Female ISTP here as well, damn I relate to the social exhaustion thing so hard. Actually I'm currently suffering from it because I just had a friend over who I haven't seen in about two years and I just talked and talked and talked for like 6 hours straight.
Whenever I interact with people in this more intense way I'm not at all aware of my tiredness and I just have a great time! I'm usually the last one to leave from parties too. But immediately after I leave I feel like I've been hit by a truck and it usually takes me several days to fully recover. By now I know to expect it but I kind of need to factor that in when I consider attending any social activities.
Very relatable ISTP... I'm also one of the last people to leave a party because I don't know when to leave :D
EXACTLY!!!!!!
ISTP woman here
Is it because of low Fe? I think I can excuse myself anytime due to TeFi.
As an isfp myself when i read more about enfps i felt like i relate to them or understand them even tho Ne is my blind spot.. and yeah enfps are my mentors in life :]
I was just thinking that Anne reminds me of a toned down ENFP. ☺️
Am I the only ISTP not mechanically inclined??
I totaly resonate with Jackie's comment about sticking to one style in multiple colours, the idea of a uniform is dear to my heart, with comfort being KING.
A lot of ISTPs are not mechanically inclined! The stereotype of the mechanic for the type is so bad.
Yes, comfortable clothing is where it is at!! :)
Hi, I'm the ISTP in the video... I'm not mechanically inclined at all, in fact I'm painfully average. :P I work with my hands sometimes, like when I crochet, but I have no interest in getting down and dirty in a workshop.
I've found that my Ti and Se don't vibe together very often. I use my Ti in programming, puzzles, problem solving, etc., more intellectual pursuits rather than practical/physical. On the flip side, when I engage my Se, it's not very intellectual, but rather pure experience, fun, social, and information gathering. It's an area for me to work on, to get those working together more. :)
@@jacquelineavis brilliant then I get it totally you are using Ti it is strictly a intellectual matter.
Yes I too find i have to switch between the two Ti and Se one is on and the other off.
With your introspection about working with defence programming, I find that you cannot impose a moral code on me similar to the vegan thing, it's something we decide for ourselves. Would you agree?
@@arlenehutchinson9259 Yes, very much agree! I've never felt the need to be preachy about veganism or anything else, it's purely my choice. I find it difficult to make any all encompassing judgements on what is moral or not.
as an istj, I resonate with everything Jackie says but probably act like Anne most of the time 🤣
Hot- blooded/calculated thing is actually a great way to test for fi/ti preference in someone.
What if you are too chill and too stupid? What would that make you lol?
This was awesome! As an ISTP Female I am so happy to finally have someone I can relate to in your interviews. The ISTPs that are being shown on UA-cam are great but I feel that they sometimes fit more to the reserved ISTP mechanic stereotype.
I think I'm an isfp type 9 and I could relate to both Anne and Jackie so yeah, great video!
Thank you Joyce! I'm an ISFP 9w1 and I find myself relating to both these lovely ladies. I loved every bit of this discussion-- they've put words to the all thoughts I struggle to express! Thank you so much for sharing it!
You are so welcome! Happy you were able to resonate with them both, @M Mascarenhas. :)
Fi definitely switches style a lot. Even I do that. I could never stick to 1 style for long. It could also be Se bc I change my style far more often than my ENFP husband. He has lots of clothing and for years. I toss out what no longer feels like me, but sometimes I generally don't care about my appearance. That's the Ni part 🤔😊
Nice! The gazette ❤️ didn't expect that. I've been curious about the MBTI types of some Jrockers recently hahah
Fun show, thanks all!
I notice that too about ISTPs. My ISTP ex used to arrive on time to functions and then stay well past the time events end and I would be so drained, trying to send him subliminal messages to “let’s go”. 😂
God bless you, Joyce! Your videos are so helpful & insightful for understanding people! Keep up the good work, Joyce! 💗💗
Thank you so much, Linds Lou! :) 💕
@@JoyceMeng22 You're welcome so much, Joyce! 💗
i can relate to that Fi switch, it's like an Fi cliff where i can't go on with something just because i started it, if i lost interest with it; i doorslam the thing i was previously so wrapped up in. i resemble ISFP.
Nice type talk thanks Joyce Jackie and Anne, hot blood for me..mostly 😊
34:27 exactly I expect i will have it all without doin the hard work and when i do it and it’s not perfect as the way i envisioned it I become so critical of myself + I’m interested in archery too i hope this doesn’t change my mind about it
Yep, typical ISTP/LSI uniform style of dressing. Once I find something that works for me, I tend to buy it in multiple colors and such.
Anne: cold blooded or hot blooded?
me, an INTJ: por qué no los dos??
16:40 it’s all with the vibes with isfps somedays your heart feeling yellow other days brown and so on and you try to vision that vibe se ni and bring it to something you identify with Fi
The more I learn about Fi, my inferior function, the more I feel like it's the cause for many of my problems 🥺
I wish I had a book with all of your knowledge lol I'll definitely be working with you as soon as I'm able to.
in your opinion which skilled trade is more suitable for istp mechanic or electrician ... give the logical answer based on the function of the ISTP ..?...
@@antondeannova7016 Are you asking me or Joyce? You posted under my comment....she might not notice it...
@@icanrelate to you... WhAt is your opinion..?
@@antondeannova7016 why are you testing my knowledge? Lol You're hilarious
@@antondeannova7016 also, please don't ask me questions just to test me...I have no reason to answer anyone's questions...especially on someone else's channel.
Would a coaching with you, Joyce, be similar to this? I think I know my type (consistently typed as INFJ by typist), but I would like a better understanding. Also, how can someone participate in an interview to help with your channel?
Hi Nina! Great question. :) Coaching sessions would be a little different than this! So if it is about figuring out your type like Jackie, it would be a typing session. While coaching sessions are for people who already know their personality type. They are focused on tackling the personal problem areas in your life and figuring out an action plan or mindset shift to improve your current situation. It is my goal during coaching to be a helpful facilitator for your soul's development.
Here's the link to book a session if you would like to support the channel!

Just wanna know for context, is Jackie a software engineer or something? I'm so intrigued by that talk about missile software
ISTP vs ISFP...Who will win? :p
typical INTP :3
@@JonasAnandaKristiansson Haha.. How so?
Both . Because they will end up finding something they both enjoy and they will go do it together and chill without caring about winning or anything specially if both were ennea 9 :P
I know someone who looks a lot like the ISFP on the left in the thumbnail, and I had previously identified that person as being of the same type as well. So is this perhaps more proof of Dave and Shan's OP theory, i.e., one of their 512 types? I wonder.
Actually... The person on the left is the ISTP! 🙂But yes I do think people of the same type may sometimes end up looking like each other. I have interviewed people of the same type who look almost like twins.
Do Fi doms change behavior when they find out that the city just dumps the recycling into a landfill anyway?
Or do they keep putting things into the recycle bin because they feel bad putting the stuff in the trash?
I'm an INTP, but I still recycle because it's free. Trash isn't free.
Anne reminds me of Russell Brand... I wonder if he is the same type. Just the way she trails off into thought and has a heavy Fi.
30:58. and a bit before. yeeeah
Hey Joyce, is isfj vs infj coming soon?
I have one up already :D! But I'm planning to remake a better one sometime this year.
@@JoyceMeng22 ohh didnt see it. thank you :D
I am INFJ. I just placed a 6K bet on the markets.
1st topic how to murder someone lol
Anne, an ennea 4? :)
Yes! and Jacqueline is a 9 :)
@@JoyceMeng22 Thank you
do these people even know how to get proper typing? like I don't want to be rude, but I'm just curious how everybody suddenly knows their type, while jung, myers & briggs say that its impossible to type yourself.
