- Starting a new game is always overwhelming. That's why I want to share my knowledge, to make the life of new players easier.
I'm not here to tell you what to do, just to explain how things work.

Pretty good guide, may be less detailed than some.
However, I believe that you covered all most important basic stuff, and you explained it in a simple and relaxed way which I think is more beginner friendly.
Some other beginner guides probably sound like word salad to new players, this will work perfectly well I think.
Thank you! I do believe a quick rundown just to take away the fear of messing up is better than trying to mind-share everything at once
I would like to reinforce the point about not using level guides, relying too much on clear guides will simply take away to challenge and play of the game, and you will become dependent on a guide.
Yeah ngl, I'm level 70, and still only playing this game for mostly collecting characters, I'm honestly still not really into the game's core mechanics, most of the time i finished a stage (mostly with guide like u said) i always looking forward to the prizes, or unlocking some feature gates, i almost never "I'm gonna clear this stage, because i want a challenge!" any stage, it's just not that fun to me, even if i moved away from any guide to clear certain stage before, it's out of pettiness.
And don't even get me started on Integrated Strategies, i felt SIUUcidal everytime i did it.
Well in one way or another we still go to Guides. But now Im more Dependent to Clear stages myself since I have the right amount of Ops and lvls needed to clear it on my own.
Damn right and thank god i don't have to try the stage myself 20 times and drain my sanity before clear it
can't agree
I myself used guides practically for everything my first 4 months; and even managed to get 10 medals on my first CC because of that.
But even with guides, that CC was so painful that after i was done with it, I felt like something changed. I've started doing routine CC stages myself; i started doing harder event stages myself, etc etc.
My point is - even if you follow guides, EVENTUALLY the game will pummel into you the knowledge you need, whether you want it or not.
You will start recognize familiar patterns - the "crowd control" situations; the ranged stages, the AOE stages, etc etc.
So, people who use guides - just take your time. The pain will be mandatory anyway, and it will leave its positive scars on you. One advice tho - to speed up the process, watch niche and high-level clears as well. The more variety you'll witness - the faster you'll start to recognize familiar scenes.

I have been playing this game for 2 years now, but I still watch videos like this (they are interesting)
Same

Don't aggressively towards higher rarity, it will cost you alot of resource thus makes you stuck and you have resource recession management
Use and level up *3 operator whenever you can, cuz they cost you less resource
After that you can level up your higher rarity from their dirty jobs
I just started playing 5 days ago so thanks for the video.Really helpfull
I hope you have fun playing 👍
I have an extra tip for new players. Side Stories and Record Restoration can oftentimes give you new operators (referred to as welfare operators). Most are not worth using, however, a few have pretty good base skills. Notably, without investment, Ceylon from Heart of Surging Flame gives elite material byproduct rate +80%. Catapult (a 3*) gives the same at E1. She also requires 0 Sanity to obtain.
Also, Flamebringer from the record restoration gives Skill Summaries byproduct rate +70%. Matoimaru (a 4*) does also gives the same bonus though.
Guides are so fun to watch
Even when i have nearly 2 years of gameplay i still love to watch what others think is a good start and how they played at the start
Super helpful! A lot of people fail to explain the absolute basics
I left the game a long time ago and I just started playing it again without remembering anything, so I came searching for a guide and yours was the first one I saw.
I was too worried about meta stuff and how to be careful with the resources so after watching your guide, I will just relax and enjoy the journey, thank you
My counter about following guides is that they can be a really good resource to better learn the game mechanics and strategy when you're a new player. The Kyostinv guides for Annihilation 2 and 3 specifically helped me a ton as a new player. I never watch stage guides these days but when I 1st started they clarified things for me quite a bit.
Depending on how much free time you have as a new player you may want to watch guides to finish the last few stages of some events if you are stuck just to maximize your rewards. I started during code of brawl and it was immediately followed by CC beta. I played as much as I could of both without guides but then used guides to clear even further for additional rewards. This is just another example of a good way to use guides as a new player.
As Kuma says though, I'll caution players against over using guides as it will probably make the game boring faster than if you try to figure things out yourself. Use guides sparingly and have faith in yourself.
Gonna send this to my friend who has been meaning to start playing Arknights very soon, and this guide is a simple explanation on the menu and different currencies. Better than my ramble dumping info as I get excited when a friend plays the same game as me xD
Thank you for helping newer players along their journey.
Very good beginner guide! I wished, i had this, when i started the game. It would have saved me a lot of troubles.
Kuma: "Arknights is not competitive"
Vifer: "its time to scam the winners"
Woah, nice explanation for beginners like me and I appreciate it so much especially for the shop and raising the operators. 🤗
thanks for the guide! I just played this game for 2 days
This actually a good newbie guide.
Thanks for explains, very helpful
As a new player (even though i know this game for a long time) this advice really help me
Played for 2 weeks now and I feel bad for not playing the game since launch because I would probably have a good career in this game now lol.
Thank you very much!
Great video, as usual, especially the last words about meta and fun. Thank you for inspiration!
Also, did you manage to beat bw-8 cm with only 4*? I made my first video about this stage today and i want to see other people tactics, cos i only manage to beat it with 9 ops. Oh, also another question - what video editor do you use?
I have a clear of it in the cat tower video, I added a medic for cm, it's a meh clear. For editing software, try Davinci Resolve or Kdenlive
I'm simple man
I see you obtain Beanstalk as the first gacha result on this video and use her as showcase on her promote page, i press like
thank you for this guide!
I started the game during Dorothy's event and i honestly wish this video was around back then.
im installing the game right now thanks
It's always nice to support a fellow bear
thanks!
Beanstalk without the skin that references her talent...
I raised my amiyas level and with a bit of research found that in terms of arts damage in the late game dps wise she is queen.
Wow i havent touch the op pack and starter banner at all what so ever also i never buy operator directly before only the pull ticket duo to the fact i only roll for limted banner
Thanks mate, I gonna start in arknights because two reasons.
1 - Monster hunter
2 - Waifus.
(Obrigado mesmo foi bem simples a explicação, e o sotaque brasileiro denuncia bem rápido kkkkkk)
Neat, I've been playing the game for like 10 days or so (level 13 rn). I'll probably save my headhunting models for e2 Mlynar (yes, I have him, and yes, ik I'm lucky af)
Minor expenses lol me in the later stages of the game spending over 500,000 lmd just to raise my unit to a certain level
hey, can i have FEater image used in the thumbnail of the video? btw good video bro
go to arknights website, in the special tab
I feel called out as my base is currently farming orundims (my account is 2 years and I have stockpiles of tier 3 mats I am not too worried). for anybody who doesn't have that it is a complete waste
I wanna add: just use any operator you like
The waifu meta is real
You didn't said my dear costumer noooooo😢
I hope that he/she is my teacher when teaching stuff at school 😢😢
Watching this as a late game player,
Welp I'm a noob, I saw that I have a lot to spend on headhunting then suddenly I have 6stars character
I'm struggling with the archive in this game. It kept the red dot saying "updated" on some op and I don't know how to clear it, help me. I have red dot phobia
it could be a lot of things, just go to the ops that have the dot and click on the dots until they go away
where did you get the average of 6 star in ~30 pulls?
also great vid, I like it when you do vids where you talk lol
From a probability calc. Where else? 😁And thank you
if your average any 6 stars pulls don't score around 36-ish, thats a skill issues.
@@RewriteKuma oh I always it was ~60
then again I dont have the math lol

Noice.
How do I get a tier 3 operator chips
in your base, you craft it in a factory, the same place you make gold and XP, you just gotta have the T2 chips and a catalyst, which the game gives you some, but you can also buy from the red cert shop
I would actually advise against OP packs. They are farmable materials, whereas OP is limited and should only be used for skins since there's no other way to get them.
Just buy them, you won't regret. Because here is the thing: Unless you never convert OP to orundum, it's a big waste, bc the pack gives the exact same amount of orundum
I started playing the game a week ago. I'm losing my in game sanity and my real life sanity trying to asimilate everything the game and the guides tells me. But well there is no easy road to become a furry lover i guess :D
cute gummy tho
6 minutos só explicando os menus ! haha ! Parece complicado !
I just need to know how to deal with those candle knight guys archers dont do jack against them
You can stop their explosion skill with shift, stun, sleep, levitate or freeze. If you silence them before they start, they also don't use it
@@RewriteKuma ok so when they start to glow i can hit them with shaw?
@@RewriteKuma i think shift and slow is all i have
yes, just make sure your shaw has skill lvl 7, they are weight 4, so you need at least force 2, which shaw has
I spent things i shouldn't
Are you brazilian or something like that? You sound like the ppl from my country when they speak english.
sou br sim, é nóis
@@RewriteKuma daora mano :))
Try to add a lot of friends
Don't waste too much originium
Try (if you want) to obtain a limited operator o at least save for your favorite character. Less than three months will do
brazilian?
just get silverash in support and go monkey
Looking back at it, arknights aren't really beginner friendly and if you aren't going around asking or lurking more, you will get bored of it
This is a true and also misleading statement.
Arknights isn't beginner friendly as, if you parrot your usual way of playing mobile gacha games. It won't work here.
If you know what to do, the game is easy. You can have a couple of Elite 2s and be in chapter 5 by the first 3 days.
@@charginginprogresss maybe I should emphasis more about not beginner friendly doesn't mean it's hard but, yeah I agree. I put on the perspective of new player who tried arknights as their first gacha game. And it's not beginner friendly in term of 'sense of direction' like, what should I do, what should I prioritize, if I reached a certain point what should I do, etc. Because arknights are different from any gacha game hence why, you should lurk and asking more or you will get bored out of it. (Given from my personal experience with mine and my friends)
PayAttention? Sorry bud, I'm F2P
"I barely consider arknights as a gacha game"
You will eat those words when you end up being forced to spark a limited you really want 🥲
Jokes on you, I always expect that outcome
