Man do I love this series. Played the first one on NES way back in the 80s, then played the others after. They're all good, but if I had a Nintendo Zapper to my head, I'd probably pick Punch Out Wii. The charm of NES Punch Out, with the smooth gameplay of Super Punch.
My Wii punch out headcannon is that mac is a real boxer who accidentally got put on the "theatrical" boxing circuit, and as a result is actually fighting a bunch of circus actors pretending to box. That's why every fighter is like a cartoonish circus act, and a 107 pound teenager can kick the shit out of 200+ pound heavyweight champs.
Question: Who is you guy's favorite Punch Out characters, and why? I love Disco Kid to death because he never got angry or bitter for losing and always has such a friendly smile while you guys are sparring. I also love that he has an entirely new idle animation in Champ Bout. Also, I like disco, lol. I'm also quite partial to Piston Hondo for the same reason -- he took his loss like a champ and used it to fuel his desire to get better for the future, but never got bitter or angry over it. I also like Sailor Moon, so I feel like he and I would be great friends. And then there's Aran Ryan. Dude's just a straight up dick. And we love him for it.
My favorite for super punch out on the nes is Narcis Prince, I love hos knock down sound. He's a close second for me in the wii version too. Then the arcade ones would have to be dragon Chan. Idk, I just like him best. I also love Macho Man. :)
My favorite is the wii version of Von Kaiser. The clockwork style sound effects of some of his actions especially hit get up animations is a nice ascetic. The look of pure joy and aggression on his face whenever he dodged one of your punches. And the fact that he gets bullied by children in his intro and the fact he calls for his mommy when you stun him makes me find more of a comical coward than glass joe or gabby Jae have ever been to me.

The theory I've heard about Glass Joe's one win - it was against Gabby Jay, who of course has the same record as Glass Joe. Conversely, Glass Joe also lost to Gabby Jay once, giving Gabby Jay his one win. Just something I saw fans say before. Nothing to really back it up, but it sounds plausible.

PsychIron the only reason Mike Tyson was in Punch Out for NES was because they got his licensing before he got the world championship belt so it was a load cheaper so they decided not to renew it and made Punch Out NES featuring Mr Dream, so unless they renew his license (which they won’t) he wouldn’t appear in a new Punch Out game.
@@benltfc8462 good to know
PsychIron otherwise all you’re suggestions I am completely on board with ps my first comment wasn’t suppose to be negative
@@benltfc8462 I know. I'm just saying that it is good to know that one of my things might not happen
PsychIron good was just making sure
Glass Joe is best world champ, FACT.
Wh, dude?
The theory I've heard about Glass Joe's one win - it was against Gabby Jay, who of course has the same record as Glass Joe. Conversely, Glass Joe also lost to Gabby Jay once, giving Gabby Jay his one win.
Just something I saw fans say before. Nothing to really back it up, but it sounds plausible.
Another good speedrun!
We will never forget the legend that is Pizza Pasta. That racism is just... *chefs kiss*
"What is he doin'?"
Dragon the fight out. Kappa
the “spicy” strat on pizza pasta should be called the “Pepperoni Pizza” strat.
I like to think Zallard has all of the devices just next to him and connected to his computer
If a new punch out was made Zallard would probably be the final boss
Amazing run(s). Have you ever ran Arm Wrestling? It might be a nice addition to this gauntlet.
He said he'd do it if someone is willing to get the board for him
I think there needs to be a split between regular and title defense for Wii punch-out since it is longest section, almost an hour with your old PB. Just food for thought.
Lol next time you do this run, you should get a webcam showing the entire room it would be cool to watch the set up splits in action
Maybe one day haha
now you just have to do this blindfolded
