Taking this trip in April this year. I requested upper deck roommette for better view but was told no guarantee. Thanks for the coverage here just in case. ❤
I watched the whole video! Not all at once, but when I was relaxing. All that was missing was the rocking of the train. I love taking the train. Thanks for this!
BEAUTIFUL MOTHER NATURE OUR COSMICMOTHER OF UNIVERSES WOW WOW WOW ! THANK U VERY MUCH FOR SHARING A EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE AND THE WORLD SHOWING to US.
I took this ride just this week and it was beautiful. Colorado and California in particular were stunning with all the canyons and rivers and forests. It was my first amtrak trip and I am definitely doing it again. Also the food was fantastic. I couldn't even finish most of the meals because it was just so MUCH, and it was all delicious. I used your videos to research, and I am so glad you convinced me to go. Thank you for all that you do!
I stumbled across your video and I was completely impressed. Your narration and views were beautiful and stunning. Last time on a train was on my way to boot camp in SC in 10/66. My world changed from that point onward. Semper Fi 💚👍
Wonderful train journey especially after Denver when the most beautiful scenery is found. Up to then, it’s mostly agricultural fields. The return to daily service and the traditional menu are a plus.
Thank you so much for taken this video on your trip, I really enjoyed watching it very much! I Shared it with other family members to watch and enjoy. Seeing God's handiwork of what He created in America's landscape was amazing!
I ride the City of New Orleans, Saluki, and Illini quite often from Champaign to Chicago and then transfer stations to catch the Metra Northwest to the end of the line (and back). Love Union Station. One of these days I plan on traveling to San Jose, CA to see my sister.
Just finished California Zephyr. That was great!! Enjoyed seeing what the dining car experience was like. And loved the scenic mountains. Don't change a thing, Jeb!!! Best travel blog ever!!!!
Thank you for the little clip of Coors Field! This babeball fan loved seeing that. I get this was about the colors, but IMHO it's not a Zephyr vid without showing the Big Ten curve. That's on me. :D I really loved seeing the rafters on the Colorado River above and through Red Canyon. Plus the peeps fly fishing! This is the first Zephyr video that I've seen that shows that. Glenwood Canyon was magnificent. This was a wonderful video that my 89 YO father enjoyed as much as I did. Thank you for posting!
Absolutely wonderful :) !! I am looking into taking this trip in the fall . . why be up in the clouds when you can have phenomenal relaxing views like this with no rush?? Thank you so much for bringing Amtrak into the limelight as an alternative form of travel :) !!
I really appreciate your videos! I’ve been wanting to book a ride but just waiting for the perfect time. My plan is to go from LA to either Chicago or NY. Either way, I’m looking forward to this traveling experience!! 💞
Only the tinting of the windows is noticeable and causes burning eyes, eye fatigue and headaches. And the feeling on a opened window is so much better.
Best time to see the mountains in Colorado is in October when the beautiful colors of the leaves change from yellow to red and have aspen trees (the best places to visit ) which have white stumps and branches which elevation is 6,500 ft to 8,500 ft . ?? Colorado has 5he most 14,000 ft mountains in the states .
This is a great video. Would suggest that you add relaxing music for night-time viewing -- Fish by Jincheng Zhang. These relaxing videos/music are very popular. For example, I also like Canon d in the 1-Hour 2-Hour, etc.
In your website it says the preferred side to sit on is the south side, but except for the canyons portion of this trip it looks like the video is all taken from the north side. Our (most likely coach) trip isn’t until October but we are already stressing what side to sit on. Do we choose the south side for our coach seats so at least we are guaranteed the canyon view and play it by ear by flipping sides in the observation car for the other views?
We are booked on the California Zephyr from Denver to Emeryville on 9/16-17 and returning to Denver on 9/20-21. Will that be too early to see fall colors in the mountains? We wanted to wait until October but we used the Roomette BOGO deal, so we had to book before the end of September. By the way, THANK YOU for letting us know about the periodic Roomette sales!!! That is a huge savings. :-)
Any idea when the Zephyr will get new sleeper cars? The old ones just are not in good repair, dirty and stained. I won't pay that kind of money for one.
when is the best time to book this trip? i want to take the same train during fall too. but i'm from Hong Kong and I'm not sure when is the best time to travel in order to see the beautiful scene of foliage.
@@GroundedLifeTravel yeah winter would be great too. is it normally end of September or early October when the Rock Mountains will be cover with foliage? Seems like there's only like a 2-3 weeks window..
If you can inquire looking at the foliage from New Hampshire thru New York State then Ohio. I grew up in Chicago, Il so I got to see foliage there, it was pretty. 3 years ago, we traveled to see foliage in New Hampshire and it is truly majestic, best location I have seen anywhere else.
@@ronnycheung4162 let me ask our 2 families that live in Concord New Hampshire. Let me ask my husband bc he did the driving when we went. For now look up www.visitnh.gov/seasonal-trips/fall/foliage-tracker. . Also UA-cam New Hampshire foliage. Finding hotels in the rural is not like getting hotels in a big city. It is small chain names. Everyone is super nice. Google or UA-cam New Hampshire foliage. the Mountain View were very very nice. Also look up the location where the movie “On a Golden Pond” with Henry Fonda was filmed at. That is another area we drove around during the peak . It is a small town with many family owned businesses. They may have lodging there, which is nice bc it is a small town. As far as scenery on the road; it is also nice, they are known for “covered bridges”, some have restaurant next a few of the covered bridges, so the view is pretty,, food wise try their lobster sandwiches and some family owned restaurants with live folk music. Not sure when, but we are planning to go back for the fall again.

I would like to see this route in the winter with all the snow on the mountains.
I watched the whole video! Not all at once, but when I was relaxing. All that was missing was the rocking of the train. I love taking the train. Thanks for this!
I appreciated no added music SO much!

You should go for it!
What’s the cost of coach and which is best seasoon
Riding California Zephyr through Rocky Mountains is the most beautiful train ride in U.S. I think. I rode California Zephyr back in June.👍🙂
Amazing, beautiful, congratulations

We do have to agree with you!
I used this to help me fall asleep last night. 😂 beautiful views!

TOOK THE ZEPHYR TWICE IN THE PAST SIX YEARS. LOVE MY AMTRAK, HATE THE COST.
Amtrak is literally cheaper than plane fare-
@@ZazzelTheGamer What about sleeper?

Yes, choose south side. We are only on the north sometimes because that is where our roomette was assigned so we had no choice.

T-Mobile covers quite a bit of the area on this train until you get to the rocky mountains...
when is the best time to book this trip? i want to take the same train during fall too. but i'm from Hong Kong and I'm not sure when is the best time to travel in order to see the beautiful scene of foliage.
The fall is beautiful because of the leaves changing color but it’s also beautiful in the winter when there’s snow on the mountains.

Which month is perfect for snow views? planning a 51 hour bucket list trip with my family.
We think February, but you never know
Is it better to take this tour in the spring or summer or fall?
Any other passenger trains other than amtrak?
There were some local ones that travel much shorter distances but many were acquired by Amtrak.

Needs a narrative
During your presentation I missed the grown men due to the overgrown men filling the viewfinder.
I feel like if you reposted this with some lofi/background music I’d play this all the time while studying
Good idea!
