Keep up the AK content Kou! Also if you're a newer player, do not ignore your 4*s. A lot of them are insanely good for a long time. My favourite is Cutter and she gets even crazier with masteries and her module. As for 6*s. Saria. One of the most versatile units in the game. The fact that she's a launch unit and is still top tier after almost 5 years speaks for itself.
YES!!! So many 4*s are goated! Perfumer never leaves the team for me, simply because of her Talent which bypasses Panance's (my wife) restrictions! And Myrtle is a beast all on her own!
Going to pull a Dr. Silvergun and say Pinecone is a high priority to build. She is very strong just at E1. Her S1 can hold THREE charges at only skill level 7. Most skills can only hold 3 charges when you mastery them and that requires a fair amount of resources for a new player. She does incredible AoE, has high enough attack to pierce through even medium to high defense, and can be very flexible with skill usage, either using it every few seconds or saving up all 3 charges to unleash hell on a tough wave. And while I’m here I’m going to say I love Vigna and you should build her because she is my waifu and idc if she’s not super meta
I got so unreasonably angry at Recruitment because it refused, for months, to give me Vigna. I finally got her, but im probably just using them wrong though cuz im so used/addicted to pioneers with 2 block
Commenting to algo boost Dr. Kou's Arknights content. Also vouching for recommending both Specter and Gladiia (with her maxed module) because with their shared Abyssal Hunter faction buffs, they make a solid lane holding duo in any game mode early, mid, or late game.

Although this was not discussed in the video, but I think it's also worth mentioning characters with useful skills for the base. For example: Vermeil, Scene, Click. These are all the operatives that everyone has, and they don't have to be upgraded to the second elite in order to unlock the second skills to work in the factory and bring a bunch of EXP. Somewhere on the Internet there is a table with similar combinations of operators for the base, so I think it's worth making a video about this in addition to this one.
I'm not too much of an expert on Base so I don't feel too comfortable talking about that. Once I get more knowledge then possibly. I think I lack knowledge on the best combos for optimizing the base skill of operators.
Some honorable mentions: Gavial and Sussro are really good healers. gavial has a strong heal with regen effect with her skill and sussro's limited heal is solely because of how strong it is. Silence is extremely powerful and a carry healer with her 2nd skill and she seems to appear pretty easily on the free recruitment thing ( just try to keep grabbing healer tags). She can deploy a bot that heals per second in the area surrounding the bot which can help augment her healing ( and keep Surtr alive) or use as free heals for targets outside of her range. In a lot of stages: she is fully capable of solo healing with little to no effort. Also, dont underestimate Amiya. She is quiet strong as a caster and strong in her other form later. Dont sleep on the bnuy daughter Edit: forgot to mention: hibiscus is a good cheap healer as well and perfumer especially if you plan to use a summoner team is a REALLY good choice to get since she aoe heals and has a global regen; and the regen IS affected by her skills. For supporters: generally Orchid will get the job done if you ever feel the need to slow an enemy. Also, dont... Sleep on podenco, her 2nd skill is very good at slowing bosses down ( was really useful during CC12 with redblade)
ngl if I remember right, I used Durin as cheap bait in my first Patriot clear. The 2/1 stars all have interesting niches that can be used flexibly, like Justice Knight applying fragile to aerial units. I've been playing for 4 years and here's some more to add: Mousse, much like Melantha, is a single block unit that can do lots of damage, as Mousse is an arts guard and ignores defense. She got me through most of early game and she was my first E2. Someone else mentioned Pinecone and I can't recommend her enough, with def ignore and a spammable s1 she's one of my favourite units even into endgame.
2:50 Meteor sitting in the corner crying for not being mentioned *almost forgets that Meteor isn't a free operator, but let's be honest: she isn't hard to get in recruitment thanks to her tags so maybe not for completly new player, but for people who try cc out: scene and bibeak are solid operators that you can get in a good amount of days, depending how good your team is and the operation oyu try to tackle on a other cheaper recommendation: orchid and general the 3* operator orchid, as she can slow enemies down and deal arts dmg, usual something that works good in combination as most arts weak/def high enemies are slow aswell doberman very important if you use 3* as she buffs them good and is a neat extra dps
I wanted to mostly mention people that everyone can grab easily from pulls/recruitment. Meteor is a great choice and I love her though, possibly will mention her in a future video as a hidden gem!
The biggest weakness i have right now is not having many of the 3-4stars levels as i keep getting distracted with my 6stars great for story and events but its a pain for IS
I highly recommend training out your other units. It's a great idea to work on a fully functional team rather than just a few who are built out! Good luck!

I doubt it'll ever come out specifically for PC. But if you're desperate to play, there is a PC platform called "BlueStacks X" which is pretty much a platform to play some phone-games on PC. I think majority of people who plays Arknight these days plays it on PC. I currently play AK on my PC through BlueStack and it works perfectly fine. =)

I ended up getting Gummy and Jaye three months after starting, literally would not drop from pulls lol. Also, players get Shaw for free and makes certain early parts easier when built.
Glad you got them both eventually! Shaw is a great choice as well but I didn't want to mention just because of the lack of holes in mission. But Shaw can be a great unit regardless if you use them properly
Along with any 2/3 star that Kougaon has mentioned in this video, DEFINITELY look into using 4 star units also. They're not that difficult to come by, can get majority of them full Potential with ease, and I would argue a handful of them are better than most 5-stars you come across. Some prime example: Vigna - 4 star DP-On-Kill, she's easy to promote AND she has one of the highest damage in the game along handful of other operators, even if not for DP-gain, she can be used to help damage down some of the tougher enemies when needed. Courier - 4 Star Pioneer and my personal favorite, he's free via Credits, and while not boasting great attack, he's a very tanky Vanguard, meaning he can hold lanes reletively well while providing DP as well. Since you can easily max potential, he stays within the 10DP cost too, making him easy to deploy and use. Graviel - 4 star Healer also from Credits for free, she does decent heals, but her S2 provides a small regen on everyone in range. Similar to Courier, you can free Max Potential her, meaning she is also a low DP cost decent healer for people to pick up. Cuora - 4 star Defender, and the operator who has the most ridiculous amount of defense in the game (Seriously, no other defender I think comes close to what she gets), and with her S2, not only does she gain LOTS of defense, but she gains another Block Count in return of not being able to attack. But she's one of the easier, cheaper operators that can hold 4 Enemies down in a lane which is VERY strong. Cutter - A Nuke-Guard, Cutter is one of the top Nuker-Guard, where you deploy her and unleash hell with her S2 to do a huge burst of damage to clear out groups of enemies or even burn down bosses. There are many other 4 stars operators of course, but this is simply a small example, and there are other 4 star that has similar strong points like the ones I mentioned. Straight forward skills, Less resource/time to Max Potential/promote, and ingame usually has less DP cost to play. If you find yourself having a squad JUST filled with 5/6 star, and you're having a hard time progressing the game both beating stages / Promoting and leveling up operators, going back and picking up 4 star operators could REALLY surprise you.
Returnee player here (era of Silverdaddy). Is he still good? Not much rewards from being a returnee eh?. Should i start fresh and reroll for Mountain/ Thorn or just keep my old acc with Silverash, W, Seige, Weedy, Bagpipe and all staple 3* - 4* units with 180 gold certs in it? It's makes more sense to keep it but I'm too overwhelmed with so much stuff in the game righ now lol.
yeah the only reason to raise jessica is if you need to use kyo's guide for annihilation 3. May or metoer are both better, as is kroos alter or insider.
May/Meteor are great choices. I choice Jessica as she's seen in most of Kyo or low rarity guides and I assume most players can receive reach full pot quickly
Also if you're new player, raising 3* is worth it. I thought they're all beat by 4* or 6* that I should prioritize. But I didn't realize there is IS then, where 3* are significantly cheaper. tbh I Still haven't raised Midnight, and I think he would be one of the most versatile units in IS..
@Kougaon I have a question: If i skip the event with Lessing for now, will it be released in Intermezzi? I wanna get him because he looks cool af, but most of units are at E1 level 60, which means I can not get his full potential. You can skip the event but just know he probably won’t be back for awhile (maybe a year) x( highly recommend you at least try and unlock him at least as he should be available halfway thru!
Ironically, my first ever E2 was Vigil just because someone edited his face into Sussuro summer skin. The context is that i'm a femboy enjoyer (Ansel, Mizuki,...etc) so...
i cannot stress myrtle enough she is such a good DP printer. her talent where she heals all vanguards on the field has saved me more than i thought it would too.

Perfumer, even though it's luck-based, is a good character that helps alleviate healing requirements. Personal vote for Mlynar because of his taunt that allows you to keep your backline safe from ranged enemies, also cause his sword cleaves everything in sight.

Same thing with max health or something and it gets further boosted with the direction, I’d have to look into the translation again to see how the wording is exactly but for a free flagbearer it’s like holy shit 🗣️
ok ill read it off since I found it: Allied operators in the surrounding 8 tiles obtain max hp +6%, if their deployment direction is the same as Qanqing, the effect changes to 10%, that was just his talent, now his main skill is- at SL7: Stops attacking and gradually recovers 20 dp during the skill duration, restores the hp of nearby allied operators equal to 20% of wanqing's attack every second, and operators in the surrounding tiles with the same deployment direction as Wanqing gains +20 aspd, like jesus christ lmao, at M3 the dp stays the same but the healing goes to 25% of Wanqing's attack per second and the aspd goes to +25 @@Kougaon
Nothing wrong of building up some 6 & 5 stars.... BUT!!!!!! If you want to go anywhere in the rogue likes and events where you have extremely limited DP. And lastly want to follow step by step of Eckgen a s Kyo for how to do the 1 6 stars. You better max out all the 1, 2, and definitely 3 stars. Their actually better then most of the 4 & 5 stars with only E1 promotions, even at max level. Most will bot surpassed, until E2 l, at level 20 or some 30!!!! And 5 & 6 stars costs a lot to E2. Plus Operators like Jessica, Gravel, Gummy, Matterhorn, Perfumer are really good, especially with their talents they have. Cheap to E2 and Master their skills. Lastly E2 & M3 skill 1 Myrtle as early as possible!!!!!!!! Their are 1 TO MANY missions where DP gen is extremely SLOW like 1/4 regen amount in normal. And you start out with NONE!!!! Unless you want to leak. You need Myrtle coating only 8 and able to 14 DP every 22 seconds. 9 seconds on first trigger. That is average 1 DP every 2.14 seconds. And yes, higher rarity flag bearers like Elysium & Saileach can produce 1 DP every 1.89 by average... BUT!!!!! Their more expensive to summon and harder to fully potential to lower DP Costs to deploy. Not to mention way more expensive to M3. And again matches with extremely low or 0 DP regenerating. In order to stop an early leak, you need DP fast! And Myrtle and only Myrtle can give the earliest DP. Courier is also good for when you need a DP but someone who can block 2 enemies with out dying. So he is also worth E2ing. I personally M3 his skill 1 even tho it's not as good as 5 & 6 Stars, but its worth it. It's cheap! Don't bother with Skill2, the stats makes it seems you get more DP per second then skill 1.... BUT!!! its a defense buff that last for 15 seconds so remember that no SP will start building until the skill ends. So you really have to wait 45 seconds at M3 to use the skill again which is average 1 DP every 4 seconds, instead of 3.33³. it's not that bad. Unless you want to make Courier a Permanent Semi tank, you would want higher DP Average.
Thumbnail dosent make sense to me because Surtr has a really good skill 1 and 2 and NOT raising surtr while getting her early on will miss you a lot and you will use her arts damage for the rest of your account

I be real with yall I love the people's reactions to my high rarity team, having like.... mostly meta in it, but no surtr or ling or whatnot. Other than that it goes... EXACTLY Typhon, Kaltsit, Pozemka, Fiammetta, Qiubai, Firewhistle, Mostima (Expendable..., I replaced Myrtle for one stage with her and keep forgetting to change back), Skadi, Specter (I forget she exists most of the time.), Shining, Muelsyse, and Swire Alter Recommend all you want, the chances of me building allem are low.
Very surprised to see all of the 2-star operators on the list. Really, the only one "worth" it is Yato since she can be used as a faux-Fast Redeploy/bait when you need to distract attacks and alternate bait the attacks with Yato and Gravel. They're all so cheap to build I feel like everyone's going to build them at some point. Another surprise to see was Jessica because it's "widely accepted" that May is the superior 4-star Sniper since she has the utility to slow enemies and is one of the best Snipers to start IS with as well as Kroos. So with all of that said, the other standout 4-star operators that are overall good in most situations are: Perfumer (global healing), Sussuro (highest burst healing in the game) Vigna (one of the hardest hitting Vanguards in the game and with good RNG she *is* the hardest hitting Vanguard), Cutter (fast burst damage capabilities, hits twice, and versatile because she can hit air units), Jaye (self-sustain, hits like a truck and can silence enemy attacks), Deepcolor (summons lil tentacle bois and probably one of the best units to start IS with because it's like having 3 extra helpers on the field when you're so limited in the beginning) and Ethan (can infinitely bind enemies and great for crowd control). Shoutout to Cuora, Totter, Humus and Arene ^^ every unit I've mentioned previously are cornerstone units to beat the hardest of the hard IS modes. Obviously it takes some skill, but I couldn't straight brute through IS3. If they're good enough to beat max Surging Waves they're good enough to beat 98% of any Arknights stages. Everyone else on the list I agree with haha.
Yeah just like I said I really appreciate how low cost the two star operators are and they can be great for filling gaps. All your suggestions are great though!
Best newbie build rotation should be: E1 squad with a e2 4 star focus for support and getting early 6 stars like gladiia and beginner banner operators to e2. Gladiia has to be the best candidate for leveling as she solves alot of problems all by herself

Ceobe is a great choice! I actually got her around the same time I got Eyja and chose to work on her at the time. One day I'll go back to raise her!
I would also recommend Perfumer, specially in the early game stages, as some of them features poison maps, and Perfumer's talent is more than helpful.
She's still universally useful even in the end game. One of the more powerful low star units in the game.

Try it on Googleplay games, it is an emulator but it's officially supported by Google and it runs smoother.

I used the Google Play beta for recording and it runs amazingly well. I will refrain from using other emulators now haha

Cutter - A Nuke-Guard, Cutter is one of the top Nuker-Guard, where you deploy her and unleash hell with her S2 to do a huge burst of damage to clear out groups of enemies or even burn down bosses.
There are many other 4 stars operators of course, but this is simply a small example, and there are other 4 star that has similar strong points like the ones I mentioned.
Straight forward skills, Less resource/time to Max Potential/promote, and ingame usually has less DP cost to play. If you find yourself having a squad JUST filled with 5/6 star, and you're having a hard time progressing the game both beating stages / Promoting and leveling up operators, going back and picking up 4 star operators could REALLY surprise you.
Returnee player here (era of Silverdaddy). Is he still good? Not much rewards from being a returnee eh?. Should i start fresh and reroll for Mountain/ Thorn or just keep my old acc with Silverash, W, Seige, Weedy, Bagpipe and all staple 3* - 4* units with 180 gold certs in it? It's makes more sense to keep it but I'm too overwhelmed with so much stuff in the game righ now lol.

I would really recommend may or meteor instead of Jessica. They have more utility with defence debuff, slow and stuns.
yeah the only reason to raise jessica is if you need to use kyo's guide for annihilation 3. May or metoer are both better, as is kroos alter or insider.
May/Meteor are great choices. I choice Jessica as she's seen in most of Kyo or low rarity guides and I assume most players can receive reach full pot quickly
Also if you're new player, raising 3* is worth it.
I thought they're all beat by 4* or 6* that I should prioritize.
But I didn't realize there is IS then, where 3* are significantly cheaper. tbh I Still haven't raised Midnight, and I think he would be one of the most versatile units in IS..
Midnight is extremely good! His switch to Arts damage with his skill is strong for taking down units that have terrible Arts resistant

I wanna get him because he looks cool af, but most of units are at E1 level 60, which means I can not get his full potential.

You can skip the event but just know he probably won’t be back for awhile (maybe a year) x( highly recommend you at least try and unlock him at least as he should be available halfway thru!

i cannot stress myrtle enough she is such a good DP printer. her talent where she heals all vanguards on the field has saved me more than i thought it would too.

Perfumer, even though it's luck-based, is a good character that helps alleviate healing requirements. Personal vote for Mlynar because of his taunt that allows you to keep your backline safe from ranged enemies, also cause his sword cleaves everything in sight.

@@Kougaon yeah he gives bonus aspd to operators adjacent to him for just having them face the same direction as him. Same thing with max health or something and it gets further boosted with the direction, I’d have to look into the translation again to see how the wording is exactly but for a free flagbearer it’s like holy shit 🗣️
ok ill read it off since I found it: Allied operators in the surrounding 8 tiles obtain max hp +6%, if their deployment direction is the same as Qanqing, the effect changes to 10%, that was just his talent, now his main skill is- at SL7: Stops attacking and gradually recovers 20 dp during the skill duration, restores the hp of nearby allied operators equal to 20% of wanqing's attack every second, and operators in the surrounding tiles with the same deployment direction as Wanqing gains +20 aspd, like jesus christ lmao, at M3 the dp stays the same but the healing goes to 25% of Wanqing's attack per second and the aspd goes to +25

Nothing wrong of building up some 6 & 5 stars.... BUT!!!!!! If you want to go anywhere in the rogue likes and events where you have extremely limited DP. And lastly want to follow step by step of Eckgen a s Kyo for how to do the 1 6 stars. You better max out all the 1, 2, and definitely 3 stars. Their actually better then most of the 4 & 5 stars with only E1 promotions, even at max level. Most will bot surpassed, until E2 l, at level 20 or some 30!!!! And 5 & 6 stars costs a lot to E2.
Plus Operators like Jessica, Gravel, Gummy, Matterhorn, Perfumer are really good, especially with their talents they have. Cheap to E2 and Master their skills.
Lastly E2 & M3 skill 1 Myrtle as early as possible!!!!!!!! Their are 1 TO MANY missions where DP gen is extremely SLOW like 1/4 regen amount in normal. And you start out with NONE!!!! Unless you want to leak. You need Myrtle coating only 8 and able to 14 DP every 22 seconds. 9 seconds on first trigger.
That is average 1 DP every 2.14 seconds. And yes, higher rarity flag bearers like Elysium & Saileach can produce 1 DP every 1.89 by average... BUT!!!!! Their more expensive to summon and harder to fully potential to lower DP Costs to deploy. Not to mention way more expensive to M3.
And again matches with extremely low or 0 DP regenerating. In order to stop an early leak, you need DP fast! And Myrtle and only Myrtle can give the earliest DP.
Courier is also good for when you need a DP but someone who can block 2 enemies with out dying. So he is also worth E2ing. I personally M3 his skill 1 even tho it's not as good as 5 & 6 Stars, but its worth it. It's cheap! Don't bother with Skill2, the stats makes it seems you get more DP per second then skill 1.... BUT!!! its a defense buff that last for 15 seconds so remember that no SP will start building until the skill ends. So you really have to wait 45 seconds at M3 to use the skill again which is average 1 DP every 4 seconds, instead of 3.33³. it's not that bad. Unless you want to make Courier a Permanent Semi tank, you would want higher DP Average.
Thumbnail dosent make sense to me because Surtr has a really good skill 1 and 2 and NOT raising surtr while getting her early on will miss you a lot and you will use her arts damage for the rest of your account

Very surprised to see all of the 2-star operators on the list. Really, the only one "worth" it is Yato since she can be used as a faux-Fast Redeploy/bait when you need to distract attacks and alternate bait the attacks with Yato and Gravel. They're all so cheap to build I feel like everyone's going to build them at some point. Another surprise to see was Jessica because it's "widely accepted" that May is the superior 4-star Sniper since she has the utility to slow enemies and is one of the best Snipers to start IS with as well as Kroos.
So with all of that said, the other standout 4-star operators that are overall good in most situations are: Perfumer (global healing), Sussuro (highest burst healing in the game) Vigna (one of the hardest hitting Vanguards in the game and with good RNG she *is* the hardest hitting Vanguard), Cutter (fast burst damage capabilities, hits twice, and versatile because she can hit air units), Jaye (self-sustain, hits like a truck and can silence enemy attacks), Deepcolor (summons lil tentacle bois and probably one of the best units to start IS with because it's like having 3 extra helpers on the field when you're so limited in the beginning) and Ethan (can infinitely bind enemies and great for crowd control). Shoutout to Cuora, Totter, Humus and Arene
^^ every unit I've mentioned previously are cornerstone units to beat the hardest of the hard IS modes. Obviously it takes some skill, but I couldn't straight brute through IS3. If they're good enough to beat max Surging Waves they're good enough to beat 98% of any Arknights stages.

Yeah just like I said I really appreciate how low cost the two star operators are and they can be great for filling gaps. All your suggestions are great though!
Best newbie build rotation should be:
E1 squad with a e2 4 star focus for support and getting early 6 stars like gladiia and beginner banner operators to e2. Gladiia has to be the best candidate for leveling as she solves alot of problems all by herself
