Yes. Phase 1 capacity as per contract is 1M TEU. But with the recent crane automations, Adani group is targeting to handle upto 1.5M TEU in phase 1 itself. The planned total capacity is 3M TEU after all phases are completed.

Not really. 1 million was planned earlier. Now Vizhinjam port with automation can handle 1.5 m TEU in first phase. Also, even after 12 years, Vallarpadam never achieved 1 million TEU capacity. Vizhinjam is doing better than Vallarppadam.
