Look, everybody knows Jerry was a beast and he will forever be missed. But this is pretty damn lovely. I'm glad Maserati lives, and may Jerry's memory live on forever!

I got this band on my Discover Weekly on Spotify, based on what I've listened to; And thank you spotify for that recommendation, it was love at first chord.
oh, saw these guys a couple times around 2002 @ 123 pleasant street; damn good stuff, this one seems to have the same synth that pink floyd used, they didn't have that back then..."hey! leave those kids alone!!!!!!!"
I can here because I was trying to find that song from the Home Depot adds from this past year. Someone said they thought it was similar to this band. Whether that's true or not, this is some sick shit.
Pink Floyd and A Flock Of Seagulls had a son and they called it Maserati. 70's meets 80's and collides into some Damned interesting music. It's hip, it rocks, and you can dance to it, I give it a 10.
es increible la diferencia de suin entre jerry y el nuevo baterista ,no es malo ,pero esta a años luz de tocar como jerry,de echo el bajista se lo nota incomodo con ritmica en monoliths,
I get the idea of adding your own style, but I'm really missing the kick here in monoliths. The original chemistry with the bass was perfect and so powerful. *1 +a* (2)*e*(+)*a 3*...
....may I ask, " 1+a(2)e(+)a3.... " do you mean that's the original part Jerry played ? Bass Drum on the 1, 2, "+" of 2, 3...and than starting over ? If so, what irritates me a bit is that I always thought / heard ( ..well, I guess I still do but if I'm wrong I'm happy to let me tell someone that it's so.. ;-) ) Jerry playing straight 16th notes from the beginning, so it should be the typical 1e+a2e+a3e+a4e+a.... I don't hear him leaving out the "e" after the 1 one the HiHat...like you wrote. So far I don't know what song you may realte to exactely with the pattern you mentioned. No offense...just asking..
Some say Pink Floyd or U2. I’m convinced they rose from the depths of Voyage34 from Porcupine Tree! Awesome band live. Saw them open for Mono. What a cool double bill that was.
@@marcbasil not talking about all PT tunes. This band is far from PT but if you listen to parts of V34 Phase 1, there are similarities as with U2 and PF as others have pointed out. That’s mainly due to the extensive use of delays by this band which people connect with. Music is often appreciated through connections of familiar and liked sounds. Nothing more complicated about my comment other than pointing out the similarities that I connect with. Thx
Great live session. However, I wish the bass guitar was louder in the mix. I struggle to hear Chris McNeal's playing throughout. On Monoliths, that driving bass run should dominate and it is buried.
Is this Mike Albinisi on the drums ? If so, I´m a bit irritated because here he plays the drums set up like a lefty set and in this video : ua-cam.com/video/nzm2zB5rYUE/v-deo.html he plays the drums set up like a righty kit. The videos are not mirrored since the guitars and bass are right handed on both videos. Do I miss somehting ?
I don't remember KEXP sets from this era having such poor mixing and levels. Seriously, there's almost zero low end (McNeal's bass guitar and Paterra's kick) in this, it's maddening. Any other issues some people seem to have with the performance can be chalked up to the band dynamics shifting pretty substantially in the wake of Jerry's untimely passing. Two of these tracks, from Pyramid of the Sun, were first written with Jerry in mind on the kit, then repurposed after his death. Paterra, after subbing in, perhaps struggled with fitting into a four-piece configuration driven largely by guitars, given how long he'd been (more or less) free to do his thing in Zombi alongside Steve Moore. Not a knock against Anthony; any casual listen to an album like Surface to Air or Escape Velocity (or any of his solo Majeure outings!) will reveal he's a mind-blowing drummer in his own right. I do think the band would find a truly worthy successor on the skins with Cinemechanica's Mike Albanese, whose been in the pocket with Maserati for their string of three solid LPs since 2012. Overkill? Maybe. I just saw some rude/misguided/uninformed comments here and, as a long-time Maserati fan (ever since the Towers Were Wires 7" circa '04) wanted to set the record straight. Plus, yeah, the set's sound quality isn't great.
Most electronic / dance music is great but not really what I'm into. The so-called music on the likes of X-Factor and American Idol are just bad covers. Fair play to Maserati proper music with real instruments, pretty original and great to hear in this day and age when there's so much recycled dross around.

What’re you talking about…? This is Paterra, who is a WAY better drummer than Fuchs ever was. And Paterra isn’t even a member of this band

I totally thought it was them when I heard the ad too. Glad I'm not alone.
Please link me to this ad I can't even imagine music like this for Home Depot.
The Mercury Program, possibly; they also performed some radio bumpers for NPR.
good sound, great job guys ;)
I've founded you guys in Spotify. What are you doing??? Amazing sound dynamics. Love forever!!!

serious business here !
Hard to think that when Maserati started out they had a Mogwai thing going on with their debut 37:29:24
A W E S O M E !
It's like one long hit from the bong.... You've created a new genre: Delay-Rock. I like it, just spread out a bit. ;-) Good Job!
I keep expecting them to bust into Run Like Hell
Giorgio Moroder met David Gilmour? :)
On the road!!!! ; ).
MASERATI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This music reminds me the videogame Mass Effect.
1 minute in and sounds like U2, then like the Miami vice theme song.
Que vaina tan buena!!!!!!. What a good sheath

my wife calls them "pink floyd's children"
Fuzz, so funny because I relate to what your wife says. Hahahaa
Thanks!!
Their road gear ata cases actually had pink Floyd stenciled on them and really once belonged to the band. Fact.
Tight! They should play naked
Makes me feel cruisin' in the Knight Rider or flying the Airwolf ! Great Sound! See you soon in Belgium!

The Sound Quality Lowers On The Very Beginning Of The 2nd Track!!!!
Brilliant and clearly influenced by Manuel Göttching and Ashra !!!

They certainly heard a lot of Tangerine Dream to have these inspirations...
why the volume drop in the second song?
Great job! Do you know their complete pedal boards?

A question I ask myself amost everyday...
@3:11 oculus rift
but he cant even play in time with the kick.. you can hear. its a kiund of doubling.. :D
sounds like egg brilliant

This new drummer butchers the bass drum pattern in Monoliths.
