cousins were going to a job. This video gives me a lot of confidence, and something to lean on in case I loose my job. It makes me wonder, why I did not get into my family business in the first place!

My suggestion to everyone is, even if you face all those struggles be it due to politics etc. - you please don't get involved in these mind games yourself. Always remember, there is someone smarter than you waiting for your downfall. Always play the game fair and square.

Varsha always come up with a great content. In general, employees are always in negotiation mode ie they don't set any strong boundaries because they have fear of either losing job or promotion and due to excessive loans, family responsibilities such fears are natural. They couldn't set black and white boundaries and hence unknowingly become part of toxic ecosystem which leads to bad health.
Best solution is always have sufficient back up funds, upskilling and keep on switching every 2 years so that you can work & grow in your career in your own terms and conditions 😊

Spare a thought for the manager also since he/she is squeezed by yet another manager above. 😂 It’s easy to notice that current generation need not be reminded about burn out… they are the first ones to pull out the plug on time and don’t really care about the company or goals … reason ? They are fed four times a day, wear lux brands and literally don’t have much expenses since their parents are mostly well off 😊
All this will be solved if salaries are rational and not handed over freely without people really putting in the efforts. To be fair, people not giving their 100% at work is indeed an issue and one should not use that as an excuse to play victim or emotional card 😊
Sorry but it’s true atleast in my experience as I see it.

Dear, its shouldn't be a problem unless the job itself is very intensive as in you do not get enough breaks or its like a continuous sitting or emotionally stressful... a lot depends on type of work and type of people you are working with..
