    Newbie subscriber from sunny Scotland bought myself an Skx which is never of my wrist and was going to purchase a dress watch but after watching some of your discussions change of heart as am a new convert to vintage now and going to start looking out for something different from the run of the mill designer watches and go vintage thanks Andy

      +Andrew Mckay Hi and thank you for watching, there's some really nice new watches out there but nothing can replace the sophistication of a great vintage, please let me know what you get modern or vintage it's nice to see how my watch brothers grow there Collection 😊

    Awesome collection sir! I have only one Omega, it's a 1960 seamaster manual wind chronograph caliber 321. It was gifted to me from my grandfather 20 years ago. 1 month ago, I put it in the shop for a mainspring replacement and thorough cleaning. Also had to replace the top chronograph pusher. As you can tell, I wear it religiously. Even though I own over 50 other watches.

    thanks for sharing your knowledge
    I have another question....sometimes I see a vintage Omega and there's no name or model on the dial.....the dial is just plain. what are these Omegas called? are they the lowest model back then? there's nothing on the back case either
    do all Seamaster's come with a screw on back? or did they come with snap backs too? I see that some come with a one piece case with no removable back

    I'm new to collecting watches. I loved your video. I know the last watch you mentioned it being the very first omega Seamaster by matching it to the picture. I did notice a couple of differences. It appeared that your second hand was Longer and the face of your watch vs the image varied. The picture had the markers to the inside of the numbers VS. your watch which the markers (periods) are outside the numbers (probably the reason for the longer second hand). I could be wrong but that was what it appeared from the video. What would a working 1948 in good condition / some pitting on the hands and normal discoloration of a face bring? thx art

    Greetings,
    First time post here. I have always been a fan of Omega time-pieces. My father recently passed away and left several watches to me. One of them is a Gold (14/18K?) Omega Seamaster calendar wristwatch. I can barely read the details along the rim of the back, but what I can read says, "Waterproof Seamaster" Interestingly the case is bare, is that normal? I have no idea how old it is but I think it was given to him by a patient back in the 70's? The other is an Omega Constellation They are in excellent condition with no scratches on the crystal (Saphire?)

    Please sir if you can help.. I have a Seamaster deville I inherited from my father 43yrs ago. It is gold finish, & the back is smooth, no logo. Dial has no numbers, 2 gold bars at 12,3,6,&9. I have photos of dad wearing it ftom at least 1970. I absolutely love it, so slim & elegant. I only wear it on special occasions. Any idea ?

    I have a seamaster deville automatic with a date display at the 3 o’clock position. It has a one piece case. I can remove the front ring with my fingernail. Is that normal? Is there a reference book about all the different Omega models?
    Thanks, joe

    Thanks for video. What do you think bout redoing dial on vintage? Does it loose value? I really want the 711 omega

    • @todorelojconfernando
      @todorelojconfernando  7 років тому

      xavi Bon sometimes redoing a dial is the only choice i have that Omega calandar date that needs a redail but I'm still hoping to find a original for sale somewhere. if your in the US and need a redial i can recommend a great place to do it.

      Collecting Vintage Watches yes let me know where I can send mine. I recently bought a DeVille, right underneath the omega it says "turler" also. I been trying to find information on this watch but can't seem to find my model. The purchase was a gamble from eBay I want to check for authenticity, you know where I can go to do that?
      Thanks

      When I see it has been repainted, I don't buy it. So yes, it looses value.
