This format is by far superior to newer 3 min formats. Excellent voice, no echo, background music, extremely entergetic. :)
There are new formats?
One could add that this gets freaking awesome with the Leader and Cities expensions, which add a lot of combos and strategies.
True. I tend to not talk about expansions with the core game. But that is a true statement :)
That was amazing and to the point. Thank you!
Your comment at 1:17 is absolute truth about this game! Love it! 7 Wonders is easily one of my favorite games -- I just taught it this weekend to a bunch of newbies and they really enjoyed the challenge (and I own most of the games I like -- my friends come to me to play, rather than the other way around. One I don't own but like is Eminent Domain; the irony is the person who does own it doesn't like to play it).
There is one guy from our group who does it every single time :) So that comment was very much directed at him and based on our plays of the game.
I own about 80% of our groups games. But i've gotten into the habit of not getting one of someone else does, as we play at mine most of the time, and if I want to play/borrow a game, I always can.
7 wonders or eminent domain???
Thank you for the video. Short and sweet.
Cheers. That's the aim, short and sweet :) (Like my mum)
Thank you for this very concise and accurate video!
Thanks!
I like the way you sum up why I might like or dislike this game. Fabulous!
7 Wonders might be my favourite game I do not personally own. One of my close friends owns it, and it was his copy I used in the review. But i'm still a bit jealous of it, as it fills such a great niche and is such a solid game.
What are peoples favourite games that their friends own but they don't?
Elder sign. a friend has it and it`s always so much fun. SOmetimes you feel it`s too easy and sometims the game overruns you.
King of Tokyo
I have an awesome friend. Gave me Scythe for my birthday. But... its kinda his. We never game at my place so it lays there for all the time (so i dont have to drag the box all the time haha)
Did you get the second edition?
Language dependency meter - should you pick a copy in another language? 4.5/5p
Icon/colour/number dependent, text dependent, reading dependent - 2p
Minimal private information / Minimal verbal communication - 1p
Available rule book in different languages - 1p
Zero cultural/political aggression - 0.5p (real ancient cultures)
Multiple modern mechanisms - 0p
Perfect for bilingual groups, on rare occasions might give excuses for national pride expressions.
Imagine having all the expansions plus the fans’ edition with their cities , but it’s getting too much if you mix them all.
Only played core and one expansion i think. But this is true of so many games. I look at people who play arkham horror 2nd with all the boards and extras and think "are you mad?"
So glad I watched this, you just saved me 40 bucks :)
Brill. Job done ;)
Why, it's amazing game. Easily my favorite group game of all time.
Halikarnassos B.
One of my friends would always play them. He loves Halikarnassos B.
This game sounds similar to Catan
lol, how?
not quite! Both are euro games but the playstyle is vastly different. Both are good though c:
You collect resources (which just so happen to be common construction commodities) through a card draw mechanic, use those resources to build your kingdom/empire/etc OR trade them to other players, accumulate points in a variety of ways and without necessarily revealing to other players that you’ve accumulated them, then winning the game once you’ve reached the necessary point total.
*That* is “lol, how?” it’s like catan, NPC
Well certainly the step up from catan.
