Vocal Mode Preview 1 - Passionate, Power, Bright, Dark, Falsetto - Synthesizer V SAROS

- A short demonstration of 5 of SAROS’ 10 vocal modes, in a much-requested format! SAROS’ vocal modes were designed with a theme of duality, best used in combination with each other as seen in the full, original demo songs. In contrast, this video shows a short example of each mode used alone, without any other major adjustments to the voice. This also serves as a demonstration of SAROS’ automatic pitch capabilities.
We hope to share even more information soon - including details on what makes SAROS as a voice so unique among our current lineup.

More on the vocal modes:
Passionate
• Range: A2-G5 (Falsetto: A4-G5)
• Complimentary modes in duet: Passionate (ASTERIAN), Passionate (SOLARIA)
• As with SOLARIA & ASTERIAN, SAROS’ “Passionate” mode simply provides their most natural tone, with an enhanced degree of “performance”. “Passionate” can be used to offset noise or tone for any other vocal mode. Notably, falsetto begins at the exact same part of SAROS’ range with “Passionate” enabled, but with a less high-end breathy sound.
Power
• Range: C#3-G#5 (Falsetto: pushed above recommended range [A5])
• Complimentary modes in duet: Strained, Rough (ASTERIAN), Power, Solid (SOLARIA)
• The “Power” mode intensifies SAROS’ expression, especially in the higher end of SAROS’ range. This tone is also suitable for creating clear, non-falsetto expression at SAROS’ highest possible notes even outside of the recommended range with manual adjustment. To reach SAROS’ most powerful, we suggest combining “Power” with other strong or tense modes.
Bright
• Range: C#3-F5 (Falsetto: pushed above recommended range [G#5])
• Complimentary modes in duet: Clear (ASTERIAN), Clear, Solid (SOLARIA)
• “Bright” adds tension and clarity to SAROS’ voice, making it more piercing and sharp in tone. Ideal for songs with an already crowded arrangement or pieces that need vocals to cut through to center stage.
Dark
• Range: B2-E5 (Falsetto: G4-E5)
• Complimentary modes in duet: Open (ASTERIAN), Solid (SOLARIA)
• “Dark” brings SAROS’ sound to its coldest and also most masculine, rounding pronunciation and pushing the database’s range to its most natural lows. “Dark” can also bring out pensive tones on falsetto notes, while pulling the falsetto transition lower in SAROS’ range.
Falsetto
• Range: C3-B5
• Complimentary modes in duet: Gentle (ASTERIAN), Airy (SOLARIA)
• “Falsetto” is based directly on falsetto-only data from SAROS’ voice provider. It can be used in moderation to warm and soften tone, or turned all the way up to create lines only in falsetto tones.

The moment you had them sing Stayin Alive by the Bee Gees is the moment I knew I *need them* 😂
FALSETTO MODE?? the amount of control that presents is amazing
good question
no joke, before this preview, I wasn't really hyped about SAROS. but lord. They're tone is so satisfying, and one of the best vocal synths I've ever heard. Eclipsed Sounds, you've produced nothing but impressive voicebanks. I'm so excited what other future projects you'll hold.
Ya gotta hand it to em. That's exactly the right song to demonstrate the falsetto vocal mode.
when “dark” started i gasped. how gorgeous!
The song choices are impeccable
Can you make videos like this for the other singers too? It's a helpful guide!
We plan to once SAROS is released! ASTERIAN has a video similar to this available on our Twitter page, which you can find in his information article: www.eclipsedsounds.com/post/asterian-for-synthesizer-v-studio-demos-range-vocal-information
While SOLARIA doesn't have an exact parallel, her info article also includes brief descriptions of each vocal mode!
Boy did my opinion of this vocicebank turn around real quick. Between this demo showcasing the versatility of the vocal modes, and the keep your eyes on me song proving me wrong in my old opinion that saros would not work for more electronic heavy genres, I have completely switched over to being very excited and convinced that I have to have them.
THEY SLAYED THEY SLAYED THEY FUCKING SLAYED
The dark mode 😩😩😩 with the Dark mode FALSETTO??? 😩😩😩😩🥹🥹🥹🥹 SAROS definitely is an amazing being and I hold him in my heart ❤️❤️❤️
Saros has all of my heart 😭
i absolutely was not expecting these song choices but they fit so well oh my god.... they sound so good singing in the air tonight and staying alive
I'm blown away by how lovely their different modes sound. Also kudos to whoever was in charge of picking the music for the examples lol good taste
I almost cried during the demonstration of his Dark preview. They sound beautiful.
AWESOME! Guys, you always impressed me with the constant improvements! Well done! Blessings and cheers!
wow...I'll say it backwards...wow...this is pretty incredible...looking forward to creating with this vocal...
So impressive. Really well done all around!
Oh. My. God!!!! I love them so much!!! I'm so happy that you did In the Air Tonight cover! I can die in peace now :'3
ohho!! the sweetness of their voice is really growing on me, and i'm hearing more range in this showcase than was featured in the demo 👀
I've been using the Synthesizer V Pro and love the Solaria vocal. I'm using the voices to finally produce my gospel original songs. I await a heavy toned gospel voice to fill out my roster of voices, until then I'm loosing sleep learning the software. Great job and you have my support and a new subscriber.
I was not expecting them singing a Goo Goo Dolls song holy shit.
We LOVE.
THE FALSETTO MODE WAS SO GOODDDD WHAT THE OTHER VOCAL MODES PLS TELL US RIGHT NOW 😭😭😭
THEY SOUND SO GOOOOOOD
i NEED a full version of that iris cover, NOW
Sounds like a keeper…definately going to get Saros on Nov 24! Also, its interesting that the pronounciation changes a bit depending on the mode selected. Falsetto is also super useful!
They are simply perfect
While listening to this, how many of you did the drum solo in the first song? Great work on this voicebank!
Love this wonderful voice!
I love Saros so much ❤
They sound so good!!
My favorite was the staying alive one part!
that's so cool, i hope Eclipsed Sounds would hired the opera singer ( like The Charismatic Voice, Elizabeth Zharoff)
I do not know Elizabeth Zharoff well enough to know if she can do both, but it would be interesting if we had someone who can sing opera, but also sing in the regular fashion, a bit like a Floor Jansen (Nightwish) that does both. After all, the more versatiliy the better. However, that may be more complicated to create or more complicated to find.
YOOOOOOOOO SAROS SLAY
oh i love them
How is it possible to set the notes independently of the piano roll? Like in 1:20 the notes are slightly above the default pitches.
In the pro version of Synthesizer V Studio, users can use the note detune function to drag notes off of the default pitch. To do so, hold command (Mac) or control (Windows) and shift at the same time. Hover over a note and you should see the vertical arrows symbol and then you can drag the note vertically off of the default pitch. This is a pro-only feature! You can also reset this by selecting any set of notes, right clicking and selecting "Reset Detuned Notes".
Amazing voice :-)
great 😮
Please, please, please! A masculine classic rock/metal vocalist next please.
I want it soooo baaaad 😮💨✨
I was not prepared for Staying Alive. 😂
0:37
Sounds like Phil Collins
Mejoren la pronunciación de Saros, enserio le hace falta más fuerza en las "r's" 😢
AHH
sounds like john frusciante slightly
The pronunciation have lisp 😳
Those vibratos sound so fake compared to the rest.
The vibrato style is actually based on the singer's own voice! While it may not work for every style, we thought it best to showcase the base state of the voice without any edits for this demo. If it doesn't work for your piece, removing the generated vibrato in Synthesizer V Studio is as simple as selecting all notes and dragging a slider down to 0!
@@eclipsedsounds : My original comment may have come off as rude-sounding, apologies. I can hear that it's trying to emulate someone's vibrato style, but it just doesn't sound realistic.
@@jbi It didn't seem rude at all, we absolutely welcome all feedback and critique of our vocals! Realism can generally be enhanced with user-based edits, or even mixing-phase adjustments such as EQ changes, but we will keep a close eye on ways we can improve the quality of realism when it comes specifically to vibrato for SAROS in the future.
@@eclipsedsounds Thank you for taking my criticism with an open mind. I love all of you guys' work and I am looking forward to this release as well. I will attempt to explain in more detail what I originally meant:
#1: Listen to "johnny be guUuUud" at 02:12, It's almost at inhuman speed (you'd have to shake your head up and down to recreate it), it also comes off as synthetic mostly due to the speed and lack of vocal detail in the vibrato.
#2: Listen to "johnny be guUuUud" at 03:07, here the second upwards vibrato-part is the one that sounds off, I believe it sounds synthetic due to the start of the vibrato hitting A then way too quickly the vibrato goes up to B before balancing out on A#, all done in a quick succession in a unique vibrato style.
The vibrato style sounds like it's done through head movement and not through the vocal chords, mostly due to the speed and feel. Even if this is not my preference in vibrato style, I still think it's OK.
#3: Most obvious example of it sounding synthetic is at 03:18 (...hoOoOow). It sounds like how strings sound when you mod-wheel them up and down. There's zero detail in the voice during this vibrato, imagine a guitar portamento where the finger slides up to a new pitch VS doing it digitally on a mod-wheel. In short: It's lacking detail that a voice gives off when producing vibrato, thus creating a "flanger" type of effect.
This voice is so close to being perfect, I just really wish this vibrato would get improved / fixed beforehand.
