Are you really sitting 326mm from the screen when driving?
Haha, no. It changed the number when I adjusted the FOV with the brackets keys. I'm around 620mm
I was going to say I sit 600 away and that feels very close
I just checked. I am sitting 800mm away from my monitor.
I sit 4 metres away coz my heads massive
@@bigmatthews666 Hhahahahahahaha!!!!!
Such an Ambassador for the iracing community. Your a true gentleman!
iRacing approves :)
@@avavii he really is the best.
You’re the man for sharing the wealth of iracing knowledge you have. It’s the guys like you, Dave Sampson, and Jimmy Broadbent who made the journey for me into sim racing super approachable, and much more rewarding. Great video as always! Cheers!
Great stuff Dave! I'm not new to iracing but certainly learned a few things here. I enjoy and appreciate your videos!
You the best Dave! Thank you so much for all the great tips. Just getting into iRacing and I'm getting ready to do my first race. Awesome video Thx again !!!
Amazing tip with this fast repair. I just started iRacing yesterday, it will be so helpful. Thanks Dave!
This is great, Dave, I just took the plunge with iRacing and have started making some adjustments now, thanks for posting this
At last Dave, this is the video I’ve been waiting for. So much info to use and apply. A big shout out and a load of thanks 🙏
Great and informative video Dave the more I get into IRacing the more I'm learning from your channel thank you sir.
I had no idea Crewchief could also take care of refueling for you. awesome, thanks!
It can swear at you as well. Also in the options!
@@Daz555Daz I like the swears. Don’t f*ck this up!
I have heard that it isnt that good in calculating but i still use it.
@@fabianmhd978 it rarely let's me down.
@@fabianmhd978 It can be a bit off sometimes in multiclass races, when you're not in the fastest class. It depends whether you get lapped again after your final stop, if you do then you might find it overfueled you by a lap or so.
Thanks Dave, i finally started my iRacing journey yesterday, this stuff will help me a lot! 🙏
Great information, Dave. I was just wondering yesterday about how to set up crew chief fueling. This video was right on time. Thanks so much.
Not even new to iRacing anymore and still extremely useful info. Thanks Dave!
Great tips
iRacing has a nice learning curve to overcome. I’m just a noob that started back in 2015 and I learned more than one trick with this video!
Thanks!
Great video! Just got my tripples set up and didn't know you could place UI elements on the sidescreens. Now I'm gonna dive into that ini file and check all the extra options. Probably going to install all the extra software addons as well. Awesome Dave tnx!
I knew of some of these thing but a couple I didn't, like repositioning elements over triples and setting up iRacing to not default to filling up and changing tyres at pit stops. All simply explained without all the faff, to the point (just like the Fanatec Podium Module as well)! Loved it. Thanks!
Thanks for doing this vid, I just started IRacing last night and was overloaded with everything on there. Being new to IRacing I had no idea what I am doing. Still don't, but this is a good help to get started. I have invested a lot into this so no turning back... thanks again Dave. Love your content
Glad I watched this. Figured I knew all this already, and I did, EXCEPT the brakes force factor. Don't know how I missed it, but I never changed it when I installed the load cell upgrade. Brakes feel MUCH better now. Thanks!
I've been on iracing for over a year, but i didnt know how to re do the ui/HUD as shown! I only pressed alt+K to move things around, but then there were so many constraints... Now, i can move everything to wherever i want. This is awesome!
Thank you.
Love the videos man. You got the perfect balance of informative but still exciting. Big fan. Hope I get high enough irating to race ya someday!
Thanks Dave for you efforts yet again a great informative video to help us all along the iRacing journey, ver much appreciated👍🏻🏎🇬🇧
I’m so old to iRacing (circa 2008-2010) that coming back to it a decade later has been like learning a new game all over again…licenses, car and track business models are the same, but tons of new features and menu formats. Thanks for the video DC!!
OMG! Thank you for the info on the moving your items to your other monitors. I had always thought it was weird that I couldn't move my stuff further out. :)
Thank You for this video! I am brand new in iRacing and had no idea about all of it.
Thanks!
Been racing over a year now and so glad to learn about autoresetpitbox. Though I’ve gotten quite fast at unticking gas and tires on the grid.
Excellent video Dave! Very informative and helpful. I enjoy all of your vids, thanks so much for all your work sharing these with us!!! W.
I'm not new to iRacing but I didn't know about the Force Factor for the brakes. Makes a huge difference with my Fanatec Clubsport Loadcell. Thanks Dave.
Thank you Dave this is going to come in very helpful later in the year when I take the jump into trading 👍🏎🏁
A really super handy video! Just started iRacing and will defintiely be taking some of this advice! Thanks!
Cheers Dave, Unchecking the pit service and UI stuff in the APP file was really useful
need an update to this video. This is some quality information. thanks Dave
Just started I racing, very helpful video Dave. Thank you 🙏🏻
You presented this stuff well DC. Thanks for clear explanations, smart editing, and the right amount of brevity to eliminate the waffle.
Yeah, couldn't agree more! Totally on the money!
Came back to this video for the specifics on moving stuff around on the screen. Still paying dividends over a year later Dave! Thanks
Thanks for this Dave, really useful and informative 👍🙂.
I would also add, once you have your correct FOV set, If you don't like the way it looks, you can still set your seating position with the advanced replay camera (CTRL+F12) and save it per car, so iRacing will auto load it whenever you enter the car.
Been watching you feeds for awhile now Dave. Been mainly racing Assetto Corsa Competizione but have subscribed to iRacing a couple of weeks ago and loving it. I downloaded Crew Chief after this stream and use it in both sim games now. Thank you for in tips.
Great vid thanks. Your tip about using the app folder for no auto refueling really helped
Excellent video, very helpful. Cheers Dave...
Dave, thank you. This is fantastic info for us rookies!
So glad I can move the black boxes to my other monitors. Thanks Dave you're the best!!
Dave this is an outstanding video. Thank you.
Probably the most useful video out there :) thank you Dave
Great video Dave and mad respect to the Mercedes that was sacrificed to show us the damage and pit stop process
loved this vid man, great delivery.
Great video Dave! I definitely learned some things!
Brilliant video mate. Useful for me... and i ve been on the service for years!
awesome video dave ,you do such a great job with this kind of stuff
so many great tips - i had no idea about the brake multiplier. Now i have to learn how to brake all over again.
Brilliant mate just what I was looking for. Thanks 🏁🏁🏁
Verry good Video! There were 2 things I didn't know about. Thank you Dave 😊
Thanks for the great tips and explanations. Cheers from Brazil!
Thanks for the tips. Most useful I've found so far!
Happy to help 😁
Awesome video mate. Downloaded loads of paints and Jim as my spotter. Now all I need to do is go faster😁
Brilliant advice and tips Dave - thanks!!
Awesome. Wasn't sure how to set up the add fuel in crew chief. Super easy. Great vid. Didn't know half of it. And I've been iracing 3years.
Incredibly helpful!! Thank you!!
Been wanting to move my boxes to side screens forever! Thanks much!
Awesome content as always Dave. Thank you.
Thanks Dave this was great info and extremely helpful!
I did it Dave, i set aside ACC and went at it hard, Just got my D license in Oval track, did some fun Legends and Charlotte and stuff. A lot of variety. Great video!
check out irffb with vjoy i honestly can't go back to ACC FFB or normal iracing feedback
Thanks for the video help me a lot! Love that crewchief app super awesome
watching dave's videos i got my first A lic in 46 days so its very reachable ... keeping it is the next challenge
Great video! Thanks for your help!
Great video, Dave. Very helpful
Excellent video with very pertinent information.
This was brilliant. Thank you Dave,
Great information! Thanks brother.
Wow Dave, your an awesome man my brother. Giving valuable information to the less experienced sim Racers out there. Kudos Dave, you are an inspiration to us all 👍.
Thank you for everything you do, from entertainment to education.
Forever Racing 🏁
You're very welcome. Happy to help 😁
Subscribed for 1 month and holy cow these cars and tracks take up so much space on your SSD.
Great Vid. I am in a class that should be called "pre-rookie" and your vids are indispensable.
Keep practicing you’ll be climbing the ranks in no time. I guarantee you can’t be worse than some of the D classes I’ve been racing with
Hey man love the channel, just recently got into sim racing and currently running project cars 2 and Gran turismo on ps4. Trying to learn patience and clean racing and a lot of your videos have really helped. Hoping to make the turn to iRacing within the next year once I upgrade my pc and my racing.
You would probably be able to usd your current pc. Iracing isnt that demanding. I get around 300fps 1080p on my awful computer
What a great video!! Thanks Dave!!
Cheers Dave - interestingly, that 'driveUIfullscreen' needed to be set to 1 to let me use the outer 2/3 of my ultrawide for UI elements, despite it being set in iracing as just one screen.
Great video. Helped me a lot.
Thanks Dave. Always great. Wish I had have watched this earlier regarding pit stops. Got dinged
Great video learned so much keep them coming. Please!!!
Amazing Video Dave. Thanks!
Great video Dave, very helpful indeed. Thanks mate.
Thanks so much. A lot of key bits here that would have taken years to learn the slow way.
Thank you for this, truly. A friend recommended your channel and I already see why.
Thank you 😁
It would be really great if you do do a video on buying a steering wheel and pedals? Should you buy brand new or second hand if you are just starting out? How much to spend to get a half decent setup that will last you the first couple of years in iRacing as you improve. Where to buy second hand? What to look out for when buying second hand etc... I know there would be a lot of work involved in creating such a video, yet I really trust you, and I know any advice you give would be full of minerals. 😁👍 You're a top man Mac.
That first tip... wow. I never changed by brakes when I started with my Fanatec pedals, been set at default the whole time, now down to 0 and I need to basically learn how to brake again.
Makes it feel faster further away. I play around 90-110 pov. Started playing few weeks ago and thanks for the help
Thanks Dave, very good tips. Cheers mate !
I love the car pants thanks so much! I have changed the pant on mine as well
Very good information sir! That helped me a lot : D
Thanks for your videos, they helped me al lot to improve my driving. Greetings from Germany. Keep on the good work
Thank you James 😁
Great video, thanx for sharing!
Exactly the advice I needed, nice one.
Great video Dave, great informative, clear content. Knew most of this from 6 months of iRacing, but 25% I'd not figured out. Plus would have loved to have watched something like this when I started.
Thank you for this!!! I have been using iRacing for a few months and missed that brake force setting, I have a set of Heusinkveld sprints and was having such a hard time in the big braking zones in the Cup car. So much better now! Great work in the super cup this last Saturday!
Dave do you clip the max braking force to avoid locking as some suggest or do you just leave the full range?
No I have it at the full range. I don't like the idea of the 'hack' 😁
@@davecamm Sweet, Thanks for the reply, that was my thought as well. I have been streaming my racing on twitch. Keep the videos coming, Great stuff.
Great video Dave. I seem to have lost Claire my spotter. Going to play around with it tonight. Great video 👍🏼
I love when Claire says "That's three wide, you're in the middle" i get a smile everytime lol
New to your channel. How refreshing. Clear, concise information! Also, someone who recognises most of us haven't got unlimited money and space, and or understanding partners!😄(video on monitor size) keep it up.
Thank you Chris 😁
Loving the tips!
Great video as always Dave!
This is something I was questioning. I play ACC but always enjoyed your videos. But for me, I like to sit the view a little further back, like it was when you zoomed out. This is mainly because I like to have some view of beside from a single monitor. But on ACC you get the option to "look with wheel", view turns as you turn the wheel, which is very useful for tight corners. If I had triples, I would have it as you do.
Great video, Dave. I can't believe that in 2021 you still have to manually change ini files, especially for a sim that charges a subscription.
@Douglas Aird is it really much difference to doing it in game really except being able to do it on the fly.
Thank you, great work!
Super helpful, thanks mate 👍
