Marvellously well explained! It makes the game more appealing than it already was before watching the video.
Just played my first game of this today… and would rather play this than the original. Quicker, more accessible, less intimidating, and great components. Actually BUILDING the wonder is awesome and has great table presence. Sorting the cards is a bit of a grind, but that was true in the original as well and is a minor concern. This will stay in our collection for a long time to come! Well done!
Best video teaching of a game I ever watched.
Nice one but 7 Wonders Architects explained in 7 minutes would have been great and very poetic :-)
5 seconds more and it would have been 7 minutes and 77 seconds...again very poetic. So many missed chances here.
Well I watched it at 1.25 speed lol
Nice tutorial! I picked up this game yesterday & hope to play a game or two with my wife this weekend!
Thanks for producing this high quality tutorial. Like others mentioned, the graphics/animations and overhead shots are very helpful. I should be receiving the game today and look forward to playing this as it’s much more accessible to a variety of player abilities. Fantastic that it supports up to 7 players because our game group has grown in size and people prefer to be at the same table for a game. I’m a big fan of original Wonders and Duel but they are too complex for some people especially with a larger group and if there are distractions.
Clear guide - thanks. Looking forward to the release!
Really simple, detailed and easy to understand explanation. Great voice and animations. Thank you :)
This looks fantastic!!
This video is amazing. I saved time to read rules, i'll buy it right after putting a thumb up here!
House rule equal turns. Not sure why that’s not the rule.
More games should make tutorial like this! 👏🏼
But I need 1 clarification on the green cards: 4:50.
When you get a set and hand in, this tutorial say you discard all the cards that was used.
In my Norwegian rule book, it says; Norwegian: «KAST et Grønt brukt kort, velg så…»
English translation: «DISCARD, one Green used card, the choice…»
Is this misprint in the Norwegian rule book?
Hello. It must be a printing error then, because you must discard all the cards you use: if you use resource cards to build the stages you discard them; if you use your green cards (science cards) to get progress tokens , you discard them too.
Nice vidio sir, I love the game
I think this game a fun eventho you play with 2 player, and I think its easy to understand for newbie.
Im planning to buy the game, and i just curious about 2 things
1. Let say there are 4 player, and when the war started, are we just war with the right and left side only ? Or we just war with each other ?
2. Can we draw a card + activate the effect of scientist token at the same turn ?
Thanks
Remember to BAMBABABAM when you play a red card with a horn :D
I think it was much better to explain/play this game and the original 7 wonders with my friends. They are not really a fan of 7 wonders. Only me and a friend(that's why we play also 7th wonders duel) I think that is the best one!
If we have two gold coins and one resource, will that count as 3 different resources? Since the gold is (from what I understand) is a wild card? Thanks for the help
Thanks for the tutorial. 1 question re: Effects, especially for the Colossus: do you confirm that the +1 shield advantage is for the entire game? not just during the round when we flip that step of the constuction?
Really good video
So cute arts 😊
As a huge fan of the original game and Duel (with both + expansions) I will probably pick this up too. I was very curious to see how this differed to the other 2 games and I'm actually quite surprised how different it plays. I have 2 young kids (ages 3 and 6) with the older one able to grasp the rules of both of the other games although this wasn't until he was about 5. The younger one isn't quite at that stage yet but I reckon this would be much simpler for him to pick up then the other 2 games, and hopefully be a nice stepping stone to them. It looks to be obviously far simpler than the other 2 but that was of course what the designer was going for. I also admire him for making this game a true 2 player minimum count. I think the thing I'm looking most forward to though is getting to use my fake horn sound as I've been working on that for a while now ;)
We hope you and your kids will enjoy 7 Wonders Architects as much as we do! :D The game mechanic is indeed easier than the 7 Wonders base game so that will be a great introduction for later!
Is the deck contained in the mini-box together with the wonder specific to that wonder (maybe have a specific back) or are simply cards put there at random at the end of the games? Do all these decks have the same number of cards?
Each wonder has its own cards with a specific back of the wonder to sort them easily at the end of the game :) And yes, every deck of cards has the same number of cards, except for the common cards.
Hi! can someone help me? About golden cards, I must use it to complete any EXISTING resource in my hand, or I can use it freely? for example 3 golden cards to build a [3 ≠] Wonder part?
Ok I need this now!
The Architects seems more interesting than the normal 7 Wonders.
I have a question about the Rhodes wonder. Is gaining a shield a permanent effect? If so, why is the shield icon on two different sections of the Rhodes wonder? Thanks.
Its permanent once you bild the section with the shield. So if you build both of them you have 2 permanent shields.
Official answer is, only once. "You can only apply the effect of your Wonder once you build the stage of the Wonder that has the effect. Once you did, you can't use it again " Also see below as an answer to the "effects' question.

regarding 2 player change... What is "twice as many" when your opponent has ZERO? Or does your opponet have to have at least ONE before that ability to earn 2 tokens at a time come into play?
In that case, if your opponent has 0 Shields and you have 1, then you take 1 token. If you have 2 Shields, then you take 2 tokens :)
How many cards go in each players box?
Are the special effects on the wonders one time use? Or can I use them every turn?
You can only apply the effect of your Wonder once you build the stage of the Wonder that has the effect. Once you did, you can't use it again :)
What happens if you tie in number of shields? Is there a tie-breaker, or does no one win?
If you have the same number of shields as one of your neighbors while resolving a battle, nothing happens and none of you takes a red token :)
@@ReposProduction thank you!
When will the game be released in the US?
It will normally be released mid-October 2021 :)

Great tutorial.
Though, I don't see how you missed the opportunity at 6:40 when distributing the Military Victory Tokens, that the video didn't put the tokens on the left/right side of each battle.
In the example 'we' won on the left hand of 'our' Wonder, and if the Video placed the token on that side it would bring clarity to how the battles work. The same of course with the next player. The tokens should have been distributed to the left and right of that players wonder to show what battles have been won.
This also make it easier to determine when all battles have been calculated in a game with big playercounts.
Better tthan & wonders! Game with nice mix
3:40 Point of clarification: you DO hang onto resources that were NOT used to construct a level of your wonder.

Wow this is super basic, 7 wonders lite. Dont get me wrong Id still play it.
I prefer to think of it as 7 Wonders: Family Edition. 👍🏽
Hi, I would like to know if I can use some images from your video on my UA-cam channel here in Brazil. I will translate the rules into Portuguese if possible.
Great game💜✌. My family play with our own home rules and it's even better in our experience😎💜✌
How much strategy vs luck ratio? I can see different ways to win but doesn't seems has deep strategy. p/s: I haven't played any of 7 Wonders franchise.
Chess = 10 : 0
Splendor = 8 : 2
Monopoly = 1 : 9
Snake & Ladder = 0 : 10
7W Architects = ? : ?
7 Wonders Architects is not a strategy game as 7 Wonders may be :) It is more of an opportunism game where your choices will guide you through the game according to the cards that are in front of you. I can't give you a ratio as it is too complicated to calculate but I hope it will answer your question a little.
@@ReposProduction just give some guest. It's more towards luck or strategy?

Looks good but... The card holders do not fit sleeves?? C'mon guys!
There is enough space in the card holder to add sleeves ;)
I'm afraid that's a trumpet, not a horn sound
A.) a trumpet is a type of horn ; B.) you can make that same progression of notes using the type of horn pictured on the card, just like playing a bugle, which has no valves.
...or did you think it meant that you're supposed to make the sound of a car horn? 🤣
Bit cheap to put an ad in the middle…
