    A correction to this video: The earliest Omega Seamaster 600 batch with a movement serial number around 21.4 million dating to 1964 came with a caliber 600 instead of 601. Many of these Seamaster 600 with the caliber 600 were sold by Turler.

      You can put a new gasket. But just make sure your watchmaker can order one of the same size and as close as possible. Sometime it can be a challenge to remove the old gasket and replace the new one as well. Which is why your watchmaker say he cannot replace it. Saving him time to explain it to you.

    I'm 4 goes into this video. So if I wanted to source a 1967 no date 34mm 600. I'm looking for case 135.011. With 601 movement? Dial will say Seamaster Geneve? Blimey this is complicated. Back to the note taking I guess.

    • @TimelessHistoryChannel
      @TimelessHistoryChannel  3 роки тому

      That's correct, 135.011 will be a non-date Seamaster 600 Geneve with caliber 601. However, a very early 25 million serial number (estimate 1967 circa) could also be a late 1966 release date as well. Which is why you may find some listing showing a Seamaster 600 dating to 1967 because the serial number maybe 25,0##,###.

      @@dummule_ I didn't bother to look at the Seamaster first to be honest. The first thing I look at is the format of the dial. I know a lot of people redial a Seamaster 600 this way in order pretend it is a PAF watch. So the luminous and finish are the first sign that are incorrect. And to 100% confirm that this is a redial, you can tell the Omega logo is incorrect and the Omega font is wrong as well.
