My similar machine from HF has a half inch arbor. I wonder if it the same or a different model. What puzzles me is that many of the the wire crimp wheels I have say 5/8 and 1/2" arbor. There is no adapter even in sealed packages. What am I missing. 2. Over the years, so many of these wire fragments have hit me, I have lost count. They will go through my doubled lined winter jeans and hurt me till I find the last one. A full face shield in an absolute must, or at least the full wrap around goggles. Nothing is worth a trip to the ER or the slightest loss of vision.

6 inch grinders typically have a 1/2 inch arbor, 8 inch grinders typically have a 5/8 inch arbor, most crimp wheels come with a center adapter to fit multiple arbor sizes - this one came with 1/2, 5/8 and 1 inch adapters (black plastic rings) - having spent years in industrial plants, my everyday glasses are safety glasses with detachable side shields, and I typically use this one standing offset to the wheel to prevent getting hit with the brass flyoffs - Thanks for subscribing!

Hi. Is it normal to be able to easily slow and even stop the motor when using a wire wheel?

it might be painful on a wire wheel if you use your hand, but yes, it is relatively easy to stop any grinder wheel or wire wheel, the motor has plenty of speed, but not a lot of torque, so if you apply pressure to the wheel, it will slow the motor - I am surprised that people use a sander attachment on a grinder, because as soon as you apply pressure to the sanding belt, the grinder slows down and stops - thanks for subscribing!

Dude that thing was vibrating like crazy how long do you think those bearings will last? I have the same problem with my exact grinder that you have the wheels are always wobbling and I need to buy some new arbors plates I’m trying to find some really good ones I think that’ll help I hope

for mine, the issue is the shoulders on the shaft the arbor plates sit against, I inserted a washer and no more wobble
