BRIEF BLOG: AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I SOMEWHAT REMEMBER THIS DARK SHADOWS EPISODE & IT REALLY SCARED ME AS A KID AT THAT TIME. THE CONCEPT OF THE WARLOCK/DEVIL CHARACTERS WERE AHEAD OF THEIR TIME & QUITE SCARY. (RIP) HUMBERTO ASTREDO & THE LATE LARA PARKER. THEY WERE A GREAT TV ACTOR/ACTRESS COMBO. FUN TV MEMORIES OF LONG LONG AGO.
Whilst Joe Haskell is in the hospital, a man named Chris Jennings who resembles Tom Jennings (his brother) startled both Joe & Julia thinking it was Tom Jennings. Actually, Chris Jennings is a werewolf. Angelique summons Diabolos to seek redress against her powerful & a villainous brother Nicholas. Whilst Nicholas is with Maggie, all of a sudden she felt a sense of choking sensation & the room was dark red. Diabolos communicates with Nicholas through Maggie & ordered him to appear before his master Diabolos for punishment. Then, Nicholas arrived at Collinwood & talked with Julia about bringing Eve back to life. Julia refused.
Joel Crothers , the actor who played both Joe Haskell & Nathan Forbes was an extremely talented actor & gorgeous man. So sad , he succumbed to AIDS at such a young age.
Why was Nicholas Blair always attired in that three-piece grey suit? Were grey suits a sort of regulation attire for Satan’s representatives on Earth? By the way, with only that one grey suit to wear all the time, didn’t Nicholas become the least bit “ripe”? PS Satan’s “office” down “below” was really cool. I remember seeing this DS set, when it first aired in 1968. Kudos to DS set designer Sy Tomashoff for creating this memorable set.

PS Nicholas actually did get a new suit, a double-breasted navy suit he was wearing when he returned from “down below,” to supervise Jeb Hawkes’ Leviathan nuptials with Carolyn Stoddard. Unfortunately, he and his former fiancee, Maggie Evans, never did run into one another during that Leviathan storyline.

Tbh, a lot of characters wore the same clothes over and over. Angelique in the green dress in 1897, for example lol
